I'm really glad to have found iFix, and highly recommend them! Mike helped me fix my dryer in 2016. Paul, the repair guy that came to my house to fix my 6 year old GE Profile dryer was completely unable to fix it. Actually he wasn't even able to open it up to see what the problem was! On Wednesday , when he first came to look at the dryer he eventually gave up on taking it apart said he needed to get a diagram from GE on how to disassemble it. I heard nothing from him until I called him the following Tuesday when he basically gave me the brushoff and said he couldn't fix it I will not be calling him for any appliance service again. read more

Paul came out today to check out my Kenmore portable dishwasher (the kind you run through a sink hose) which had been leaking. He was right on time and did a full assessment which revealed that the circulation pump was the source of the leak. Paul told me that it is the most expensive part of the dishwasher and with labor costs as well, it would be almost the same price of a new dishwasher to have it repaired. Really appreciate his honesty so we didn't invest a lot in repairing an old dishwasher that might break again in another couple years. Time to start shopping for a new one! read more

HORRIBLE! First the work they did on day one was below subpar and was overpriced. (See note below). They had to come out twice because the office staff did not give clear instruction as to what needed to be repaired. Then someone called to say that they never knew they were supposed to look at the item that was originally called about. They returned again 2 days later and the tech Tony was the most condescending and misogynous man I have ever met.. He asked if I had a bag to dump some crumbs from the oven pan and I said I would soak it and replace it. his response was "you can't put it back"!! I quickly snapped back "and you don't cook either because it is a woman's job?" His response was "No,I Don't Cook". I continued to wash the oven pan and while he was doing his paperwork I quickly replaced the oven pan when I was done with it.. Oh,I cant drop it in like a pre school toy? To be talked to like this by a repair man was unacceptable at best and leads me to believe that the reason they charged more than a new oven hood to fix it is because they feel they can take advantage of women. Wish I could post a pic of the ridiculous work they did. They replaced a knob that was white with a silver tone one that didn't even fit properly. There is another white knob right next to it so it looks shoddy. I could have purchased and installed a NEW hood myself if I had been aware of the lack of quality and attention to detail. There are so many repair company options I would suggest anyone but iFix. read more

The door gasket on my sub zero freezer needed replaced and there was a strange black stain coming from underneath the freezer. Paul, the technician, found that the coils were extremely dirty which was causing overheating and thus the stain. He quickly replaced the door gasket and cleaned the freezer. Called them about my Whirlpool Cabrio washer on a Saturday and Paul came within 45min. He said he would assess the washing machine before he could gives an estimate for the repair. He worked for about 30min and told me a motor and a sensor had to be replaced. Went to the car, came back and gave me a very detailed quote with the prices of every part and labor. The labor charge was VERY reasonable in my opinion. He gave me no pressure or threat tactics.. he said to think about it and to let him know so he could order the parts. In the end.. buying a replacement was more economical so that's what i did. I will call them again if anything else happens though. read more

I've called iFix about 4-5 times over the last couple years and it's one of the few businesses that have inspired me to hit Yelp to give it a rave. In my experience, the technicians are thorough, easy to communicate with and diagnose and fix the appliance on the first visit. It always amazes me they have the right part in their van to solve whatever issue they discover. Three weeks ago Mike fixed my washing machine and before he slid it back into place he even swabbed down the floor which is unreachable when it is in place. Yesterday a different Mike (is everyone named Mike?) came and fixed my dishwasher. I was surprised and delighted to learn that a Saturday visit was no more pricey than during the week.
