The barber is excellent! Ryan gave me (a senior) a professional cut, shave, and did a good job. I will definitely recommend him to anyone.

Here is the short version: Crappy haircut, high pricing, poor service. Extended version: Let me start from the beginning. I got to the barber shop and end up having to go get cash because this facility DOES NOT TAKE CARDS. So don't go there thinking it's one of the places you can just whip out your card and swipe away. I didn't have a problem with paying in cash of course and there is a conveniently located ATM in the building next door. (Which is only a hop skip and a jog away). When I got back the man addressed me as a male, when I am a female(I'm not flat chested, and I have a pretty dang feminine voice) I sat down in the chair and this little old man, the very same one who thought I was a guy, came up to me and asked me what I wanted. I was very very apprehensive at first because my experience with anything but black barbers in Michigan has always been unsatisfactory, and apparently I was right in being apprehensive. I told the guy all I wanted was a temp fade and a little off the back and he proceeded to pull out his clippers and start cutting. I should've known something was wrong because he was using a comb to try to get an accurate cut line instead of the actual clipper heads which have specific lengths so you can say, "hey take me down to a one or two Mr. Barber!" And you'll get what you want. Let me remind you, dear reader, that this man asked me if I wanted him to touch the top and I specifically said no. Anyway, after he started cutting I relaxed a little because it didn't look so bad, but after five minutes and he was still cutting I started to get angry. When he finally noticed my face he stopped for a second and asked if his cut line was too high. When I told him yes, he proceeded to keep cutting anyway. Twenty minutes later he pulls out scissors and starts cutting all over the place. After I leaned away from him for the second time and told him to stop freaking cutting off my hair he looked indignant and huffed then continued to cut my hair. At the end, he asked me if I wanted to get razor lined up which I thought was standard, but I said why not. A line up may improve this shitty hair cut. So I nodded and he whipped out his razor and proceeded to literally cut me. I have a giant cut mark on my forehead that bled. Yeah face cuts bleed more than anything else but that's why you don't cut the person you're shaving. You just shave them. And after he finished scalping me he put alcohol on it. And everywhere he tried to take off my scalp was on fire. And then he turned me around and I almost was ready to tell him to take his razor and shove it. I look like a prepubescent boy who made his barber angry got a shitty haircut and went home and shaved his little brother in revenge. I'm the little brother. In the back he started my line in the middle of my head and it's a curve which doesn't look well on someone with my head shape. It should've been straight lines across the back but instead it's curved like some obscene melon from hell. The sides he also turned into nonexistent blobs. It's not a line up its a circle up. And then we get to the front of my head and see the hole in my face (which is still bleeding) and the fact that he just ran the razor across my head instead of actually lining me up. I wanted to tell him to take his stinking haircut back but it's not like he could uncut my hair and even if he could I would trust him as far as a slug can jump to do so. If there was a way to give this place less than one star based on the performance of that man I would. The hair cut cost me $20. And I did not tip. The facility however was clean and quiet and located in a nicer area. Be prepared to get lost if you've never been into those buildings before. It is clean and quiet. And if you do still go to get your hair cut there, beware the pricing. Beware the hair cut quality. I would never ever in a million years go back to this place. Not even if they were the last barbershop on earth and I had a job interview at 10:00 the next day. Never. -Sincerely, One angry Mofo
