It's tough to come up with a 40th birthday gift for an estranged spouse. These days, the only thing we have in common is our children, so it seemed fitting to include them somehow. In a rare moment of clarity, I found a way to get this done, give business to a worthy photographer ( ahem, and friend) at the same time. I posed the idea to Tom, to do a photo shoot of my kids as a present for my wife and his energy and enthusiasm made me immediately think I made the right choice. We discussed locations and concepts based on what I had seen of his work. Tom had some fantastic ideas and was very receptive to my own ideas. Tom feels that the comfort of the subjects is important, so we decided to do an outdoor shoot at the park in the neighborhood where they grew up. The day came and although Tom had nothing to do with the weather, I couldn't help but feel that with the most beautiful fall day I'd ever seen, Tom has an in with Mother Nature. The shoot went flawlessly. He worked great with usually difficult kids and I could tell they felt at ease. My kids are into cosplay, where they like to dress up as their favorite characters. They loved that Tom incorporated their costumes into the shoot and couldn't wait for the pictures. And what pictures they were. I've never seen my kids look so good. The shots were classy, true and fun. I am more than pleased with the results and they were a big hit with everyone who got one. Tom uses an easy method for getting you your pics. He sets up a web page where you can view all shots and order them however you wish ( mugs, cards, photos, digital, etc) . With one click, a picture will be in your hands within hours. The overall experience with Tom, was one that I can't say enough good things about. If you have the need for such services and you are in the greater Philadelphia and South Jersey area ( or even beyond- it's worth it) make sure you check Tom out. He even made me look good...and that's saying something.

Nachi was professional and fun to work with. He had some great poses we did with different groups and solo pics. The pictures that he captured were phenomenal and unique. My 17 year old son had is photo taken for his yearbook and it was awful. Being married to a head…read moreshot photographer, I am well aware of how a headshot SHOULD look. On the day that the photograph was re-taken, the Photographer MADE my son put on a blazer & tie that the photographer had brought with him. Not only was this not the look that we wanted, he put on garments that were not my son's that who knows how many students had worn that blazer and tie without being dry cleaned. In an age of lice, covid and other infectious diseases and coming out of a 2 1/2 year pandemic when we all sheltered at home for more than a year and masked up for longer than that, what the heck was the photographer and Normandy Studio thinking? The photographer put the tie around my son's neck to knot it, touching my son which as every adult knows they are NEVER allowed to touch a minor. When I confronted Normandy Studio, Paul Tighe the company school liason did not even apologize for incident. There are many choices of yearbook, headshot photographers in NJ, please do yourself a favor and shop around. There photos suck and they have no regard for a parent's wishes.
