Very pleasant experience. Showed person at front desk references (I believe her name was Lea) of what I wanted, which was a realistic mini portrait of my bunny. She was very kind, and knew which artist would do the best job, Church. Dope ass guy. Very personable. Very nice. I had an idea of what i wanted in my tattoo and some photos for reference, but we took a few minutes to scroll through other photos so he could be sure to include all aspects of what I asked for. Found the perfect one, gave me a valid estimate of how long it would take him to create a stencil. Was definietly quicker than the time he said. took me back and got started. Made sure everything was going well, even covered up my sleeve so it wouldn't stain ! Honestly one of my favorite tattoos, he did such an amazing job capturing the essential details in 1. making sure it looked like a bunny, 2. making sure it looked like MY bunny. The details are impeccable, very realistic yet not overly intricate. Quite a calming and enjoyable experience, 10/10 would reference Church again !! read more

I I had a very strange experience here with Church. I saw one of his instagram posts saying "custom scripts available" so I decided to get a consultation with him. During consultation: I gave him a few inspo pics. Specified the styles I like and what I liked about each inspo photo for his reference and I gave guidelines on size, proportions, and positioning. Day of my appointment: He presents the work and it was literally an inspo pic I sent him just resized. I pondered the point of our consultation prior and found it to be pretty insulting but I kept it pushing. We, or I, decided on a new design and we tweaked the size a few times. (In hindsight I should have tweaked it more because I couldn't see at the time that the middle numbers were slanted and not lined up well & the spacing would have looked better but was not trying to waste more time on an actual original idea that wasn't copy and pasted. Here's a timeline of my appointment: Arrive 10:30 Meet artist @10:45 *Consultation-redesign* Ink start: 12:20 (outline) "Lunch" Break: 12:45 (he steps out) Start Filling: 1:20 Halfway break: 2:30 Resume filling 2:45 Break 3:50 Final touches:4:20 Finish : 4:30 Rate $200/Hr Mind you, my tattoo is of only 4 numbers. I know this situation is embarrassing but I'm addressing my experience because it almost felt like I was doing Church a favor by giving him something to do on a Friday rather than coming in and being treated as a client. I conceived the notion that he took his time during the WHOLE process just to get paid more which, if that's the case, I lose all respect for him. I'm not sure if he was really listening to understand my vision during the consultation but the appointment had a bad start but I persisted and wanted to see it through to completion since I'm already there and have a decent 30 minute commute to from home. People concern over gas prices nowadays. My personal experience with Churchg was quite a drag and disappointing so I rate that a 3/10 If I had to rate the end result of the tattoo alone, it would be around a 6/10. I notice things that others wouldn't instinctively notice but it still isn't up to my liking sadly so I'm looking at laser removal treatment or even just by myself a machine for when these things happen. I know I definitely didn't need to pay $1100 for 4 numbers, 2 of the middle numbers being slanted. The Colombian cat that works beside him said even $1000 was a lot for something this simple and I'll agree with parcero. Ese panzón es un juevón para cobrar me así hijueputa. Church is definitely a cool guy as a person, I just didn't like the fact he copy and pasted an inspo pic which brought a huge burden to my mind, wallet, precious time and energy. It didn't bother me that he was lolligaggin with the receptionist while he was redesigning the tattoo on his iPad however I did expect better end results. If he sees this, he may smirk at this review cus he knew I was moving away shortly after. Unfortunately, I now have to find an laser tattoo removal clinic or fork out money for my own machine to blast this thing off of me. I just wish he was able to see my vision from the start but not everyone will fully see or understand your vision which is a part of life. In the end, I take full responsibility for how the ink came out like the waiver agreement states. Hear my story before you go (POLICE WAS CALLED) For such a personal and permanent art like a tattoo, you would expect to be treated with care, respect, and professionalism, right? But Ikonic Ink cannot be any further away from those expectations. I myself have gotten a tattoo from here before. Although wasn't my best experience, there was nothing to complain about. Therefore, when my girlfriend finally decided to get a tattoo after thinking for over a year, I referred her to this shop. She went for the appointment on the night of July 9th, 2020, I would've gone with her to make sure it was done right, but couldn't due to social distancing restrictions. But when she came back with the new tattoo on her back, I noticed that there were some lines missing and there are lines added that were not on the design. Those mistakes were pretty visible so it didn't feel right why she was not communicated of that during the work. But I still thought "Ok this is still fixable, we can call them up tomorrow to work something out." And this is where all things started making a turn for the worst. When I called up the tattooist (JUSTIN KEPHART), the same man that did my tattoo before, to discuss the situation, he gave me attitude right away. He immediately hung up after telling me that "I don't tell him how to do his job." So we went to the shop to meet him for an explanation in person. The first thing he spat out when he saw us was, and I quote "It's those fuckers here!" He continued to cuss us out in very rude languages. After some heated exchange, the female manager (STEPHANIE HUTTON) came out and threatened me with "My ex-husband was a marine and he will f**k you up". And demanded us to leave. Noted I was outside the shop the whole time so I had every right to be there. Then the tattooist (Justin) pulled out his phone and demanded to show him which part was not right. I pointed out only one of many for a response from him "Get the f**k outta here" He spat out some more words as he walked back into the store. I grabbed the door handle, the manager pushed me yet told me "Don't put your hands on me". At no point did I put my hands on her. She then called the police as we went across the street. The officers who talked to her came to us and told us that the manager claimed that I "grabbed" her and that there were "visible marks" on her arm. I can only wonder how she got those "marks" on. The moral of the story is, they don't care one bit about the customers. Before this, my experience here was a slightly underwhelming service attitude at worst. I've also heard other people's stories here that the staffs (especially the female manager) are unfriendly and mean. But this time, I'm truly appalled by their astonishing level of pure ignorance and unprofessionalism. I got my sixth tattoo at Ikonic ink and I have to say it was a rather weird experience. The tattoo itself is decent, definitely not the best work I've had done, most of mine has been done in Pittsburgh and I've had one done in London, so I guess you get what you put of a tattoo from central PA. My friend and I got tattooed by Ash. Like I said the work is decent, but she kind of talked down to us the entire time. I have several tattoos but it's as if she assumed this was my first kind of thing and it was a tad condescending. My friend accidentally touched my skin when she was laying the stencil and Ash kind of snapped at her as well. I wanted the stencil in a different spot, so Ash would have to clean the area again anyway and what my friend did was a minor accident. It's like 20 extra seconds if that. Also she talked shit on my friend TO ME for looking at the other artists work on the walls. I really didn't know what to say, her attitude was just off-putting. Also I have to say the other artist in the studio was quite unprofessional and made us very uncomfortable. I think his name was Kevin. The people in the shop were all just young women and the comments he was making we're quite foul and inappropriate. He made comments about shaving his butthole and towards the end made an antisemitic joke. Once again, was not really sure how to react. This is just honestly not a business I'd recommend. I've had some great experiences with tattoo shops so it really just makes me unhappy to see something like this, especially in a college town where a lot of young people who may not be particularly knowledgeable are going to get tattoos. read more

To be honest I don't feel like my artistic did a great job, after taking off the second skin I realized a lot of the lines are very faint and there a a few places that go outside the outline. I think Kevin J does great art as on the ipad the image looked fantastic but he rushed and half assed my tattoo. It was also very over charged for what I ended up with and I wouldn't recommend anyone with little knowledge of tattoos to go as they take advantage of you and don't seem to do as good of a job. read more

Josh Kunkle tattooed me. In the picture, the left is the day it was done and the right is just over a year later. The tattoo itself is a scar. Its raised and the ink is a mess. I've had 4 other experienced tattoo artists look at it and all have said that he dug too deep while tattooing. I know 3 other people that he has tattooed and all of the tattoos look like this. I have been thinking about getting my first tattoo for over a year. Since my boyfriend has gotten a tattoo from this place before, he referred me to this place. His experience here, according to him, "service was not the best, but they did get the job done." Thus, I had a reasonable expectation that it would be the same for me as well. But boy was I wrong I wanted my boyfriend to come with me since this is my FIRST EVER tattoo that will remain permanent and I wanted to make sure that it was done right (He wasn't able to come because of social distancing.) I reasonably assumed that the tattoo would be identical to the design since the artist blueprinted the design on my back, so I did not check every detail when it was finished. Until my boyfriend pointed them out after I got back, I noticed that there were some lines added out of nowhere and some missing on my actual tattoo when comparing to the original design. Throughout my entire tattoo experience, I was not communicated of any of those changes at all. But still I thought this would be fixable and decided to call them hoping to work something out the next day. And this is where everything turned for the worst. When my boyfriend called up the artist the next day, which is the same artist who did his tattoo, to discuss the situation, the artist only responded with attitude and immediately hung up. A few of my friends have gone in to get piercings and the piercer only marked their piercings about half of the time. Seems sketchy and unprofessional to me... I went to ask some questions about a piercing I have and to get some information about getting an industrial piercing. The first time I came in the blonde front desk lady was outside vaping and didn't come in to help me for 10 minutes. When she finally came in, she told me I would have to come back when the piercer was there. I came back later in the week and a different front desk lady was a lot nicer to me but she told me the same thing. A week later I came back and I spoke to the same blonde front desk lady, and she answered my questions in a really snarky way, and wouldn't give me all of the information about my piercing because she wanted me to buy jewelry from them. Their selection of jewelry isn't great; they have one type of ring for a conch and it isn't even on display - she made another employee show me what it looks like. I don't understand why the blonde front desk lady couldn't tell me what I needed the first time. I was really excited to get a new piercing but this experience was really shitty so I will not be coming back. read more

I got piercings here over a year ago. The experience overall wasn't great, I was treated rudely, up charged and my earrings weren't even spaced correctly. The real issue though is they never healed, and they always hurt, I can't even change the earrings without bleeding. This week, the left one became so infected and upset that I had to take the earring out. My ear is now ruined with an open wound that I am about to seek medical attention for, and the piercing hole is gone. The right ear is still pierced, but is always red and sore. I have 6 other piercings that were not done here, and I have never had any problems. I also have read similar reviews, so I know this was not just me. I will not be getting my ear re-pierced here, I will never go again. read more

The first time I went to Iconik was awesome. I came in to purchase jewelry. The guy was super helpful and even helped me insert my jewelry. So, when I lost my lip ring, or course I was going back to purchase another one there. And unfortunately that is the last time I will ever go in there. First, the guy didn't even want to sell me a lip ring bc he's not a piercer and knows nothing, and I wasn't sure what the length of my post was supposed to be. No worries, had this piercing for over 15 years i figured I can eyeball it and know. But he asked me to come back on a different day as the piercer is off Tuesday and Wednesday. Now, I did drive over 45 min just to buy my lip ring here because of the great service I had, and I was a little irked he suggested I come back.. so I picked out my jewelry. He asked me if I wanted assistance putting it in, and i said sure, and he said well that you do have to come back bc I cannot help you. Okay.. then why even offer? So I said it's fine, I will just put it in myself.. no worries. Do you have a bathroom I could use to put this is? And he said no, he couldn't let me in the bathroom so I asked if there was a mirror or something I could use and he said no but there is a bathroom out there.. and pointed to the exit. Then scoffed and rolled his eyes to the customers behind me. Honestly, the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. So from now, I will just buy my body jewelry elsewhere. read more

DO NOT GO HERE At first my experience seemed the same as any other tattoo shop. I went to Shawn Elliot for a shoulder to elbow arm piece. I was quoted 1250$ for a 10 hour session, which with my past experience seemed to be quite a lot and a long time, but I accepted anyway. After the first 10 hour session(which he only tattooed for about 5 hours out of that 10 due to the amount of bullshitting with other artists and taking smoke breaks every 20 minutes) he only had about half of what he planned on doing done so he told me he would give me a whole second day session for 50$ so i accepted and tipped him very well and when I came back for my second day session he complained the whole time because they scheduled my tattoo for his birthday. After about 3 hours of tattooing he told me that we were going to be done for the day because he wanted to get tattooed by another artist at the shop for his birthday. So I tipped him well again because I felt bad that he got scheduled on his birthday. I then go to the front desk where they charge me 600$ for 4 hours of tattooing even though I was told the whole second day session would be 50$ I still walked out of there paying 600$. After the third session of what was supposed to be one session the tattoo looked pretty good and I was happy with it. It's now been 7 months and the tattoo looks like garbage. Half of it is already so faded that it is unrecognizable. Overall worst experience I have ever had with a tattoo artist. They answered all of my questions, told me everything I need to know about my new piercing, and talked me through the whole process. Out of all the places I have been pierced this is by far the most accommodating, honest, and clean. The piercing process was quick and painless, the standard jewelry is included in the price (and they size it specifically to your features), and they make sure you have the proper information to proper care for your new piercing! I stopped in here to have someone take a look at a cartilage piercing I got elsewhere that had become painfully swollen and red. They were helpful and professional, explained my options. Turned out the earring I had been pierced with was less than professional grade and they recommended a switch to a titanium bar. I am not impressed at all. I got my belly button pierced here back in January of 2020. I am someone who has a lot of piercings (14 used to be 15 before this incident) so I know my issue with them is not due to my lack of knowledge or care. Starting off the staff were extremely unprofessional. I've been to a lot of amazing shops and this shop was by far the least impressive. Their jewelry is overpriced (for what it is.) I typically get the base jewelry when getting pierced as you have to get it changed out once healed anyways. Assuming this would be like other piercing shops I thought I would be safe with the quality of the jewelry they were putting in my body considering the price they charge. I have nothing wrong with paying good money for a piercing but if you're going to charge high you best not be putting the garbage you put into my body. The wait wasn't too long but once I got back to get pierced not only was the piercer unsociable (I wasn't even told his name) but he was also extremely unsanitary. My belly was wiped once extremely quick with a basic alcohol wipe and only in the front not on the inside. I was then very quickly pierced and sent off. I take very well care of my piercings and always have but no matter how I took care of this piercing it never seemed to heal and always caused me pain. Fast forward to April 7th after months of discomfort and the piercing rejected completely out of my skin. I will never be returning to this shop and for anyone looking to get pierced i highly advise against it as this was the most unprofessional shop I've been to and by far the worst piercing experience I have had in my life. read more

When I started having issues with my fresh piercing done in my home state the same day I was driving from MA to PA, Jesse Barto at Ikonic ink was happy to help. I called my shop and they vetted ikonic ink and asked me to swing by there for a check. I was having some hypergranulation and Jesse placed some silicone discs to allow the surface bar to heal correctly. Three days later, its healing great! Thanks Jesse!! read more

The "awesome" piercer here pierced my nipples and put eyebrow rings in them. She also pierced them too shallow. If I would've kept the rings in then I would've lost the sensation in my nipples and my skin was starting to grow over the piercings. I cannot speak for the tattoos but if you want a piercing I would go somewhere else. Clearly they think that eyebrows are in your shirt and not on your face. I would never go back here. Ever! The only reason I gave 1 star is because I can't give zero on this app. Worst experience I've ever had and I have eight tattoos and six other piercings. read more

She has done three of my piercings, and they have all turned out entirely to my satisfaction. She has also been very helpful addressing my concerns regarding healing and whatnot. I had a great experience at Ikonic Ink! Me and my two friends came in at 9:15PM to each get our one nipple pierced, and at first they said they were unable to take us because it was too late to do so many. However, after talking to Kara (the awesome woman who did our piercings flawlessly) she said she'd gladly do the job if we could wait for her to eat something lol. She was so fun to talk to and, having been doing body piercings for the past 25 years, was extremely knowledgeable about her piercings!! She made us feel super at ease despite the fact that we were a little nervous, and made the entire process quick and fun. We are all SO HAPPY with the job she did, and now I know who I'm going to if I ever need any other piercings in the future. I got my first tattoo from Joshua, and he just fucked everything up. He wasn't even able to draw a simple line properly. This is probably the most comfortable tattoo shop I've ever been in. (Military-been in a lot). Dave the owner takes personal pride in his staff and the actual set up of the shop is more like a living room than a waiting area. You're not boxed in while getting any work done and the open ambiance lets you know you're in a skilled shop. The artists will go far and beyond to make you happy! I got a piercing and it just wasn't right, Dave and Miranda brought me back in and took care of it....don't expect that with ink tho, that's not moveable! 5 Stars Ikonic! read more

He does some amazing tattooing and is very knowledgeable always keeping up with making sure he is using the best equipment available to keep you comfortable during the tattooing process and also a great guy to deal with personally so I strongly suggest you ask for him for some incredible art that will stay as vibrant on your skin for the duration of your life. Well I think that the artist do a great job, I will not be going back. I made an appointment outside normal hours and was told it was not a problem. I arrived at the shop a little early, door was closed with no lights on. I waited awhile, to be accurate I did not try the door, but I would have had to angle around the sidewalk sign to get in, appointment time 10:30, at 10:40 I called and left a message. Return call at 11:55, they had just listened to my message. I was told they had been there, first problem...why didn't you answer the phone, second...why did it take so long to listen to the message and return the call, third...if they had been there how was I to get into the shop, fourth...why was there no call asking where I was, if they were there, and last...no compensation for my inconvenience, I could come in at that time or reschedule. I had to work at 3:30 and was supposed to have had a 3 to 4 hour session. Again I think the artist are great but front desk needs help. read more

This was my first tattoo that I have ever had done, and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. I showed up about 45 minutes before the shop closed with a design that I had haphazardly drawn up for my wrist. The tattoo artist did a few tweaks, and called me over. The whole process took about 25 minutes, and they did such a good job of reassuring me that it wasn't going to be that painful. The design is beautiful and so precise.
