I have used several junk removal and hauling companies before and I must say iHaul is by far the best company I've ever used. I called them for an estimate for two different jobs in two different locations. The lady on the phone was very polite and responsive to what I needed done and was able to send Daniel to come give me an estimate for both jobs the same day I called in. Excellent! When Daniel arrived he was very professional and had a great attitude and personality. He was equipped with a mask and sanitizer to ensure health and safety was priority. He gave me two different estimates for both jobs as one was bigger then the other. He was Very flexible and reasonable in the price of estimates and actually cheaper then most competitors. The next day Daniel and an additional crew member showed up and went above and beyond to help me out as the task at hand wasn't the easiest, along with helping me move some furniture around that I couldn't do myself. With no hesitation I gave him and his crew a tip before 2nd job was started. I also had other things at my property that needed attention, some gardening with minor irrigation repairs needed, fence repairs ect. Not only was Daniel able to provide some excellent resources to get these jobs done, but these companies were equally as great as ihaul and they also spoke very highly of Daniel. Good and honest help is hard to find these days and I highly recommend ihaul for your junk removal/hauling needs. I will be recommending and using them again very soon! I rarely write reviews, but in this case, Daniel and his crew deserve one. Specifically, my mom inherited a house from a very ill friend who had been unable to care for the home for a decade. Uncleaned dog excrement and urine had soiled the carpets for years. The crawlspace had flooded into the floors, and the roof had leaked. Hundreds and hundreds of newspapers littered the home (inside and out), and the refrigerator was essentially glued shut with rotting, ancient food. The entire home smelled horribly--a very sad state of affairs for a guy who otherwise lived a very thoughtful life. None of this daunted Daniel. He provided a reasonable estimate to clean out the home, including hauling away the disgusting carpet and padding underneath, disposing of the refrigerator and the soiled mattresses and couches, and then boxing up and organizing those items that could be saved. This was a whale of a job, and Daniel and his crew executed it perfectly. As a pleasant surprise, the final invoice was LESS THAN THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE! Daniel communicates clearly and frequently, which was necessary on our job given that we had detailed instructions about what had to be discarded and what had to be saved. He is timely, communicates well, and gets the done!! I was on a time crunch and needed items removed before Monday morning. Like every adult, at some point you end up with five tons of dirt that you need removed - yesterday. Tree roots like wayward youths and destroyed the pavers in my backyard and before the landscapers could work their magic it had to be re-leveled and of course I forgot that specific detail... for the six weeks before the landscapers arrived. I called several Junk Removal businesses who either "don't touch dirt... it's dirt." Or could be there as soon as - next month. Then my heroes of iHAUL calmly responded, "sure, we'll be right there." They must have broken the sound barrier while driving because they left from Prunedale and arrived in Monterey literally in minutes, the driver even helped us haul the dirt into their Ginormous Truck. As if that wasn't amazing enough when they took it to the dump, they thought the $200 fee was unfair so they spent their time and money going elsewhere! Amazing. Daniel is not only great in emptying out places, he and his spouse are also incredible humble and caring about the environment.
