I am so thankful I chose IFREC for school. It's very stressful when choosing a good school, with high percentage of passing students as well as finding a teacher who is willing to work with you one on one. As someone who has test anxiety, I was always asking my teacher, Valleri, questions every single chance I got and she was remarkable at answering them in a way I would understand no matter how many times I asked! The teachers make themselves available literally 24/7..at the start of every class they hand out their personal number for you to text/call if you have any questions or concerns regarding the material. I even had my teacher tutor me privately before the state exam to ensure I knew the proper material and I PASSED the first try! I don't think I could have been so prepared or done so well if it weren't for the specific teachers teaching this course! IFREC is a wonderful school, Valleri was a great teacher and the students learning always left feeling very confident. This is a TON of material to learn in 7 days, but they make it as smooth as possible and don't force you to learn things that aren't important. I loved the references my teacher would make of relating material we were learning to real life..it made memorizing SO much easier. The flexibility of the teachers was a HUGE help to someone like me. When I called the office to schedule my prep class, the receptionist was prompt and ensured I had all the materials necessary before class. I'm not sure how people have bad reviews of IFREC, honestly if you didn't do well on the test, you can't blame the school or teacher if there are loads of students coming out with passing both exams. The negative reviews on here are most definitely students who did not apply themselves outside of the classroom. The teachers made it nearly impossible to fail. I attended pre-license real estate classes through Ifrec. The class was an intense 3 weekend course that covered the real estate sales course by Linda Crawford. I liked how the class prepared you for the end of class exam. Pros-The study guide outline was condensed so you didn't have to focus on irrelevant material. Cons- this does not prepare you for the state exam. After class, I immediately took the state exam. I failed. I don't blame the school entirely, but I felt we were not given tricky questions like the exam. I signed up for the free cram course. Instead of giving you the exam manual by Linda Crawford, they give you their version printed by Ifrec. I thought they had something helpful since it was feedback from students. This cram was a waste of my time. You sit in a room and the teacher reads the book and skips the important part.. THE QUESTIONS!! They only go over a few that students have trouble understanding. I need the tricky questions from the exam. You really have to get your mindset on what they are actually asking you. They don't just ask factual information. The teachers also go off topic on personal experiences in real estate. I thought this class was to help you pass, not talking about irrelevant stories? After being disappointed, I skipped the second day and studied from home. I bought the book by Linda Crawford, exam manual for sales associates edition 38. The answers in the back explain every question. I hope to pass my upcoming test with a little more theory on questions rather than just going over facts. read more

I spoke to a RUDE lady by the name of Nicole who continued to talk OVER me instead of LISTENING and trying to assist me which I believe her job entails. Very happy with my ifrec course. I took my state exam today for my Real Estate Sales Assoc license and I PASSED, first try!! I took an online course and then the 2 day exam prep course with Valleri Crabtree. The course taught everything that I saw in the test. The instructor explained all the important parts fully and gave lots of tools to retain information. It worked very well. I'm very happy with the money and time spent at ifrec. read more

I would definitely not take a course here. There is only one teacher, Randy Segal and he should be retired. He is totally old school and does not answer student questions. His teaching style is something out of the 50s. He also changed the course schedule, do to a personal reason and he would also leave the room to do his online radio show, right after the course began. He was totally unprofessional, disclosing a students medical condition, talking about his fathers strip clubs, and making sexual comments and inuendos to female students. In addition, he did not prepare us for the class exam. Half of the class failed, which we should have been prepared for with the study guide we were given and the intensive class. I studied all weekend for the exam and still failed. He flew through explaining math equations, when many students didn't understand and when students asked questions, they were told, "It's IRRELEVANT". The school also doesn't tell you that you need to take a class exam and pass before taking a state exam, so I payed over $84 to take the state exam, when it's not even possible now. When I reported my experience back to the headquarters school in Orlando telling them about my unsuitable teaching experience, they would not compensate me for the course and my distress. I am a teacher myself who teaches adult learners and I found this whole experience totally unprofessional and disheartening. Whatever you do, STAY AWAY FROM the STUART LOCATION. I was considering attending their weekend review but after speaking with their very rude receptionist and being told I would have to complete 500 questions before the course I decided this wasn't the right school for me. I was also told all we would be doing was questions the entire time. No memory pegs, math review or tricks to pass the exam. Called Climer School of Real Estate and it was like night and day! Excellent customer service and they teach you only what's on the exam, memory pegs and math review. Sorry IFREC but you really need to have better customer service! read more

I would not recommend this place to take a Real Estate class of a license. They are rude, have no empathy for a family member who is dying, or if you are sick. If you need to take the classsroom exam at a later date due to family illness or even your own illness they will allow it but not after attitude and harassment. I ended up in a hospital due to severe illness the day of the night exam and I was harassed to take it the next day...on a Friday day...so that would mean missing work, canceling a full book of clients and traveling 1.5 hrs to Orlando on a Friday rush hr.... So with all of this I had to go through I would NOT recommend this school at all. It has a left a bad taste in my mouth. I have never been treated so poorly. I was a need agent and appraise in VA AND NEVER was treated so nasty. Take it at your own risk!! read more

Very unethical group. Buyers beware .. I signed up for an online refresher course for the Broker exam. They cancelled the class without telling me and refused a refund, citing they sent me a book and that's what I paid for, not the class. They went on to say that all the instructor will do is review the book anyway. Forgive me, but perhaps that's what I was looking for, a review in a class setting. I already have a book that I received during my pre-licensure work. I'm not sure how they feel they do not need to refund me. Additionally, I offered to give the book back since this is not what I was looking for. They did offer me the opportunity to speak with an instructor, but again, I wanted and paid for, a review in a class setting.. I'm very disgusted with this group and I will not leave this alone. Companies that try to take advantage of people really upset me. I am not sure why this school was given such low reviews. I have been using this school since 1999 from pre- license, post-license, brokers pre and post, as well as continuing education. I recommend this school to everyone. I passed both the real estate exam and brokers exam on the first attempt. I did participate in the CRAM courses and I studied every night, but ONLY what they had us highlight. read more

I have been licensed as a Sales Agent, Broker, Mortgage Broker and did continuing education through IFREC. Pretty basic. Show up, listen, use a highlighter, study the materials, take the FREE test prep course after the class it's a breeze. First licensed in Mass in 1976. By many and varied instuctors who all follow IFREC curriculum. I finished the STATE test do quickly I looked it over again.... That's a sign of great instructors and curriculum. On April 17, 2019, I signed up for an IFREC Real Estate class in Vero Beach, FL that was supposed to start yesterday (May 7, 2019). I received an email correspondence that confirmed receipt of my payment, I had ordered and received my book (paid extra shipping charge), and then received a series of emails from the school asking me to confirm that I was planning to attend, telling me to start reading book right away (before class started), another email suggesting I get my fingerprints on file, submit my License Application, etc. About a week before the course, I received an email asking me to arrive early and bring proper ID and that I would need and to also ensure my Social Security number was on file. All good so far ... I drive down to Vero Beach (45 minutes one way) and ensure I get there 30 minutes early for the first day. When I pull into the parking lot, I noticed it was all but empty other than 2 cars parked off to the side. A gentleman approaches me and says "are you here for the class" at which I respond "yes, I am". He then informs me he has nothing to do with the school but heard the class was cancelled. I asked him if he was positive the class was cancelled and he said he was. I waited around until class time just to be on the safe side since I couldn't believe they wouldn't notify me ahead of time via email. What I haven't indicated so far is that I had taken off 1/2 days from work for every day the class met and had to request this vacation in advance, get it approved, and ensure I had alternates to fill in for me. April Fools, class cancelled! After I left a scathing voicemail regarding the unprofessionalism of this, they said they did call and left a voicemail a few days ago but I receive tons of Robo-Calls so seldom ever check my Voicemail and since they had been communicating with me solely via email, I never thought to even check. Certainly they would notify me in writing or have the courtesy to speak with me in person - they did neither. They indicated I could sign up for a future Class but I'm worried about this same nonsense going on and I can't keep taking Virtual (April Fools) vacations. It's sad because I really thought they were going to be a decent outfit to work with. They said if I didn't elect to take a Class with them, they were going to charge me $53 for my paperback book. Having been in Real Estate for over 20 years, I have taken many continuing education courses and general real estate courses to enhance my knowledge of the real estate industry, all with pleasant experiences. I recently took a one day course with Ifrec. When I called afterwards to obtain information, the staff was completely rude, condescending, combative and dismissive. The two woman (the only people in the office) behaved like they were more interested instigated an argument/power play rather than provide the information I needed. I would not recommend this business based on the unprofessional rude behavior of these two woman on the staff. read more

I attended a two week pre-licensing course in Kissimmee with Karla Robinson as my instructor. I passed the exam easily! I am a teacher with twenty-two years' experience in the classroom myself, and truly appreciated Karla's professional, yet fun approach in instructing the class. She was strict, but that is what is needed when you are cramming a lot of information in a short period of time. She was also very personable and connected well with the students. She made sure we were prepared by answering all of our questions and was much better than the instructor a friend of mine had at Watson, who literally read the book to them and told them what to highlight and underline. IFREC had a PowerPoint presentation, a brand new, updated textbook, lots of helpful handouts and practice tests, and our instructor took the opportunity to use illustrative examples from her own career as a real estate broker to make the content "stick." She provided us with tips and tricks and test-taking strategies, and her warmth and sense of humor made it a pleasure to attend class. You cannot expect the instructor to do the work for you, however! Do your homework and study the study guide and formulas and you will be all set. I will be taking my post-licensing coursework with Ms. Robinson at IFREC, as well. Highly recommended! read more

Go somewhere else! They force you to take the end of course exam within only a couple days of finishing your class. Other schools allow you to take the test when you are ready and on your schedule. iFREC school trys to say it's illegal to change the testing date they give you, that you must have written notice of death, sickness etc...that only applies to your state exam with Pearson VUE. iFREC school is not Pearson VUE! I confirmed that with FREC (Florida Real Estate Commission) also. But it's a good tactic for iFREC school because if you don't take the scheduled date they give you or if you don't pass because your not ready (due to them only allowing you 2 days to study) they charge you $100.So, it's about the $. Other schools do not charge for a retake or to change your exam date. You just try again in 30 days. But typically you pass at other schools on the first try because you take it when you are ready...not when you are forced to! read more
