The first time I went to Identity, I saw Lori. We were taking my pink hair back to blonde. I didn't have super high expectations since it's quite the transformation to do in one sitting, but that lady is a miracle worker. It looked like I had never even had pink hair before at the end and she used super gentle products that didn't destroy my hair. The second time I went was with Shauna. She was so much fun and I was really impressed with the super shimmery highlights she gave me. I also loved how informative she was about what my options were, what products she was using, and what the entire process was. The employees here obviously really know their stuff and were so personable. I've been skipping around between a bunch of salons before deciding on which one I wanted to commit to and this one def has my loyalty. Fully recommend this place. read more

Oh my gosh. I can't rave about this place enough! I was recommended to check it out by my coworker and had my hair done today. I am IN LOVE. First off, let me start by saying that every stylist there was so incredibly friendly and kind. The owner consulted with my stylist, Kirsten and helped us come up with a game plan for my hair - which was fairly damaged and needed some serious color correction. The process took about 4.5 hours, but Kirsten made it a ton of fun and even offered me a glass of wine (which was delicious!!!) I came in with reasonable expectations, knowing to get to the color I want, it would probably take at least one more visit. However, what I ended up with is SO BEAUTIFUL in the meantime, I'm not sure I want to change it! I'll definitely be back and I'm so excited to have finally, after so many years of mediocre haircut/color experiences, ended up with something I'm absolutely obsessed with and to have found my salon. I would recommend Identity to anyone and I can't sing Kirsten's praises enough but I watched other stylists work and complete cuts/color while I was there and I can safely say you'd be in good hands with any of them. read more

Kristen colored my hair recently got $138. I told her that my hair doesn't take color easily. I regret that I didn't take a close look at the roots before I left. When I washed my hair I noticed that the back and sides of my head still had an inch + of grey hair. When I went back to show her she felt it was grow out (which it wasn't). She did say she would make a note and use a different kind of color next time. I was unsatisfied with the resolution and will not be returning to the salon. read more

I went in to get my hair colored with Holly McCune at Identity Salon in Stanwood and on the first visit, it looked good and paid $285 for the service. Holly stated she wanted to touch up the top for a spot she didn't like hwo it turned out. So I came back a day later for a routine toner and she told me that she was using a product she never used before. The color of the toner was an orange/brassy color, so I asked her if thats the color it was going to be and she said don't worry it will not be this color. I also didn't understand why she needed to touch the ends of my hair as they were just fine. Well, turns out it did turn my hair completely an orange/brassy color in several spots, which now looks horrible. When I asked her about the brassy spots she told me she had never worked with that product and didn't know my hair. I asked her if she could correct it and she told me that she has to pay for the products but could offer at the next visit to take off the cost for coloring the in between the foils. I told her I couldn't leave it this way and she replied, give it a couple of days as it will look different outside. I said that I could see blotches of orange/brass spots and the lighting isnt going to make a difference, in which she replied, I understand if you want someone else to fix it. I emailed her after I had time to see it in different lighting and asked her for a refund. She replied due to her product cost and the time she spent for the service she would not offer any refunds. I was completely taken back by her not offering anything for the service as I had to go somewhere else and spend another $300 to correct what she had done. I feel she is very unprofessional and didn't care she completely damaged and turned my hair an orange/ brassy color due to her using an unfamiliar product. Her attitude was oh well, get someone else to handle it as it wasnt her problem. I would never recommend this salon as clearly Holly McCune doesnt care about making it right nor about her reputation, otherwsie she would have a t least offered a partial refund or made arrangement to corrected the color free of charge at the next visit. I am extremely disappointed and feel the salon should have made it right as that was the honorable thing to do with good customer service. read more

Doesn't get better then this! I can not think of another place I would go to. Went in today not knowing what to do walked lot with an amazing cut that I am extremely happy about. Product in their store is paraben free, sulfate free, alcohol free and doesn't weigh down your hair. Love! read more

I've been coming to Identity Salon since they opened and my stylist moved there (Raechelle Lee) in 2014. I like everything about this place and I've been to lots of salons in my life from L.A. to Honolulu! They have all the best hair products and practice updated styling you would expect in an upscale salon without the pretentious attitude and astronomical prices. The salon is super clean and modern and you feel pampered but not overwhelmed. I haven't been to other salons in the Stanwood area because I love this place; location is great for me with lots of parking. I don't know how they compare in price to others but I think you won't be disappointed if you give them a try if you're looking for a clean, modern environment with stylist who are young enough to give you an up to date look yet sensitive enough to "just keep you looking groomed". I've seen young and old, male and females come and go in the salon and they all look happy. I highly recommend them. And, Raechelle Lee is awesome if you can book her. read more
