It was my first time here yesterday. I brought my husband, mom and SIL with me. Before coming in, I called about theee hours before to make an appointment and I am glad they were able to accommodate the four of us on such short notice. My husband and I did the couple massage. It was a combination of both body and foot massages. They also did hot stone massage in between. The pressure was just right. They ask you anyway if you want more pressure or not. The massage was an hour long and if you look at the prices at their website, you can tell it was a very good deal. My mom and SIL did the combo massage (hour-long foot and body massage combo). They loved it! The place is just small but they have individual stalls and for couples, they have private rooms. I came here because I wanted to treat myself but also because I've been in a ton of pain. I was able to be seen fairly quickly, the owner was apologetic because it was busy. Clean and warm. I am going to recommend you call ahead if it's a Friday or weekend because they are very busy. Decided to give this place a try because it was last minute and the pictures didn't look that bad. When it comes to massage/spas - relaxation, cleanliness and service is what I rate them on. Upon walking in, it seemed like someone had just heated up seafood so it smelled pretty bad. We were quickly accommodated which was nice. The massage itself was okay. I couldn't fully enjoy it because The commercials would interrupt the soothing music, at one point I heard a child on their tablet, the ceiling was not closed off (does that make sense?? ) so I could hear everything going on outside of the door. I found out that my friends didn't even have music in their room but they could hear it playing in my room. If you have back pain and need someone to dig in, this may be the place for you. For me, I didn't feel clean and there were multiple factors that made it not so relaxing. I'm giving 2 stars because the customer service was great and I can see they were trying to make it work. Typical Chinese Reflexology spot with Foot Soak and Reflexology, and full body reflexology. My partner and I opted for the 90 Minute (30-minute foot and 60-minute body) reflexology package, which was very good for me. My partner's first time experiencing this and he was was caught off guard with the strength and pressure from this massage. Communication is key when it comes to these places, my practitioner didn't ask me about tension or really consulted with me about the actual massage, just went for it, while my partner, it sounded like, was getting a good beat down. I think it's fairly typical for these places to just go for it when it comes to the services they offer. While I prefer this style on my massages, some might not and it might steer people away. I would say, give it a try, if it's not your cup of tea, just laugh about it later. I know I did, but laughed about it as an experience with my partner. The place is in a strip mall in the Twin Lakes Neighborhood of Federal Way, with it being pretty close to the parking lot, sometimes you heard people yelling or cars passing by so the ambiance could be a little bit better, but what do you expect from a fairly priced Chinese Reflexology place (I've gone to worst, where it smelled like cigarette smoke and felt no form of privacy, this place had none of those, so it was definitely a step up). read more

My expectations for this place were low. In a strip mall, $60 for a 60 min massage and same day appointment availability, but I was still hopeful based on the earlier reviews. I gave 3 stars because I was pretty sore from my workout routine and the massage did loosen things up. That said, the technique and ambiance left something to be desired. My masseuse used sudden, erratic thumping and pinching when she spotted a tight muscle. It wasn't wholly unpleasant, but it didn't seem like she'd been professionally trained or had much experience. The Thai massage stretching at the end was a nice addition, but the masseuse didn't have a good handle on how long to hold a stretch, where to put pressure, she mostly just flung arms and legs. I think I would have really enjoyed this part of the massage if she had a better understanding of the body and technique. Unfortunately, despite other reviewers saying to the contrary, it did smell of cooked food inside and there were several full volume phone and in person conversations and a doorbell that rang frequently. I would have understood quiet conversations, because the walls don't reach the ceiling, but there didn't seem to be any attempt to maintain a quiet environment. I would go back if I had an appointment with Mei (based on reviews she sounds like the best) and I really needed a massage for mobility / pain. If what you're after is relaxation, I would spend the extra cash on a spa appointment. read more

Great massage with hot stones included, plus if you come in groups of 3 or more, everyone gets a discount of $10, making it $50 for a 60min massage which is a fantastic deal. What an embarrassing and awful experience my mom was in room 1 , I was in room 2 and my daughter was in room 3. We could hear loud conversations between the employees for most of the 60 minutes. It wasn't until I came out and spoke with my mom and realized it was her therapist, talking on the phone, her entire massage as well as talking to other employees through the walls very loudly. I frequent this style of massage in many cities across the US. Ive had my fair share of fantastic and terrible. My experience today was neither. I will say it was decent and I will return. After reading all the reviews, I was a little hesitant. I am pleased to say that my lady did a pretty good job. First of all I have very strict requirements for my massage people and this place hits them all. 1. Walk-ins work AND they take reservations. We walked in. And they took us right away. 1 hour couples massage = $100, fantastic price. 2. No chit chat. I want to relax, sometimes I fall asleep. She didnt talk to me, except to check about pressure. 3. This place can be hit or miss and I don't really like it because you are paying for a specific service and I feel like you don't always get it here. Sometimes I go in and it's great and other times they don't do this or that and all of the sudden this is an additional charge, things like that. Once I got a face massage the other time I didn't. And I always go and get the same thing, a deep tissue massage w hot stones and every time it's different. Once the rocks were way too hot so the second time I skipped them and she still put a hot towel and it was a big mess, kind of rushed and not so relaxing. I've had massages by different people and everyone does it differently, so I suggest scheduling it w someone you liked? Also, I had done a couples massage here and they ladies kept talking durning and laughing or leaving often which takes away the whole relaxation part of it. Anywho, I did not like when I went to pay this last time and the woman skipped the percentage for the tip amount for me to put my own amount and I had to go back and forth w her about it because she didn't want to show me the percentage until I pulled my phone out to do it myself when she got annoyed and did it. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. I went in for a 60 min foot + 30 min body massage. The lady that was massaging me and I swear she was rubbing me. Nowhere near what a massage would feel like. I asked her to go harder but she didn't change the pressure until I asked the third time. She would get up every 5 mins (at least 10 times during the massage, I kid you not) to pick up a phone call or talk to a customer. They're severely understaffed. Then she was sorry and said she would give me 20 more minutes free. YET, she ended the massage 15 minutes EARLY. That's a 75 min massage, not 90 or 110 like she promised. When it came time to pay, I mentioned that she had ended earlier than even the 90 minutes even though she promised 20 EXTRA minutes. She started getting angry very quickly and started raising her voice at me. She couldn't speak English enough to explain herself. But when I explained calmly that she started at 1:20 and ended at 2:35 (75 mins not 90), she couldn't give an answer but just started yelling in Chinese. @_@???? Another lady came out to see what's happening and it happened to be the owner. She was saying sorry to me over and over and told the worker to stop yelling and walk away. She said she would charge me $60 for an hour body massage but to tip the worker at least $10. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Even the owner is afraid of that crazy worker. I've been coming here twice a month for 5 months now and will continue as long as they are in business. Mei is my massage therapist (LMT) that I see everytime, she is by far the best of the best! I retired from the Army 20+ years ago, I spent 24 years in the Army as an Infantry soldier and have had numerous massage therapists as far back as during my time in the Army and none of them compare to the quality and healing effects of the deep tissue massage Mei provides (yes I am in my 60's). Since my time in the Army my back, shoulders and knees have been problematic due to the wear and tear from all that time in the Infantry; I can say pain has been my constant companion for decades! Mei has been a Godsend for sure. The muscle pain/tightness relief from her deep tissue massage lasts until my next massage, something that I never had before with any other therapists.
