Before hiring him, I specifically asked if he could make it after 12:00 PM. He said yes. I then asked if he could be there before 1:00 PM, and he confirmed he could. The next day he messaged saying his previous job was taking longer than expected. I completely understood that. I even told him that the exact time wasn't the issue. I simply needed the job completed sometime that day because it was important to my schedule, my home, and my family. Instead of honoring the commitment he made, he asked to move the job to the next morning. I explained that wasn't an option because I had hired him specifically because he said he could do it that day. When I told him that if he chose not to complete the job as promised, I would be leaving an honest negative review, his response was completely unprofessional. He told me to "shut up," said I was "very bad at what I do," threatened to report me for harassment, and told me to "get someone else." That kind of communication from the owner of a business is unacceptable. Everyone gets behind sometimes. Jobs run late. I understand that because I run a business too. What I don't understand is speaking to a customer that way after you fail to follow through on your own commitment. I'm a very reasonable person. If Sam had simply called, apologized, and handled this professionally, this review probably wouldn't exist. Mistakes happen. How you respond to them says everything about your business. As of today, I have screenshots of the entire conversation documenting exactly what happened. This review reflects my personal experience with this company. Until the owner takes responsibility, offers a genuine apology, and handles situations like a professional, I cannot recommend MST Services. If you're considering hiring this company, just be aware that this was my experience.

As a whole they are destructively uncommunicative and are outright deceitful, Cesar their GC, and Katherine one of the business owners, particularly so. When problems were encountered, instead of working through solutions together, their strategy was to stall for as long as possible and to ignore our attempts to keep the project moving forward. Their behavior cost us months of delays which resulted in thousands of dollars lost, needless worry and lasting issues with our home and property. If you decide to move forward with this team, please keep record of every interaction, be extremely specific in your contract, and keep your attorney on hand. After our move in, and after clear explicit instructions from me on numerous occasions, business owner Katherine illegally and covertly recorded the exterior and interior of our property on multiple occasions, including video recording me inside of my home while I was unaware. Katherine and the rest of the team do not care about legality, your privacy, or the basic respect of their clients. During the build they tried their best to get more money out of us while delivering substandard work. The only way we were able to move into the home after many months past our projected move in date and many weeks spent in extended stays was by going around them to schedule our final inspection with the county, by communicating with our title company & lender, by filing complaints with the BBB and ROC. Stay on top of your project. If you are providing custom architectural plans, please know that the time, money and planning that went into your build documents mean nothing to them, they will do as they please without your intervention. Consent is not a word in their vocabulary. They changed our home and design, damaged our newly installed materials and appliances, illegally dumped their waste on our property & refused to properly clean up, refused to do work explicitly outlined in our contract, and attempted to cut corners at every turn. They're unwilling to learn, improve or accept responsibility. Through my interactions with this team I have come to learn what the term "gaslighting" means. They continued to smile in my face, offering pleasantries and small talk, expecting me to quickly move past their damaging behavior while their actions and words remained persistently harmful. We also did not have an unlimited budget. Tara was so professional and PATIENT. I was probably super annoying, changed the design and my mind about 20 times, and yet she still called me, spent time creating great pictures of what we wanted, and always answered emails. Tara and her team were very conscious of my time (which is a huge pet peeve of mine when my time is not valued and respected) - I so appreciate them for that!! Also, they finished the work in about two days, and I couldn't be happier. This week has been an average of 116-118 degrees by mid-morning and they were out there working (and sweating!) their butts off. They are so appreciated!! They were professional, courteous, prompt, funny, patient, and kind. I'll do my best to quickly summarize: Requested to treat another Cypress tree that was turning brown, however, mentioned I needed to first fix drip system around house and especially along the cypress trees. Was then informed they also did irrigation and sprinkler/drip systems. My mistake for believing. First appointment day and time was missed. They arrived 5-6 hours after appointment time. 2nd visit was not planned. They just showed up! Cypress trees were fertilized and mulch placed at the base of each. Unfortunately, the labor effort required to fix the drip system was too much for company. Thus, after many hours of effort and failure, see attached for how my front yard was left. Yes, I "lost" many 100's of dollars with this experience.

Ivy isn't a true arborist, but rather a crew of amateur saw wielding clowns. I'm glad I intercepted this crew before they cut my tree down. I'm reporting them to the International Society of Arboriculture, an organization Ivy purports to be a member of.

We initially had concrete in mind, but Jason let us know he got of out concrete and primarily does pavers, as they look better and are stronger. We honestly just assumed pavers would be out of our price range, but opted to get a quote to remove a few sections of our walkway to add the driveway, raise the wall and then a quote to pave around our shed. Though the quote may not have been the cheapest, we also added a project and the over value and product could not be beat. I also truly believe you get what you pay for and Jason and his team do awesome work. Their prices are extremely reasonable for the quality, attention to details and efficiency his team provides. Not to mention were well in range of some of the basic concrete other companies were going to provide, It took about four days from start to finish. We will definitely be calling his them again for any future projects and highly recommend for any projects you are looking to get done!

Basically the job that he did for us was worth about 1/10 of what we paid. We paid to have irrigation done in our backyard because we have real grass. It was not done properly. The irrigation can't handle the grass so every year we have to come up with a solution. The subcontractor that Jeff used is honest and told us that they cut corners. So now we are paying the subcontractor directly to redo our irrigation. We had a travertine patio done also. I recently found out that the travertine that was installed is from at least 3 different color palates. It is most likely scraps from other jobs that we paid full price for. Our job was done during Covid and I'm sure travertine was hard to find, but the fact that he never told us we were getting scrap travertine is so deceptive. It is cracking and falling apart and should be guaranteed, but they won't stand behind it. Every single tree, bush, flower, and I mean literally every one that they planted died within a few months. They give you a short warranty period and then won't stand behind their work. Weirdly, they said that the business had been sold since we had our work done. This was said via email. When we were speaking with a pool company that works with them, they said Jeff Held is still the owner. Another lie. I have heard from other neighbors that used him and were happy with the work that was done, so I don't know why we were so mistreated. We are pretty easy to work with and just ask for honesty and communication. We got neither. Stay far away from this company. Beyond disappointed in their customer service.
