TIRE CHANGE OVER (Re & Re) These guys got their ship together (auto-correct!) Came in to change out my winter tires for summer tires and was a little worried due to the physical distancing rules in our province. Upon setting up an appointment through their website, an email was received for confirmation as well as the new protocol for customers during the pandemic. Each customer comes in 5 minutes before their appointment through the front door. There will be an invoice on a table to the right with your name on it and the service you requested. You take the invoice and head back to your car. Once in your car you place the invoice on the dash as well as your lock-key for your rims if you have one. Then you drive to the west side of the building and cue up in your car till you are ushered into the bay area. You park your car in the spot allotted for you and have the option to stay inside your car or wait outside. They then hoist your ride on jacks and change your tires accordingly while keeping a safe distance. After the service they ask what type of credit card you will be using and bring you the appropriate POS machine. There you tap and VOILA, you're good to go! Honestly, this process was smooth as butter. The staff are very professional and super efficient. The entire process took about 40 mins! This place is amazing and worth checking out! Exceptional service. After spending hours on the phone getting tire quotes, I called Steelcase and was greeted by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. They listened to my request and made excellent tire suggestions. So I drove their immediately. After making arrangements to have my Santa Fe fitted with new tires, I commented on a T-shirt one of the sales people had on and expressed how hard it was to find/buy one like he was wearing. After a couple of minutes he came out of the backroom with a brand new Keep Calm - Chive On. It belonged to another salesperson, but he said I could have it. I offered to pay but was told it was a gift. Now, I realize that Steelcase does not normally give out T-shirts, but this goes to show you the type of people that work here. I cannot recommend this place enough, oh and did I mention that their price came in at $400 less than Canadian Tire and $200 less than Costco? Called today bought wheels before pricing was always decent. I guess they've gotten greedy with time. Called around to cross check than decided to call back and buy with confidence. Mentioned I could get the exact same tire and wheel $20 cheaper. Common sense would dictate they would welcome my business. The response and I quote " We've got bigger overheads here than the shop that must have given you that lower price we there's no way we can compete with that". Lost for a response we said thank you & good bye. Based on that comment it's a wonder the box stores aren't closing. Just ridiculous. Steelcase once was quite good but they're too cocky for us. Who talks to people like that ? Let alone a repeat customer. Lots of tire shops. Steelcase pricing is no longer competitive as it once was. read more

I've probably bought from Steelcase for 6-7 vehicles. Great prices a few years ago. Service was good back then. I would not look anywhere else for tires. The past 2 years, i went to get a quote, their prices were not great, and i found that they try to push certain brands. Maybe for kickback from the manufacture, not sure, but i went in to get quotes for one brand and model and they recommended another brand and model. Also, when you walk in there, the counter staff don't acknowledge you because they are all busy on the phone. Walk-in customers i think are more important, cause we made the effort to drive there and walk into your store. Anyhow, i started shopping at another tire store, because tire prices are more competitive now and i hate long wait times. read more

Was looking for a set of four all season tires, I originally planned on going to Costco to buy tires but after going to three different location and getting turned away due to their garage appointments being full. I was so fed up driving all across the city each of these three different Costco set up and visited this store that I was very happy to be served right away and when asked how long the service of changing in purchasing for new tires will take the sales clerk says about 25 minutes I was absolutely thrilled I agreed to the pricing which was very competitive. read more

Definitely have to recommend this place! First time visit and I love it! The absolute best experience I've had with autoshops. Dave and Chloe are helpful, cheerful, and patience. I visited the shop on a Saturday, the tires I need was not available. But Dave helped to get close by suppliers to deliver the tire, so I don't have to visit again on another day. Had my tires stored over the winter as I have for the past 3 years, in early April had the all season tires put on and the winters removed. On my way home I noticed the "flat tire" warning light on. Thought nothing of it as I suspected the change in the tire size and perhaps low air from storage was the cause. The next day I went outside to see both driver side tires flat. Called to explain my situation, they denied any liability and they first said I could have driven over glass or nails and as a result, coincidentally both tires were flat. After I argued that the likelihood of that would be astronomical they said I can bring it on the following Monday for them to take a look at basically leaving me without a vehicle for 3 days. Horrible service....Not to mention I didn't drive anywhere because of COVID19 closures therefore the nail/glass theory is absurd. Took them someplace else had them fixed it was the seal on the rims that was the problem for both. No nails, no glass could have at least done a leak check before installing and recommend a sand and seal after sitting for 6 months. Pathetic service!!! read more

Walked into their store last week and got prices for rims and tires for my 2013 350C Coupe. They quoted me 1,362.47 installed. They told me that they will call me Monday morning in order for me to come in and get them installed. No one called Monday , so i walked in on Tuesday and confirmed the order and told them that i will be coming Wednesday morning to get this done. They wrote down the price and everything and i made sure that this price was the final price. So i went to the bank and pulled out the exact amount. Walked in Wednesday, and they told me that they would like to settle the invoice after the tires and rims were on the car. I declined and insisted the bill be settled before the job was done. They then told me the price was now $1540. I told them that this was not the original price that was agreed on, they went to explain that the original price did not cover balancing or taxes....... that the price that was given to me was not the final offer and that i was mistaken.... Needless to say i walked out. Its not because i could not afford the difference its because when someone does not honour their deal and act all shady i will walk and find some place else who is honest and i am willing to pay more for honesty and a piece of mind. Just wanted to give anyone who is going there to make sure that the price their getting is ACTUALLY the price. read more

I would not recommend Steelcase tires for seasonal tire change. I went to Steelcase in November 2014 to put on my winter tires already mounted on rims. When I went to pick up the car at the end of the day, I was left standing at the counter waiting to be served, while the sales manager was just chatting. When I removed my winters, I immediately noticed that my rear wheels were way too overtorqued, and that one of the lug bolts had been installed at an angle, which ended up breaking when force was applied. Since then, I contacted Steelcase seeking reimbursement for the replacement of the wheel hub, which they had agreed to and paid. So Koodos to them for taking responsibility. read more

Do not deal with this company! I called this week to get a quote on winter tires. I always ask for the final price, tax in. They quoted me $750 on a set of 4 winter tires with rims, tax in. My friend got tires from them on Friday for $700, all in. I asked if they could reduce price and he did to $700. Went there this morning and all of a sudden the price was now $700 plus 4 rims plus tax. That was not what was agreed to on the phone. Needless to say, I drove away without them installing tires. I have noticed that they did get great reviews, and considering how busy they are, a lot of people do go there, but seriously, with so many tire companies in the city, I would not advise dealing with people like that. Someone else wrote a similar review, take these reviews to heart. They are accurate! read more

Great people who know their rims and tires. Lots of people know about them so you're going to find the line is a mile long when it comes to switching back and forth between summer and winter tires. Just noticed another reviewer who had trouble with other tire places due to odd tire size. Went through the same thing, but these guys found what I needed and got the odd rim size the next day (and actually called me to say they arrived!). read more
