After my Celiac disease diagnosis required me to transition to a strict gluten-free diet, finding safe, enjoyable places for local outings felt daunting--our beloved craft brewery visits were suddenly a thing of the past. We were searching for a new place to call our go-to spot, and acting on a friend's recommendation to check out Cooper's Hawk and join the Wine Club turned out to be the best decision we could have made. It was the first time since my diagnosis that I could enjoy a starter bread at a restaurant, and having access to such an extensive, thoughtful gluten-free menu has brought so much joy back into dining out. What started as an early Christmas gift from my husband quickly became our home away from home. After attending the new member welcome event in January, we signed up for our first monthly Wine Club dinner in February 2026--and we haven't missed a single one since! This was our second date night at Cooper's Hawk and they are batting 1,000 so far. Service was excellent throughout the meal; McKenzie was very pleasant and attentive. I tried another wine tonight and found yet another favorite - Les Petites. If you enjoy a full-bodied red, I highly recommend it. I had the blackened ahi from the lighter menu and my date had the filet mignon. Both proteins were cooked beautifully. I have to mention that there was an issue with my entree when it first came out, but the manager and her team went above and beyond to make it right. The appetizer was decent but not my favorite thing we tried. My favorite wine was the Raspberry and Scarletto. Both are on the sweeter side. Mimi, our server, was super nice and helpful throughout the night. She made the experience better simply by being our server. I had the breakfast sandwich and it was really good!!! ...... however I hate fingerling potatoes.... And unfortunately, that is the only potato option they offer so I asked if I could get a side of fruit instead and they brought me that since I did not care for my potatoes, which was really nice service was fast and friendly and it wasn't too busy for being breakfast, which was nice. also tried the breakfast hash, which I enjoyed as well. I had a great solo experience. The Southwest Chicken Egg Rolls were really good, crispy on the outside with a flavorful, filling that which make them a solid appetizer choice. The coleslaw on the side had good flavor, but it could've used a little more liquid or sauce to make it a bit more moist and balanced. I also tried the new "Lavender Bee's Knees," and it was really good! Light, refreshing, and perfectly crafted. I definitely recommend giving it a try because it's seasonal. Considering the grand opening to the public was a few days ago- it was a great visit! Everything went smoothly from the hostess desk to dining to the tasting room. The parking lot is large- which will be a great asset during peak hours. The restaurant exterior has a fresh design that is different from the other Cincinnati area locations. As we entered we were greeted promptly. The wine tasting area is up front as with other locations. The interior is a mix of modern American. We ordered salmon and the Napa salad. Our waitress was amiable and also knowledgeable. Put food arrived in a timely manner and was yummy. Afterwards we stopped for wine sampling. The tasting room staff were excellent-. Matthew, our tasting room attendant, was warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable. He made the experience enjoyable. read more

I've been to this Cooper's Hawk several times and every time I've gone, it's been extremely busy whether it's during the week or on the weekend. It's a newer Cooper's Hawk, but the décor and ambiance are on par with every Cooper's Hawk that I've been to. It has a simple and elegant décor paired with a lively atmosphere. The service has always been good. The food has been a hit-or-miss. The majority of what I've ordered has been good but there hasn't been a dish that I want to keep coming back for. On one such occasion,, my order was all messed up and it came out super late. Our server QeTurah informed her supervisor Brett of the issues without me even asking. Brett wa's so kind and accommodating. He was very apologetic and without even asking he made concessions and gave me my meal free. I enjoy coming to this Cooper's Hawk with friends and loved ones for the wine tastings (They do have some good wines) and the exceptional service. Their limit editions and summer blends are a real treat. If you want to get together with friends and family in a lively and friendly environment, this should be on your list. read more

Recently went for anniversary and had a reservation. We didn't get seated until a half hour after the reservation, which was supposed to be outside. We didn't get seated outside and it took almost 2 hours for our food. What we ate was really good, but the portions were small and we left hungry. New Year's Eve it was busy and much understood. Service was good, our server was rushing around but made time to discuss wine choices. She did a good job. The pretzel bread was good, chopped salad was average and the lettuce wrap had a good taste but the lettuce leaves were small. Now the entrees, I had the chef special surf and turf. The lobster was small and there were two medallion steaks. I asked for medium and they came out over cooked and dry. My wife had the spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce was dried out so our food sat. When we pulled in, I fell in love with the building. The inside is very open, and inviting. We did a wine tasting and Lisa was amazing! Very accommodating and helpful. I love the set up of the tasting room. Very classy and spacious. I love how they have the wines and accessories set up. We made reservations and had to wait 5 minutes to be seated. They were slammed but our server was attentive. The dining area is very open! Love it! I ordered the trios medallions steak (cooked medium) and my Mr. ordered the filet mignon. We waited probably 20 minutes. Worth the wait. Our steaks were amazing! We paired it with a bottle of the Curtis Stone red wine. So good! I can say that we are huge fans of Coopers Hawk. The new place is beautiful and has ample parking. I came for both a "wine o clock happy hour" on Friday and dinner on Saturday. The food was amazing for both visits! The wine o'clock happy hour deals are great (Mon-Fri 3:00-5:30) Highly recommend. Since it is opening weekend- I wasn't sure what to expect. Service was slow both Friday and Saturday. My son and daughter-in-law took us here for a special night with them. I had the best cocktail I'd ever had. First, you have to know that I am a peanut butter fiend, and they make a cocktail version of peanut butter and jelly. Probably my newest favorite! You can't imagine how great it is until you try it. I really like the look of the building, it's like a modern barn design, and pretty spacious inside. The tasting room in front is bigger than the ones in West Chester and Dayton. The bar area is bigger too and the dining area more open. My lady and I started with a wine tasting. Lisa, our attendant, was absolutely great. Very friendly, very welcoming, and pretty knowledgeable, and I'm a level 1 wine sommelier saying that. The dining area gets very busy so I'd recommend making a reservation if you're going soon. We made one for 7:30pm because it was the soonest we could get. Brandon, our server, was great too. We decided to go big and get some steaks for dinner, my lady ordered the trio of medallions (all Parmesan crust), and I got the filet mignon. Being busy, we did wait a little bit, but not super long, and everything was as good as we've always had at a Cooper's Hawk. They truly know how to prepare a filet mignon and for a great price. Yeah, it was a bit of a drive to get here, but I would consider going again for sure. Can't say I've ever had a single bad experience at a Cooper's Hawk. read more

We arrived at 5:30 on a Saturday evening, and our party of 11 were seated outside, which was great since we didn't have to compete with the inside conversations. Our entree orders went in about 6 pm; however we did not see any of our entrees till nearly 7:20. They were not complicated: burgers, fish, chicken. We were given our appetizer in timely manner, the the main courses were disappointingly slow in arriving. The food was alright when it finally arrived, although the potatoes looked like they had been sitting for a while. Decided on a date night at this new location. We were seated promptly, but there's not a lot of room to wait in the lobby and people crowded around the bar inside the front door take up a lot of room. First impressions after being seated. The dining room is huge and ridiculously loud. It's almost impossible to have a conversation at normal speaking volume. It's also kind of dim for reading a menu. Our waitress, Ciera, was great. We ordered drinks and wine to try. The wine took a long time to come out. The wines we tried were good. We joined the wine club. Our food, when we finally got it, was fantastic. I was very pleasantly surprised by how good the jambalaya was. The presentation and freshness were very good. My wife really enjoyed her steak and mashed potatoes. I've been a fan of Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant for many years. Was happy when I heard they were opening a location closer to me in Dent. We've been there 3 times now and my last experience has made me consider just driving back to Kenwood. My wife has a complicated food situation because of an autoimmune condition. Most higher end restaurants, which I consider Cooper's Hawk to be, are happy to accommodate her need to avoid nightshades and dairy. Our waiter took the order and came back to let us know the chef said they normally don't allow substitutions on the seasonal menu, but they would make the dish as she had ordered it. We were appreciative of the extra effort and went about enjoying our wine and conversation with our friends. When our meals arrived my wife's dish was not as ordered, it was exactly as described on the menu. Now everyone has a meal except my wife. This is not the way to enjoy an evening out with friends. If this was the only issue I've had at this location I would probably not be as critical, but each time we have visited this location something is off-putting. Comping the meal and giving us free wine doesn't make up for ruining an evening out, because the kitchen can't make sure meals are safe for their customers. Management at this location needs to get people who want to represent Cooper's Hawk brand. I realize this is a new location, so I will go back because I know a certain standard needs to be kept and I hope the kitchen will do better. read more

We've visited twice now. The first time, my chicken wasn't fully cooked which was gag worthy. The server was extremely kind and made steps to take care of the problem. It doesn't matter how great the service is if the food isn't great. We went back today and both the food and service were mediocre at best. The whole experience was disappointing. My third time here since it opened. The times I went were between 3:00 and 4:00 on weekdays. All 3 times I ordered off the happy hour menu since the regular menu is pricey. The happy hour flight is definitely worth it. The main dining room is like a warehouse - it's all open and as it gets more crowded, it gets noisier. I couldn't even hear the people at my table talking. When I left, I did the wine tasting and it was crowded. The second time I went, I sat in the bar area and it was quieter. The third time I went (May 19), they didn't have my reservation, which I made twice (once for 2 people then again adding 2 more people) but we were seated quickly. We waited 90 minutes for our food to come out, asking our waitress a few times and even a manager. There really was no coherent excuse - especially for 2 appetizers, soup, a sandwich, and a salad. read more
