I've been here a few times and the food is consistent. The servers are friendly and warm. I love their omelets, coffee, and pancakes.

Food was good, service was too. Restaurant a bit small compared to a regular IHOP so there was a 20 minute wait. Will definitely return.

The food is decent not too bad. The service however was kind of slow. My eggs were cold when i got them. Everything else was good though.

It had popped up on my feed a few…read moretimes over the past year and immediately made my San Antonio list for the next time I was in town. The Morning Wrecker is basically all of my favorite breakfast foods stacked into one massive sandwich. A perfectly cooked chicken fried steak, crispy hashbrowns, and two over easy eggs sandwiched between a fluffy cat head sized biscuit before being smothered in savory sausage gravy and topped with shredded cheddar cheese. It's definitely a gluttonous meal, but I split it with my buddy and it was absolutely worth the calories and carbs. Every bite delivered exactly what I was hoping for. It's worth stopping by Bobbie's Southern Kitchen for the Morning Wrecker alone, but everything coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. The service was great and it has that bustling diner feel.

Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures because the experience was disappointing from the moment…read moreour food arrived. My husband and I had been trying to eat at Bobby's Southern Kitchen for at least 2-3 years. Every time we'd stopped before, the wait was around 2 1/2 hours, and since we were always passing through on our way home to Houston, we never had enough time to stay. This time, we planned our morning around finally getting to eat here. We had spent the weekend in San Antonio and were driving to Dallas before heading home, so we made a point of arriving shortly after opening (a little after 8:00 a.m.). There was no wait, we were seated immediately, and our waitress was wonderful. I wish I could remember her name because she was friendly, attentive, and did everything she could. Our food came out quickly, probably within 15 minutes, but that's where things went downhill. The food wasn't hot. Mine was warm enough to eat, but my husband's breakfast was actually cold. His hash browns were cold, his sausage patties were cold, and since he's someone who really enjoys his food served hot, it immediately ruined the meal for him. We let our waitress know, and she came back to take only the hash browns from his plate. That surprised us because most restaurants would prepare a fresh order rather than reheating part of the original meal. When the hash browns came back, they still weren't hot enough, so unfortunately they didn't solve the problem. For me, the food itself actually had good flavor. I ordered the sausage biscuit with soft scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and a side of grits. The biscuit was good, the eggs were cooked just the way I like them, and the grits were honestly one of the best parts of the meal. They were creamy, had a great consistency, and were well-seasoned with really good flavor. If everything had been served hotter, I honestly think I would have loved my breakfast. My husband ordered a simple breakfast with eggs over medium, toast, sausage patties, and hash browns. I don't necessarily think the food itself was bad I think serving it cold completely changed his experience. What makes this especially disappointing is that we arrived shortly after opening, so we expected everything to be fresh and piping hot. I honestly don't know what happened that morning, but after waiting years to finally try Bobby's, it just didn't live up to the anticipation. The service was excellent, the food had good flavor, and I truly wanted to love this place. I just can't overlook being served a breakfast that wasn't hot, especially first thing in the morning. I hope this was just an off day because I'd like to believe our experience wasn't the norm.

Everyone was kind and friendly (except for the hostess downstairs who was rather dismissive). Sat upstairs for dinner on a Sunday in the beautiful front sunroom. The entire second floor is gorgeous and feels elevated compared to the first floor. To start off they serve you bread with a pickled jalapeno cream cheese dip which was the chef (owner?) mother's recipe. So good. I had the lamb chops which were devine. The scalloped potatoes, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, and creamed spinach are all musts. Cocktails and wine all top notch! GO!

I had tried to talk group into going to the palm, but they had never been to bohanans. Our first experience was mind blowing. Roses to the table Steak prevention,Roses in sinks in restroom. The experience of greatness. We had a great serving team The steaks were cooked right. However super thin. Bake potatos were like any other place. ( I had ordered one on my first visit- was mind blowing- large potato, with lattice bacon slices piled high). All in all an okay meal, I would put it next to a family affordable steakhouse, not an upscale.

I'm a sucker for local "click bait 'best of'" lists...I can only assume that's where I found out about it. Driving by, it's got that hole in the wall, run down look. Ordinarily , that doesn't bother me, but seeing it in person ...I must admit I probably wouldn't normally go. But come on! How can you resist the large banner or front reading, " Home of the original jalapeño chicken fried steak". So, in I went to eat with friends. The place, despite the outside, is as homey inside as I can remember anyplace being. Every single person there was as nice as could be and service was exceptional. Love the old school diner vibe! Yep, I tried the jalapeño chicken fried steak and it was phenomenal. Not too spicy, just the right amount of jalapeño. I found it just the right size for the cost, too. Borderline disappointed in the mash potatoes. They could have been hotter and they had that -end of the batch - taste and feel. Overall, not a huge fan of the bathrooms being outside, but that's part of the charm, maybe? Don't let the four stars fool you, because if this joint was more convenient, I'd definitely be going again.

It was a very busy day, full of traffic so we arrived a few minutes past our initial reservation (they give a 15 minutes grace period). I was relieved that Valet was included when you dine here so that took a lot of the headache of finding parking in downtown San Antonio. Service and Food: Our service and the food was swift and taken with great care. Our server was fantastic and really did a great job helping us figure out what to order for someone who was dining here for the first time. Our waiter even recommended my father who is peculiar about his steak (liked it rare, but the outside to be crispy) to order his steak Pittsburg Style which he ended up loving. My waiter was even kind enough to hand craft me my own Sangria when I noticed it wasn't on the menu. The food was absolutely amazing but overall I think our waiters great service really made our evening enjoyable. Im unsure if this was intentional but we noticed the staff was always considerate in making sure the ladies orders were taken first and served first before the men. It was a thoughtful gesture which was appreciated. Additionally the manager checked on each guest which was also nice to see. Overall, it was nice to see my family enjoy their dinner together. I would recommend Ruths to anyone who wants to celebrate a special occasion or just have a nice evening out in downtown San Antonio.

Looking back, we probably should have expected that the "fusion" aspect just wasn't going to be for us. I ordered the Gogi Combo Bowl with both BBQ beef and chicken. Instead of tasting like Korean BBQ, it tasted much more like teriyaki. Unfortunately, both the beef and chicken were very overcooked, making the texture dry and unpleasant. The cucumber kimchi was also disappointing. It had so much cilantro that it completely overpowered the dish. It didn't taste like kimchi at all. My husband couldn't even finish his meal, and we ended up throwing away all of our leftovers, which is something we rarely do. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars instead of lower is because the restaurant itself was fairly clean and the staff was pleasant. Unfortunately, the food just wasn't for us, and I wouldn't return or recommend it based on our experience.
