My good old Samsung Galaxy S9+ fell on concrete and the front screen totally shattered. I happened to be in line at Verizon waiting for them to open on a Monday morning. I had a simple question about my bill. :-( In addition to broken screen the touch functions completely stopped. I could not even turn the phone on. My Verizon rep tried and couldn't restore life either so... I bought a new Galaxy s21 fe. Later that day I googled how to restart a dead phone & fiddled around until my phone came back to life. I rushed back to Verizon and downloaded old phone to new. So much easier set up. I decided to keep old s9 as an audio book player & catalog for my photos but for weeks had to keep saran wrap on the screen because the cracks were so sharp and cut my fingertips. Last weekend I found Gizmo Depot! I am so pleased with the quick replacement of the screen at a reasonable price. I did not get the name (unfortunately) of the great rep I worked with. She was friendly, offered what options I had and I am very happy with the job that was done. She also spoke about various phonecases I might consider to protect it since my house is all tile over concrete floor. It just took a few minutes to choose & install the perfect one. Owner of an IPhone 8 plus...I dropped my phone and the screen was cracked so bad, areas of the screen would not function. Having insurance with my provider I figured, no problem...I'll just call and get it repaired...WRONG...they wanted $200 bucks that I thought was way out of line...but, no, that was just my deductible. I immediately started calling for screen repair shops...the next shop told me $159...the next $149...and they were both short and kinda rude...so I tried GIZMO DEPOT in Lady Lake and spoke with Na... Na was very friendly and professional, she knew her stuff...quoted me a price under $100 dollars and once I got there, it was repaired immediately(took under an hour)...I left a VERY happy customer and will use them for all my cellular needs from now on... DO NOT USE THEM!!! I went there to get my LCD screen fixed on my iPhone 11 promax. I was told $350 for a new screen. So they put the new screen in and now my phone says every time I open it there's not a genuine Apple screen. On top of that I had the phone in my car And the heat Apparently cracked the screen only a few hours after being repaired. I returned to ask them why it cracked in the heat and they need to fix it and they refused. I would not use them for your repair. I could've gotten a genuine Apple screen for $400 so essentially $50 more and they robbed me and then didn't stand behind their work. read more

I had just received a replacement phone for my moto Z3, and had not had a chance to transfer the data. I went outside to talk with a repairman, when my phone fell out of my pocket, face down onto the pool deck. My first - and hopefully the last- time I have had a cracked screen. I contacted You Break I fix (as I live in Ocala, Florida), and they ordered me a new screen, which was to come in the next day. I called when they told me to, but for the next week of checking in with them, no replacement screen. They blamed it on shipping issues, and advised me to go some place else. I searched Google, and Gizmos caught my eye in Lady Lake. I explained my situation to Jennifer and she was EXTREMELY helpful, and told me that majority of broken screens, once replaced, you can access the data again, which was of the utmost importance, as there was important data I needed to retreive, that doesn't back-up into the cloud - who knew? She ordered the screen that day, I received a call the next, to confirm screen had been received, and dropped off my phone, the next day at 2:45 to be repaired. I had an appointment that evening at 5 pm in Lady Lake, and told Jennifer, if it wasn't ready, I would pick it up the next. I received a call at 4:20 pm that same day to say the phone was ready and was working. I was able to retrieive the information I needed. I really appreciated the way she tried to accommodate my needs and schedule. She was very professional, and a pleasure to do business with. The price quoted and charged, not only was the same amount, with no additional add ons, but quite a bit cheaper than the place I was originally going to go to. I did not price shop, as I was in a bind. Turns out, everything worked out for the best. Will definately do buisness with them in the future. Thanks again! read more

From now on this is the only place I will go to if I have an issue with my phone. I have an iPhone 7 and the screen was cracked. Every place I called it was $100 and up which is just ridiculous. I finally called Gizmo Depot and spoke to Na, and I was quoted a reasonable price. Na is so nice and professional. My screen was fixed in about an hour and I am very pleased with how it looks and works now. If anybody has a cracked screen please please make this your only stop. There are reasonable prices and it gets fixed in no time. The service by Na is amazing. She is so sweet and professional. I took a Mac laptop in to have a speaker connector installed. They charged me a diagnostic fee even though I told them that all I wanted was the speaker connector replaced. I paid the fee and waited a month for them to call me about the cost of the installation. After a month I called them and left a number but they never returned the call. I called again and got someone and they let me know that it was going to cost $149 because there was going to be some soldering which would've been four leads on the connector. I then told them I would pick it up that day. When I picked up the MacBook Pro all the screws were not installed to hold the back on and some of the screws were the wrong ones. I went back a second time and got two more screws but they were the wrong threads. I then decided to just order the screws online and forget about gizmo depot. It was a very bad experience which cost me $39.99 and some of the screws of my laptop. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!! read more

I was having problems with my 5 year old Motorola Android phone's battery. I found the Gizmo Depot on Google, with favorable reviews, and decided to see if they could help me out. I dropped the phone off on Sunday at noon and got it back, fully functional, about 24 hours later. Very pleased with the service, price of the repair, and to get my old phone back without having to buy a new phone. Probably saved $1000 or so. Awesome!!! read more

I started going to Gizmo Depot in 2019. I had phenomenal service and it was reasonably priced. I dealt with Na who is the owner's wife. She knew her stuff. Later in 2019 when I went again, the employees that work behind the counter have no customer service skills and lack common sense. I think they probably still know what they're doing but the people that they've hired to service the front end need to be fired. I will never go back there again and I suggest you don't either. read more

I purchased a Samsung S7 Edge replacement battery and a new screen display to replace mine, which was cracked. This was a very costly repair. Within 2 months that replaced battery, which I was told was a Samsung OEM battery - (IT WAS NOT) , swelled up and caused the case to pop open and a red line to come and go on the new display. At that point, I brought it back and the lady told me they would replace the battery again and if I had problems with the red line coming back, to bring the phone back again. I did, as it continued to have the red line on the display. Now the owner of the store got involved and told me they would not replace the display under warranty and wanted to charge me again for a display. Their warranty is useless and their workmanship is inferior. Samsung finally repaired the device, noting to me that the parts they replaced were not Samsung. Do NOT do business with these people. My wife's iPhone 7s was dropped and the screen shattered. I googled the nearest repair shop and it directed me here. I checked them out on Yelp and decided to give them my business......and I'm glad I did. I was assisted by the owner, Na, and she gave me a reasonable price so I was prepared to leave it....until she told me it could be done in no longer than 45 minutes. It only took a 1/2 hour and I got the phone back and it was as good as new and I will be taking them an iPad with a cracked screen after the holidays....... Since then, I have stopped in three times. If you have a broken smart phone and live in Leesburg, Lady Lake, or The Villages, this is the place for you. The owner has a little repair room set up in the back, with a big magnifying glass and all kinds of tiny little tools to take care of all problems with your iPhone or other device. I brought them my iPhone five, with a shattered screen. The glass was literally in 200 pieces. I was told by another store with a fruit themed name, that it was the worst damaged screen they had ever seen and could not be repaired because there was also damage to the metal ring that surrounds the screen. Repair wireless took it in, and although it took some time, he straightened out the damage to the case and got a new screen installed in my iPhone saving the day! They also fix damaged headphone jacks, damaged charging jacks, buttons that aren't working, and so forth. In addition, they sell cellular telephone service, phones, and accessories. read more

I am from New York and was visiting my parents for Thanksgiving and my son's phone wasn't charging. I went in for repair and they fixed it and then "tested it." When we got home we plugged it in and it was not charging. I called Repair Wireless who indicated that I could bring it back in so they could relook at it. This was at approx. 6pm and my flight was leaving at 5 am the next morning, and as I indicated to them I would not be able to do that. They refused to issue me a refund, and I filed a formal complaint with the BBB in Florida. Repair wireless failed to respond to that complaint, so I have now made a formal complaint to the Attorney General. Mistakes happen, I get that, but refund the customer if one does. They did not believe that the phone didn't work - and as I provided to the BBB, we purchased a new one that night from Verizon and that phone was not fixed and never able to be used again. read more
