I called 911 & Schaumburg Police Dept sent out a squad to help by sitting behind me and keeping a car from hitting me while we waited for a tow truck. They waited behind me until the tow truck had my car loaded on the flat bed truck and we were on our way. For all the shit you hear about the police most of them are there to serve & protect and do a great job. There are always going to be a few bad apples but probably 98% do there job. They kicked me out of the house and he didn't get in trouble at all for dragging me all over the house and putting his hands on me. The waiting areas are ample and clean. The protocol is easy, go get a registration card provide income evidence and then grab a number. The convenience is in the barcoded card that they make. Unlike some other food pantries which require proof of address and income every time you go in here they only need it once a year. The first visit takes a while due to the papers so allow up to 2 hours. Average subsequent visits will take about an hour at the most on a busy day. They have a good variety of foods and typically have some sort of fish available which is great for people who aren't into meat. If you are in need of food aide this is a good pantry to UPDATE: THURSDAY MARCH 19 2020 Due to COVID19 the food pantry is now appointment only, you can call ahead to schedule a pickup window at their main number. On the day before they'll call you to go thru the pantry list and the next day you arrive during your pickup window and call the main number to let them know you are there. Upon phone call they immediately bring out the groceries and put them in your trunk for you. This contactless method is being employed by many pantries now. Eventual online ordering is planned. COVID19 has taught us that people are laggy to adopt new things like curbside pickup and pickup in general but when forced to use it they love it. Being able to poke around the food, sure it was nice, but damn it was slow. From pulling up to pulling away it was less than 10 minutes. Fastest food pantry visit ever!

This my first review of a....post office... but here we go:…read more Waiting in line is the worst; everyone agrees with this (I assume). At a grocery store or wherever else a line is formed, more clerks/cashiers will come to the aid and open a new station to get through the line. Such is not the case at this establishment. In fact, there was an individual at the register not making eye contact with us and certainly not eager to help, and another person who consistently stepped away from the desk, and not in a sense to help a customer, but after helping someone they would step away so the next person in line can feel like a chump that much longer. The final rock star was a drone (see my tip) who said no words, wore no expression, and simply extended her hand for things. I handed her my ticket, she walked away in silence, came back with my box and dropped it onto the counter (she didn't set or place it). After any potential glass in the box had been broken, without a sound she extended her hand again apparently for my ID, then scanned it with her eyes and noticed the names matched. She handed it back and slid over the box, and I handed her a misdirected piece of mail I received, and as I started to explain that they don't live there anymore, she interrupted and said "Ok, thank you" so I just walked away. Maybe she was just running out of batteries? I'll give iHer the benefit of the doubt, I just hope she plugged in when she got back to her domicile. I didn't give 1 star because without the USPS I wouldn't have a coffee grinder amongst other things. However without the USPS I also wouldn't have 750 coupons a week for new siding or gutters. I gave 2 because this could be an off day; probably not. But that extra star will act as good hope that somewhere out there, someday, a person like you or me, have received--or will receive--good service from an employee here. I apologize for the rant, I just dislike feeling like I'm inconveniencing someone when I need them to do their job. They know exactly what they sign up for when they submit the application. They had numerous opportunities to back out during the interviews/background checks/drug tests/other government procedures for employment. I guess in retrospect it's my fault. I decided to live in an apartment, requiring me to go to the post office to pick up anything larger than a magazine. So if I hadn't moved in, I wouldn't have had to go to the post office, and I wouldn't have met the robot woman, and this rant-review wouldn't exist. Yeah, that's on me.... TL;DR: Prepare yourself to wait in line and have everything you need readily available, but don't bring your personality because it wont compute.
