Today was our first visit to IHOP in a really long time. And our taste buds were quickly reminded of what they've been missing. We were seated and served quickly, having our drinks in hand within minutes. Our waiter was soft-spoken but very courteous and friendly. I ordered the Berry Crepes breakfast combo with two eggs prepared sunny side up, bacon, and hasbrowns. Everything came to our table quickly, and each item was absolutely fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the Berry crepes! My husband and I also decided to split an order of the Strawberry Cheesecake tacos. OMG! They were sinfully rich and delicious. I definitely want to come back to try the other pancake taco varieties. They look so good! Honestly, my only complaint with our entire experience is that our waiter didn't check back after we received our food, which was only an issue when we needed drink refills. That little issue aside, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back in the not-too-distant future. Went in today to have brunch and had a multitude of issues. First they did not have a correctly calibrated soda machine and after trying two different types of sodas we just got water. Additionally one of us ordered the biscuits and gravy and the gravy was watery and lumpy. Sent it back. The bathrooms were dirty and only had one working toilet. We won't be back. read more

Went here for some morning breakfast. The person I was with had a free birthday pancakes coupon. Upon entering they seemed to be a bit short staffed (which is usual these days unfortunately) as all the booths were empty but still had dirty dishes on them. We took a half table half booth which was perfectly fine. The waitress took our drink orders and came back shortly after with them. Then our orders. Food came out correct and everything tasted great. I had the breakfast Sampler with toast and pancakes. She had pancakes with sprinkles and icing. SUGAR OVERLOAD but they were good! We didn't get much attention after that. I had to chase our waitress down and ask for a to-go box and for our check. (Again, not necessarily her fault if they were short staffed) then also to get outlet check. I used a card and no staff was able to find a pen for me to sign the receipt with so she had to go to the back to get one. The service was very poorly. It took about 25minutes for the food. The food was good. The environment was okay.

We recently placed a weekend to-go order in December. Even though we had set a pick-up time, we had to wait 10-15 minutes before the order was bagged. Upon arriving home, we realized that there were a number of issues with our order. There was no toast or avocado with the Southwest Scramble. There were no red candy hearts or green whipped topping on the Grinch's Green Pancakes. These were missing from the Young Grinch Minty Hot Chocolate as well, plus there was a noticeable lack of mint syrup. I submitted this report on the IHOP website and received a response a few days later from the District Manager. She apologized and informed me that she would send coupons for a couple free meals. After one month, I followed up for an ETA. One week later, I still have not received a response. Given all the mistakes in ordering and the lack of follow-through, I don't think we would order here again. read more

I ate here on Sunday for the first time. I had a coupon for a free stack of pancakes for my birthday. I wanted to dine in as I was also planning on doing some birthday/Christmas shopping at the mall across the street. EXPERIENCE: There was a wait as I had arrived around 10:45am. This was expected and my wait was less than 10 minutes. I was seated at a booth and my waiter arrived. I told him about the coupon and asked which pancakes I could order. He said ANY! I went ahead and ordered the Cinnastax! They are apparently seasonal and I was able to order them as part of the special. I was a bit disappointed the IHOP no longer serves some specialty coffee beverages (caramel latte, etc). They do however have hot chocolate. I went ahead and ordered that. The waiter was really prompt with bringing me the hot chocolate which looks exactly how their latte used to be. It did taste like swissmiss powdered hot chocolate though. The pancakes did take about 20 minutes to come out, but I wasn't in a hurry and they were a bit busy. When they did arrive, the pancakes were absolutely delicious! These are probably my favorite pancakes to order at IHOP outside of the regular buttermilk. The waiter was sweet enough to also comp my hot chocolate so my bill was $0. However, I needed to tip him so he ended up charging me for the hot chocolate so that I could leave a tip on my credit card. (This was perfectly fine as it was the only reason I ordered it so I could tip). COVID: Everyone in the restaurant was wearing masks and customers were wearing them while waiting to be seated or waiting to eat. A few of the customers were not wearing masks properly (under their nose). The customers were spaced enough for social distancing. I was surprised that customers were sitting in booths right next to each other (not spaced every other booth as I've seen at other restaurants). I think the seats at the booths are really tall, so maybe it is safe? Overall, I felt safe while eating and my waiter was great! read more

As chains go, IHOP falls squarely in the greasy spoon category along with Waffle House and Bob Evans. You go for breakfast. Why in god's name would you eat a BLT at IHOP? Just....pswah. This IHOP was fine, Absolutely fine. The veggie omlet was tasty and hot, the hashbrowns were crispy. I was a little disappointed in my pancake-it was a little too gooey. The waitstaff on this particular day seemed overwhelmed, maybe shortstaffed and a little frazzled. We waited an eternity for our food and I did have to go up and request more hot water for tea. Overall, it is a decent brunch and the price is right. You will not leave hungry and 85 percent of the time you leave satisfied. read more

To quote Gaffigan, it should be named, "I-barely move". Never been a big fan of IHOP, but ventured here after church on Sunday...along with everyone else in the tri-state. The lobby was totally packed, so we were surprised when we were quoted only 20 minutes for a wait. The place is big and the employees work quickly, but unlike other places, 20 minutes = 20 minutes not 5-10. So we really did wait the full 20. Food is tasty. I had strawberry banana french toast despite the moniker of "house of pancakes". They were a bit cheaper and I like french toast better, so I went with it. I guess I've just never been impressed with the pancakes here. I feel like they should have a crazier and wider variety of pancakes if you're going to be called by such a name. I did really enjoy the design of the syrups: butter pecan, strawberry, old fashioned and blueberry. Despite the awesomeness of that availability, I didn't bother with them. The french toast was pretty good without it and I had no trouble eating the whole thing. My date got a sandwich that was basically an omelet on toast. It was pretty tasty as well. I always wonder why it's so hard to find a $4 meal with less calories at this place. I don't need more than two pancakes, but the options are limited if you want less than four, so the prices are more like $6-8 for just about everything. read more

The IHOP I'm reviewing is on Colerain Ave next door to Panera Bread. Now normally I love IHOP. I love that they just bring you a carafe of coffee so you can drink what you want. The food is typically pretty good, what's not to like right? We stopped at an in between time (like 4:30 pm). The place was a ghost town, empty seats as far as the eye could see. So the fact it took 3 people and 5 mins to figure out where to seat 5 adults, 2 toddlers and an infant should of been a tip off. Then when we got to the table we realized they shorted us a chair. No big deal really... The meal went downhill from there. We had to ask 3 times for creamer for our coffee. And when we FINALLY got our food of course it was cold. Except of course the 3 year old's which was molten hot. The service was super slow. Maybe we got there during everyone's break? When I turned around while leaving, I realized the table behind us was full of dirty dishes, nobody sat there the entire time we were there!!! I believe it is in IHOPs training manual to give terrible service. I have been to so so many and only one time (down south) where it was great service. I get that most times I decide on IHOP it's at night time but that's when you would think you get great service. They have literally nothing better to do than wait on my table because I'm one of six people in the entire restaurant. I order the french toast with vanilla cream and it would be great if the french toast was served warm. I don't understand how it can always be cold and take forty minutes. I always try to give it another chance every few months and then regret it when it takes 12 minutes to even get a water to my table. read more

I came here for breakfast with my friend before work and it was already somewhat​ busy. It took no time for us to be seated, our waitress was somewhat nice, but we could tell that she was flustered with the amount of people that were sitting in her section. She came and took our order fairly fast which was nice, only downfall was that we waited a really long time to get our food. It took probably​ about 30 minutes for us to get our food, and all we had ordered was some pancakes and an omelet. Which honestly shouldn't​​ take 30 minutes to make. When the food did come to us, it was borderline​ cold. Which made us mad, at this point we didn't​ have enough time to send it back because​ we were on a time crunch with work that we could​nt wait another 30 minutes to get fresh food, so we just chalked it up and ate it, But All i can say is that this is one IHOP that I will not be coming back too. read more

My husband loves IHOP although I think there are way better places to eat breakfast! On this visit we were seated right away and our server was nice. I got French toast, bacon and 2 eggs over easy. The French toast was decent. I like mine with a little more crunch but it was good. The bacon was extra crispy like I asked and the eggs were cooked perfectly! My husband got pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. He was happy, which I expected. It was Saturday around 11:30am so the restaurant was busy and there were so many kids crying and running around which was loud and distracting. It's decently priced and if you don't have too high of expectations you'll probably enjoy this. My husband loves it which means I suck it up and go to make him happy. Ugh, beyond disappointing. I wish I could have more positive things to say but I can't. My mother always taught me that if you can't say something nice than don't say anything at all. But she also said "good food is a good mood". And this wasn't a good mood visit. My family of 4 showed up around 9am on a Monday morning there were probably 10 cars in the parking lot, about average for the few times I have been to this location. Walk in and there is a line of servers waiting for tables. We are given to the first server in line, she takes us all the way to the very very back. We pass dozens of empty tables and finally we reach a room that looks like a conference room with some tables. We are all by ourselves in this large empty room. We order, or atleast try to. My 10 year old wanted to try one of the seasonal menu items, well we don't know what they are because there is no seasonal menu, table topper or anything in the room as far as advertisement to decide. So we have to pull out our phones and look them up on the Internet. Nice. As I am ordering, I believe it was called the "big 2 egg breakfast" because I'm sharing with my two year old, our server informs me that's no longer available. Even though it's listed right on the menu. 2 eggs, hash browns, bacon and 2 pancakes aren't available? Okay.... So I end up ordering something else but very similar just with more meats. And I ask for my eggs over hard because I can't stand runny eggs. Still no one in this room. Food comes out, by the looks of everything it all looks good except my eggs look more on the over easy side. Before I could say anything she turned around an left. 5 minutes go by, thinking she is going to stop by and check on us and still nothing. I cut into one of the eggs, not only are the yolks not cooked trough, but the egg whites are still clear. I don't know why I even ask anymore for my eggs to be cooked one way because no one seems to know what "over hard" means. Maybe I will have to start being pictures. Either way, I can't eat these and still no server, drinks are empty. FINALLY! She comes back sets the check down and says "k here you go". Didn't ask about food or the uncooked, uneaten eggs, didn't offer refills. We left not with the "good food is a good mood" state of mind. Totally bummed about this, still am. It took us 15 minutes to be seated (there was NO ONE there, so it wasn't because it was busy), then we got seated and waited 20 minutes and still No one acknowledged us... We ended up just getting up and leaving. So much for my pancake craving. Honestly, we won't ever even try to go back to this location again, which is a bummer because it's right by our house. Then you get sat and have to wait longer for a server. Then your server takes forever to get your drinks... I don't know why we ever bother coming back to this location. I dont even want to give this 1 star. My friend and I waited forever for our food id say an hour when passed we got it it was all cold. We couldnt understand our server ( he wasnt foreign just talked too low and mumbled) and the manager kept walking by our table limping? and never once acknowledge if our food was good or if she could do anything for us during the time we sat there with nothing in front of us.. Im not sure how this woman got hired as a manger she was really poor, We kept seeing employees looking out the kitchen door and walking out from the kitchen standing around doing nothing. We didst get that one. Overall, it was one of the WORST experiences in a restaurant i have had in a very long time. I hope corporate see this. Stopped in for Free pancakes on National Pancake day. Ordered two eggs , hash browns and my free stack of three pancakes. Ordered a coke was told they had Pepsi, which was fine. Waiter brought a diet Pepsi. Wife did not have a fork in her silverware bundle. I asked for extra butter from separate waitress who brought our food out. The butter never arrived even after asking our waiter to check on it. Service always seems to be bad here no matter when we go. Only our fourth visit here. IHOP has a good menu, but this location is in serious need of more staff. Totally understand that many restaurants are in the same situation, but be prepared for very slow service (at best) and possibly a server who has no clue (unfortunately that was our experience). We were there on veterans day to enjoy the Veteran's special and they were pretty busy. Wait was over 30 minutes for a table (probably because they weren't filling all their tables since they didn't have enough servers). Our server (we think) may not have been a regular and no one had provided her with information about the job I guess. My husband ordered the Veterans special and she said she didn't know anything about it....in spite of the many signs on the walls with pictures and advertising for it. I ordered one of the specialty pancakes, so it wasn't a difficult order. It took another half hour to get food and when it came, my order was totally wrong (wrong size, wrong kind of pancakes). Server argued that was what I had ordered and I finally said "fine". Another server tried to remedy by bringing me the right size order, but still the wrong typel I think all of the pancakes had been prepared ahead that day since they were not tender and fluffy...but rather tough and chewy. Casey reminds me of an almost identical experience at this same IHOP a month or so ago. Hubby and I spent something like an hour and a half in an almost deserted restaurant, and were served crappy, cold food for our trouble. We could never find our server, and she never dropped off the check before finally disappearing completely. We headed up front toward the register, where we were cheerily told bye and have a nice day by another employee. Good thing we're more honest than smart, it was really tempting to walk the check. My husband and I went here for breakfast. During the wait we noticed a broom and dust pan lying on the floor beside the tall table in the middle of the room. Clearly a safety hazard. Several employees stepped over it but not one picked it up. I finally asked our server about it and she moved it. Later a server dropped a jelly packet on the floor and someone stepped on it and it broke open and jelly all over the floor. My husband and I watched to see how many servers would walk over it. Finally after many did and one senior citizen almost stepped in it I went over and cleaned the mess up with my napkin. I proceeded to show the manger the mess and gave it to him and asked if they were safety conscious at all. This place is going downhill fast. read more
