I bought a mirrored medicine cabinet from Ikea that was moderately easy to put together, but properly fixing it to a wall was merely impossible for us. I consider my Mom to be like a female Mike Holmes on Holmes. We tried three separate times to install using self tapping screws, mounts etc. After having this large storage unit fall on my head off the wall, and a looming housewarming party the following day I knew we needed to call in backup. I found Ikea mans website and appreciated the witty website. I called Ivan and explained my situation and that I needed someone to come within 24 hours (on a Saturday!) and he said it could easily be arranged. John arrived early and said he could wait till our scheduled time or get started right away. He was very polite and friendly. He completed the installation in under 20 minutes and offered to clean up from the mess we had made from our initial attempts. Because he knew I was curious, he offered to explain how he managed to install the unit. The price was fair and the service was incredible and super accommodating. I vowed I will never build or install another piece of Ikea furniture again on my own. We had a very courteous and highly competent assembler from IKEA Man finish a job today that was originally started by a Jiffy assembler about two weeks ago (one who was far from Jiffy or knew what he was doing). Moreover, the IKEA Man price was very reasonable and was consistent with the quote given prior to the job being accepted. This stands in contrast to Jiffy, who refused to give me a quote ahead of time despite our explicit request, so I gambled on that experience, one that I will not repeat. Bottom line is that we have had two very contrasting experiences with furniture assemblers working on the same/similar products within a two week period. IKEA Man wins hands down. I will call them again as they don't just assemble IKEA furniture -- they also service Crate & Barrel, EQ3, etc. Well done, and thanks! read more

IKEA Furniture Assembly Service is a great company to deal with!! I was extremely pleased from the initial phone call to end of installation. I contacted Ivan for a price to assemble a Patio Furniture set along with 2 bar stools. I received a quote right away, I requested if he could schedule me in a few days later. I was so pleased he was able to accommodate me with such short notice and the price to assemble was a reasonable. Michael, the installer was on time, knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. So impressed with this service. I am really glad that I found them. I had purchased a large chest of drawers that required two people to build. With my husbands and I's busy schedule, the last thing we wanted to do was spend several frustrating hours fumbling with Ikea. I emailed Ikeaman and they responded promptly. They were extremely busy as it was "high season" but definitely worth the wait. The day of the appointment the service guy, was EARLY. what?!?! I recently set up a home office which included IKEA furniture that I ordered online. In order to obtain the assembly service IKEA provides, I had to print off my bill and go to their closest store. It was only there I could make arrangements for this service. I was in the middle of a move and had no time for this extra step. It almost cost the sale. We were very happy with IkeaMan's service, no issues whatsoever. Michael came on time, was very nice and seemed very knowledgeable about Ikea items. He was shortly after joined by another assembler. Sure enough, everything was assembled beautifully, using blankets, with very little noise and the best part is, they bagged all the trash, cut up all the cardboard and cleaned the floor after they were done. Imho, that is one of the things that distinguishes them from others as these days, nice, helpful people and good service are becoming scarce. These guys are amazing. Ive had multiple handy men come in to put my furniture together and i was never satisfied. Im SO happy i found the Ikea man. I contacted Ivan last second and he was able to provide a quick quote and replied to all my emails so fast ! Vladimir and John showed up RIGHT on time and put ALL my furniture (A BUNCH) together within 5 hours. They were so clean, professional and patient. They then proceeded to cut up the boxes and tape them together, which made everything so easy to take down to the recycling bin! They even vacuumed my floor after !! Appointment set up was simple and fast. An assembly person was available within a day or two. I got my quote and we set the date and we were ready to go within hours set. I had several pieces that required assembly : 1 table, 6 chairs, 4 night stands, 2 six drawer chests, 1 shoe rack, 1 sofa, 2 poengs, 1 coffee table, 1 tv stand and a mirror to hang. I ordered a few pieces from Ikea but knew I wasn't going to be able to assemble a queen size bed with storage underneath all by myself. I emailed Ivan on a Tues I believe, he provided a timely quote for a setup of 3 items (bed frame, TV stand and night stand), the assembler Nikolai came on time that same Saturday and worked late into the evening setting everything up without complaint.
