This is an older not well kept up IHOP. There is a sewer smell near the bath rooms and the women's bathroom has a wet dog smell. The kitchen is filthy. Dirt and dust hanging from the air vents. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews first. The restaurant itself was very nice. The waitress forgot our straws. She came back twice to verify parts of our order. There was no gravy on the mashed potatoes and the salad came half way through the meal. I order an omelette that was probably cooked first because it was cold. The service here was laughable! That's all we could do because if we didn't laugh about it we may have yelled about it. Yes we had a party of ten BUT there is nothing about breakfast food that takes that long. 2 1/2 hr meal w/ 4 warn out parents & 6 hungry kids. We stopped here after a fun week & long rainy drive from Dauphin Island AL. It had already been a long day, up early to pack, long drive, lots of rain, we had already had to move rooms at the hotel due to a leak in the ceiling, we had almost ended the night on a high note w/ a Spectacular Fireworks show over the Cane River & then this Looooooong meal reversed that. As a customer, I can only speak to the service of the current night shift staff and manager. There are a multitude of problems with this restaurant and it's staff. I will list them in dash form, excuse the anger. - FIRST of all, the service is an unmatched with unproductively. Management is not good with customers and servers are poorly trained. - A popular item at this IHOP what's the the all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast. This was something that a multitude of people asked for and our food was an HOUR late. Orders came out wrong and one table waited 30 MINUTES to just get drinks. When customers became apprehensive about the TERRIBLE SERVICE, management began threatening to call the police instead of listening to customers. -It was not a situation that those who were unable to provide adequate basic service or producing seemingly easy dishes like eggs. The PROBLEM was when people in the kitchen were just standing around after someone had to continue to talk about the poor service, and the kitchen took no action to the point of someone having to raise their voice to get any attention. We are all respectful people and this service was SIMPLY terrible, inadequate, indecent and paralleled nothing of a restaurant that runs with any decency. We are completely disdained and disgusted at this excuse of a restaurant and It employees which simply were unable to respond to any request until someone screamed. Stood at the front for 5-6 minutes then a busboy seated us. We sat at the table for 15 minutes while the waitress walked past us 3 times and never said a word. Showed up at 9:50. Was seated and served by 10:00. Table was clean, food was fresh and tasty. Service was awesome. Best IHOP I've visited.

No wait; we were seated promptly, beverage orders were taken right away, brought to the table and our orders were taken.......all in under 10 minutes. We each had omlettes, spinach and mushroom and a cheese omelette. Both omlettes were quite good. The hollandaise sauce on the spinach omlette was great. As a side item, we got a short stack of the fluffiest pancakes. Everything was good. We were in and out in 40 minutes. read more

Should have listened to the other reviews! we love IHOP and the kids had their heart set on it...it's our traditional breakfast stop on the way to our vacation destination! But this morning was a huge disappointment! My egg whites where brown....can't even compare it to anything I've ever eaten! The restrooms were absolutely disgusting, it felt dirty just walking in the front door! After 30 minutes of waiting I asked about order being read. The food came out cold with the exception of two eggs on one plate. One plate had eggs cooked incorrect and were sent back to kitchen; the second time of receding them they were still cooked incorrectly. I explained to the waitress I knew it was not her fault but the order was still wrong and the food was cold. Since the eggs were still wrong I asked her to adjust the bill. I heard her telling the kitchen (in which she stated earlier the manager was cooking because a cook didn't show up). We got the bill and no adjustment was made; nor did the manager come to the table. Walked in for breakfast, restaurant was relatively slow, not many guest. Stood at the counter waiting to be seated. Two waitresses came up to the counter neither one spoke to or acknowledged me, they were arguing over who was waiting on which table!! REALLY!! Why is "1" mandatory. I downloaded YELP specifically to review this IHOP. I travel a lot, and often eat at IHOP with my family. This was by far the WORST experience we've ever had. I don't know why we didn't heed the warnings of the people leaving as we entered. Nomally, I expect just OK service at any IHOP, but this one was by far the WORST experience ever. We stopped in on the way to New Orleans, as there is not much else to eat off 49 in the middle of nowhere, LA. When we walked in, there were 3 families in front of us. The hostess told us it would be a 45 minute wait. Looking around, I thought surely not, so we decided to wait it out. One elderly couple came in after us and the hostess told them that even though they had a table for 2 ready, they could not seat them because the parties ahead of them were large, and that would look bad. :/ After about 20 minutes they sat us in a room in the back along with the other 4 tables that were waiting with us. Each table had a different server. We all ordered roughly at the same time. The first server brought her table their food, which was completely wrong. One ordered no eggs, the other ordered bacon instead of sausage...you get the idea. The second table received their food. One ordered pancakes but was brought waffles, one ordered sausage but not bacon. Their waitress told the patrons to pick the food up with their fingers and scoot it off onto another plate, as it would take too long to get the cook to make another. The third table received their meals all wrong. Instead of the waitress fixing the wrong items, she snapped at the customer and told them they needed to just move the wrong food off their plates onto the table. I was looking around wondering if I was being punk'd. So I thought for sure my food was going to be wrong too. Oddly enough, my order was right, but my eggs were cold. My husband ordered crepes and they had no eggs in them at all. When another waitress came by we joked with her about all the tables getting wrong food. She leaned her head to the side and in a raised voice said "aw you gonna do me like that!?" We decided to eat what we could and get the heck out. Good luck to anyone attempting this place. read more

The service was the worst we have ever experienced. We waited over 30 minutes and NEVER were we even acknowledged. Our server walked past us many times to serve a group of 8 sitting near us. Never asking for OUR order. Another group of 6 were seated next to us and immediately she took their drink orders. We walked out. Never will we visit this I HOP again. Definitely DO NOT recommend stopping here. We were about to walk out after standing and waiting to be seated for over five minutes without even being acknowledged. Just as we were turning to leave, someone finally came and seated us... We should have left. Service was extremely slow. The waitress asked if we wanted colors and a coloring page, we said yes and after waiting about 15 minutes or so, we reminded her. She said that she was the only waitress and only had one cook. The manager appeared at one point and stopped and visited with someone she apparently knew at one of the tables and then went outside and sat and talked with someone in a vehicle. She was still outside talking with them when we left. My grandsons pancakes were cold and hard. Our grilled sandwiches took well over 30 minutes. Well let's see...Terry the manager was one of the rudest I've seen when it comes to treating staff with respect. I saw her talk to a few servers like they were dumber than rocks for no reason and then my food came out wrong...no big deal just redo it right....not...she had the nerve to tell me that was how I ordered it....uh I'm pretty sure I know how I ordered my food. I also noticed that the restaurant was half empty with servers standing around with nothing to do while some lady in the kitchen that sounded a lot like the manager screaming hold the door...don't sit anyone else. There was the same amount of business when I got my food as there was when I placed my togo order for my wife yet a short stack and two over medium eggs togo took an hour. When I asked for the manager she came out in a chef style shirt so I assume she was working in the kitchen by this point....makes u wonder is she the reason my food took that long? she was not in the kitchen when I got my order and my food took only 20 minutes with a remake. Guess that just goes to show some ppl should not have authority over a business if they've never done the work. Renea was my server and she was awesome. She did everything she could to fix terry's mistakes and to make up for the rude attitude that Terry had. Food was decent and the server was excellent. They just need to get rid of that rude b-word excuse for a manager if they want me or many other people I've talked to to come back. I wish I had the regional managers email so I could let them know just how disrespect the manager really was.
