You placed your documents into a plastic garbage can and then they loaded that into a truck. There were a bunch of things that you couldn't place into the truck like batteries. I was asked not to add red welds which makes sense because they are thick. I saw a man try to put some weird wet documents into the bin and he was asked to remove them because they could possibly cake up the shredding apparatus. Despite all of this, the representative from the company patiently assisted everyone with an upbeat spirit. My neighbors love that event and are very thankful for it. They love it so much. They always put it on my calendar. It is a great community service and the gentleman from USA Shred was patient, courteous and very helpful. If you are considering a public-facing shredding event or need to shred significant amounts of documents, this place is a good option!

Especially for mail box service, all mails are kept safe even I sometimes go to retrieve after over a month long vacation (and this time with this corona virus outbreak) ! If I get a package delivered, they will send you their own tracking via e-mails so I can track that specific package using password. You can drop off mails and boxes to be mailed with easy and fast ! When I called the office, the staff was pleasant and helped me right away, just like I remembered. Unfortunately, my recent experience did not meet the high standard I had come to expect. I was not informed of the price or given a quote in advance. In the past, I was simply billed after the service, so this process was new to me. I understand that prices may have increased over time, but the way the situation was handled felt disappointing. When I spoke with the staff, the tone became dismissive. I asked to speak with the owner for clarification, but my call was never transferred. It truly saddens me to share this because I have had wonderful experiences with Time Shred in the past. I hope they take this feedback to heart and return to the warmth, communication, and professionalism that once made their service stand out.

I had an excess amount of unnecessary papers and files to shred (approx. 150 lbs) and I called around and found a great company called Time Shred to help me. They send a man right to your door and have a 96 gallon container (which holds up to 300lbs). I posted this on my "building link" and received over 5 replies. One of my neighbors had about the same amount of papers so we shared the expense (about $ 100.00 per person). They load your papers onto the truck and you watch on the monitor and witness it all being shred in about 10 minutes! They give you a certificate of completion at the end. This is the most inexpensive, hassle free and secure method of shredding in bulk, ( I researched many options before doing this). If you need their services call Megan, the Manager (she is very helpful) at 212-359-0643 , and she will walk you through the process and options. A great experience this morning. Initial order This was straightforward. I placed the order online, and in theory, someone was supposed to contact me to set up scheduling and onboarding. Four days later, I still had not heard back, so I sent them an email. Eventually, someone reached out and I provided the requested details. Scheduling After that initial contact, it was several days before I heard back again. The designated account representative was slow to respond. I sent another email to their support and then got my pickup date from my dedicated representative. I wasn't given a specific pickup time, so I sent several more emails, as I still had no assigned pickup time. End result After a few more emails, I finally received a pickup window. They said they don't provide a specific time until the day of. I wondered why that information couldn't be given earlier. In any case, the pickup window was from 12pm to 4pm, which seemed reasonable. The gentleman showed up around 1pm with a locked plastic bin, and he was very friendly and answered my questions. This part was the smoothest of the entire process, actually getting the work done. The coordination beforehand took the most effort. Conclusion There are several companies that offer shredding services, but if you have five boxes or fewer and want to pay about $100, then Iron Mountain appears to be a solid option. While the communication and scheduling could be improved, based on my research, they have a strong position for smaller shredding jobs. If you know of other options that might be better, I'm open to suggestions for future projects. Otherwise, these are likely the company you'll want to consider.
