X-L is one of two dealers of Flexsteel sofas in Edmonton. The other is Finesse. Consumer Reports rated Flexsteel as one of the "best buys" in sofas, which is initially why we sought out X-L. Where X-L really satisfies is customer service, which i have seen lacking from a number of other, larger furniture stores in this city. Prices are presented up front and include delivery. X-L set proper expectations as far as when they could have the couch delivered to me, contacted me once they received it from the factory (it was custom-built for us), and delivered it at a precise time. No headaches at all - just a great sofa.

AND they took away one of the old chairs to donate. We highly recommend XL Furniture for product and service.

The place is chock full of goodies that they get from homebuilders with show homes, home stagers, and other folk who have changed their colour schemes or whatnot. If you're in the market for wall art, pillows, objets d'art, vases, or all sorts of other doo-dads, give this place a try. It's small, but crammed full, and the selection is constantly being updated. Don't forget to look upstairs too. This place is dangerously close to my work AND my house (sort of halfway in between, so I'll be stopping in frequently for new items. The prices were really reasonable for what they had, and the manager, Sydney, was a delight to chat with. She said they've been open for about a year and a half. Too long for me not to know about them! Definitely adding this to my usual list of places to check out for gorgeous decor.

We wanted the blinds on our patio door to slide open and we could not find any company that would make this happen. I was at another store next to Sage Furnishings and decided to check Sage out and I was amazed that they not only carried really neat furniture, but blinds as well. I spoke with Lewis and he said, "no problem we can make this happen" Talk about Wow Factor!! We absolutely love them and we always get huge complements from our friends and family. We had a team from Sage Furnishings come out to measure and discuss what would work best for our home. They made us feel very confident that these blinds will be amazing. Once the order came in they were prompt in coming out to install them, my husband always says, "a happy wife is a happy life" We look at them everyday and never regret having them in our home...they are worth every penny:) We highly recommend Sage Furnishings as they have high quality product and high quality Customer service!

They had a whole section dedicated to theatre seating and had some really unique pieces (giant spinning couch/chairs). Overall, we didn't opt to buy our main pieces here and went with LA Z Boy instead but this place is still worth a luck if you're on the hunt for new furniture. The location is on St. Albert Trail next to a bunch of other furniture places and easy to get to from the Yellowhead or 137th avenue just off St A Trail. This isn't a discount store so expect prices to be higher than the Brick or Leon's for sure.

I contacted customer service to let them know, and asked them to send me a new slat. The customer service person said that if I sent photos, they would judge if they were willing to SELL me a replacement part. Instead of an apology for the product breaking, they were implying that I was somehow trying to trick them (to get a free bit of wood?), and then trying to sell me a part that was defective when they sold it to me. This part is literally worth less than a dollar on a $500 bed, broke so quickly it's either badly made or defective, and it feels like crap when it's broken. I'll definitely never shop here again.

I could immediately tell we would not be able to afford anything in the store, but we browsed anyways. The woman who worked here showed us around and showed us the wine glasses she had available. They were not my style (and I could not have afforded them if I wanted them) because they were very formal, and I was looking for something a little more fun. They did have a selection of wine glasses and other things for 25% off, but even with the discount, these items were not in our range. Despite the lack of money that we had available we walked slowly through this store and browsed the beautiful things. Everything was very formal and fancy. They don't care how the customer feels. I bought a bed from the store in November 2024. The crooked salesman told me the bed was going to be in the store for delivery in a couple of weeks. But to my surprise, the bed was not even in the store until April 2025 and did not come in at all. They would always tell me lies that the bed would be there in two weeks. They were not able to deliver the bed. The salesman told me that it would be better if I cancelled the order. Which I accepted. But at another time when the crooked manager was there, the salesman denied saying that to me. Imagine a bed that was pre-financed by a bank, and I was paying the bank $194.00 biweekly while the bed was not yet delivered. This bed was not available at all until April 2025, and they offered me the floor or a display model. I refused first, and after two weeks in April and their stock couldn't come in, so I accepted to take the offer at a reduced price. The manager said no. After waiting all this time, I just have to take the old, dusty, scraped bed. Upon delivery, the parts were not correct. To cut the story short, the man who delivered the bed have to come the next day with part of other screws to it together at an extra cost. I will not recommend anyone to walk into the store to buy even a pillow. They can lie, telling customers the store will be closing in two months.
