This combo of the praline sauce and the whipped cream with the crunchy but soft waffles was absolutely amazing. Visited Le Bistreaux for a quality breakfast while my car was being serviced at Walker Automotive. When I walked in I was greeted with a warm welcome from the staff and the customers. I ordered an americano to drink and got the Big Breakfast combo. The food came out very quickly and the layout on the plate was picture perfect. The eggs were cheesy and fluffy as well as the 4 Belgium style waffle triangles. The combo came with a lot of protein so it left me full and energized. I sat a little while longer to finish my coffee in the comfortable chair located by the window. My only complaint was a self error, I wanted my bacon softer but even extra crispy the bacon was amazing. Stopped in this morning and got an eggs Benedict and avocado toast with salmon and creamy balsamic. It took about 20 minutes from ordering to get our food, which felt like a pretty long time. The eggs benedict was cold, and the hollandaise was pretty thin/watered down. The biscuits looked like waffles, which was cute, but that's about it. The rest was pretty meh. The avocado toast was better, but also meh. The "creamy balsamic" is just a glaze (there's no cream?) and there wasn't enough of it on the toast. Overall, fine. Coming from out of town, I was looking forward to trying this place. The food was tasty and we enjoyed the quality. But the amount of discrepancy between menu pricing and total at ring-up took away from the experience. You order at the front with the clerk via tablet. Which is great, but if you don't know the price variations - and have to ask on each item what it rings up as to confirm you want it (with a Sunday post-church crowd level of folks in line behind you). It really takes away from the customer experience. I saw the heads up from the sticker on the menu mentioning "fluctuations" and subject to change (so I was already expecting a price difference), and I held up the line to ask about the current pricing of the more specialty items - Crab Cake Benedict (delicious!) and the Scrambler. I figured a price difference would have been felt more on those types of dishes. Thankfully not and those were the same price as the menu. So I completed my order, balking to myself at the difference in the total from the rough math in my head, but I was distracted by my own kiddos and went to our table. Guess I should have held up the line longer and specifically asked the pricing on the waffles. Even with expecting a price difference, I wasn't expecting an increase of about $3/waffle difference - in our case, $11.25 for the French Toast waffle versus the $8.50 quoted on the menu; and $9.25 for Chocolate Waffle versus the $7.00 on the menu. I went up to the counter and I'm assuming she already knew what I was going to say, because the clerk answered "yes, the owners haven't updated the prices on the menu." I'm sitting at the table at this point and going through the reviews of the restaurant and seeing the same issue posted from years ago. Just update the menu already! Or if the changes are frequent, make a QR code and electronic menu or a chalkboard menu. If anything, keeping it as-is causes poor customer experience, and unnecessary friction between customers and staff. read more

You go up to the counter and place your order and they'll bring it to your table. Everything was amazing. Our only regret is that we were only able to visit one Update March 2020: I called to inquiry where they purchased their coffee from because the Texas pecan was phenomenal. This is a small cafe with lots of food options. The food was okay as it didn't have a outstanding taste. The temp of the food was appropriate. However, my visit was disturbed when I noticed my receipt and noticed the prices listed on the menu did not match. The prices were off for less than a dollar but they were still off. The cafe has a delightful menu with options for cold or hot drinks. But as previously mentioned my visit was disturbed with in correct prices on the menu and I was not informed of the increase as the menu states differently. The magic Yelp suggested breakfast here, so we went. I was kind of hard to find as the sign is not easy to read from the road. It is in the strip mall next to the Chevy dealer. The counter staff was quite friendly and offered a few suggestions since this was our first time. I went with the Crab Cake Benedict and the Vanilla Bean X4 Sampler and the suggested coffee was Pecan Praline. As I was enjoying the heavenly aroma and taste of my coffee, the sampler arrived! Four mini vanilla bean waffles topped with a variety of toppings! All so very delicious, light, fluffy and artistic! (My favorite was the Blueberries!) Then the most amazing eggs Benedict ever arrived! The foundation was a mini waffle with next layer of moist and tender crab cake topped with an over easy egg and then smothered in Hollandaise sauce! I went there to get breakfast and stood for what seemed forever with no instruction that you seat yourself. So I finally sat myself. Then these people came in after I had been sitting 30 minutes waiting on my food and told me I needed to move to the bar by the window since I was dining alone so they would have a place to sit.
