We were scheduled for a very fast but difficult move, from a large 3rd floor walk up apartment with very tight stairs-only access in Central Manhattan to a large house in Harrison, an hour north of the city. Throw in a bit of winter dark, cold and snow for good measure and it was all shaping up to be the move from hell - we were dreading it. Between our very big vinyl and artwork collections it was stressful just thinking about it. Luckily we were referred to Arrow and were so relieved to meet Sheldon, who made the whole situation sound manageable. He's extremely understanding of you saying how YOU want things to go - we wanted to pack a lot ourselves and he gave us realistic parameters for box size and weight, and talked us through a plan that his team would execute - and did with incredible care and professionalism. He inspired confidence before we even got going, and was always available to return calls or texts. The team were amazing - seriously, we've moved multiple times around the world and encountered all the mover stereotypes there are - the clumsy, the surly, the lazy, the crazy - this team had none of those guys - they were INCREDIBLE. They - like Sheldon - listened to anything I asked or wanted done, truly acted like a team, handled my artwork as if it was their own, and never complained about the stairs, the cold, or the millions of boxes we had. We're very grateful to Danny, Dom and Jeff who were with us both days, Michael (the singer!) and Javon who were with us for the first (and worst) day, Jose who wrapped and transported my art PERFECTLY, and Joe, who ran his team like a true star & who was friendly throughout the whole stressful day. Arrow is a little more expensive than some others - but we don't regret a cent. No breakages. No hassles from our (awful) Super about the movers. No damage to either building. Just such a relief. This is the first time I've used Arrow. My company of 25 people moved after being in the same location for 25 years. Jimmy gave us a very good quote after coming to our existing office to survey what needed to be done. He sat with me to go over all the details of what to expect. He was very thorough and organized with the details of what needed to be done. The eco-crates and tech bags were great. The sticker system that they use is amazing. It was so easy for me to explain to my staff how to pack because of Arrow and their expertise. Artie was very helpful in setting up delivery of the materials and offering assistance whenever I needed it. On moving day, Matt and his team were unbelievable!!! They had us packed up in less than 2 hours. They were very careful with our furniture and took extra time with delicate items to make sure they were safe. They had the unloading part moving like clockwork and that was done in less than 2 hours too. Their sticker and placard system was great. The guys knew exactly where to put everything with little input from me. They even built us some extra desk pieces with leftover miscellaneous furniture we had. I did drive them crazy with moving desks around but they were very professional and courteous throughout the whole process. They made this move stress free for my company. In my latest move to a new apartment, I was required to use professional movers. I had no idea which moving company to use, so a friend of mine recommended that I use Arrow. I'm glad I listened. I never used professional movers before, so I was surprised when their sales rep, Sheldon, asked to come to my apartment to gauge what resources would be needed for the move. Not only did he survey what was in my apartment and the building layout, he also went to the new building to survey that layout. He prepared an estimate which was spot on. He gave me advice on how to pack my boxes to make my move efficient. The day of the move, which was Xmas Eve, he came with the crew to make sure the move stated smoothly. The crew leader, Joe, was professional and experienced and the crew could not have been better. They had plenty of bins, dollies, and supplies with them. They had me moved within 5 hours from point to point. Although they mostly deal with business clients, they do take on residential clients, so call them to see if they can schedule you. My family was moved by Arrow to our temporary housing situation and they helped us with everything. From moving our piano to moving our couches and delicate items they helped us so much! I used this company to move from Rockville Centre to Long Beach and couldn't have been more pleased with them. They went out of their way to take great care of me...in fact, their workers cared more about my furniture and new home than I did. My huge desk wasn't going to fit through the door to my home office and the movers gave me options, including removing the door frame or pushing it through with the knowledge it might scratch the desk or frame.
