I had my iPhone 13 cracked screen replaced at an "iFixandRepair" at the Silver Springs Walmart. The service technician was very professional and performed his task without issue, my "beef" is not with him. I did NOT have any other issues with the phone besides a cracked screen. What I was NOT told, (unless it was somewhere in the shop), was that the replacement screen is NOT a certified Apple component! The screen did not look the same as the original, not too far off but still not as good. Within a day or two, I started having issues during several calls. Screen goes black, cannot revive unless the other party hangs up. Phone intermittently shut down hard several times on its own. 30 days after it was serviced, (lost the receipt so I don't know how long the warranty was, if any), I attempted to do the 18.2 software update. Phone developed an unrecoverable error and software imploded on itself rendering the phone absolutely useless. Took the phone to an authorized Apple service center, nothing can be done, so I had to replace the phone. I service extremely complicated medical equipment so I know how the service industry works, and issues can arise that may, or may not have anything to do with the original issue. Still, I cannot help but wonder if the BOGUS, non-certified part had anything to do with my issues. Had I known this, I most likely would not have had the screen replaced. They broke my iPad and now say that it was my fault! I brought them a working iPad with a working screen that just had a crack on it. The guy said he would put the screen I brought him on for $50. After coming back 45 minutes later the guy said that he tried but couldn't get the new screen to work. Then he added that when he tried to put the old screen back on it wouldn't work either! I took to someone more trustworthy who told me that he broke the pin connectors when he tried to replace the screen. I talked to the owner who said it's not his responsibility and that h would not fix it because I brought a screen to him. Oh my goodness! Please avoid this place at all costs! Go to ReTech instead. WOW... I have no clue how this little shop received 5 stars. I called ahead to ensure they could fix the screen on my device. The gentlemen who answered the phone said yes however the "Master" would not be in until the next morning. I went ahead and drove to the mall to drop the device off so that the "Master" could fix it the next day and I could pick it up that evening once I got off work. Upon arriving at the booth, there was a younger lady (teenager) talking to the young man (teenager) working the booth. So I waited until he was finished with her. Evidently they were just talking.. and she was not there for any other reason. I told the young man who was working that I am here to drop off my device to be repaired and that I had talked to him previously on the phone. Now this young man was actually on the phone with one of his friends while he was assisting me, VERY unprofessional in my opinion. So the young man hands me this form and said I need to fill it out. He then continues talking to the person on the phone and the young lady who was already there. Periodically I had to interrupt their conversation as some of the question on the form were difficult to answer.. I am thinking that this for was supposed to be filled out by the tech vs the customer, but this person working was a too busy to fill it out as he was talking to his friends. Once filled out I handed my device to the tech/teenager and he said to drop by tomorrow night that it should be fixed... ok... I asked if I get a receipt or something that shows I just gave you a $600 electronic device? He looked around confused and we talked about how he is supposed to give me PROOF that he received the item... then the young lady chimed in.."just take a picture of him and your device, it has a date and time stamp of when you took the photo".... REALLY!!! ARE YOU SHITTING ME!!! I didn't want to argue anymore so I took a picture of him with my device. The next day I started calling about 10am every 30 minutes as nobody answered the phone until I call after 1pm. I talked to the "Master" who said that he can't fix it until next week when he gets the parts in. REALLY!!! Yea... needless to say I went over after work and retrieved my device. Bottom Line... I got my phone fixed and the man who helped me was extremely nice and helpful however a few months later my phone is acting weird and their is air bubbles on the top of the screen. They should definitely strive to get better screens for the iPhones. Currently now My phone is ghosting now Due to the screen and with gray smudges under the screen payed a lot of money for a screen that last 2 months only wow. read more

When there tonight to get a glass screen protector to replace a protector that did not quite fit. Well we got one but the touch response was very, very poor so before leaving the mall we asked him to reseal the glass back on and he refused when we said that his sign said that satisfaction guarantee he said that does not apply to screen protectors. He wanted us to pay him again for another one. Come to find out because we got the screen saver case to put a warranty screen saver in it he sold us the wrong screen protector a galaxy 8+ vs our galaxy 9+. Will never buy from him again.
