Lab is located right next door, so it's super convenient. Saturday hours and virtual visits are a plus. Parking is sufficient. read more

This hospital can work on not scamming their patients. I had a referral appointment the other day, I walked in and the little front desk girl tried to tell me I had two "no-shows", but I was here in Jan/feb for my appt. Prior to that, I hadn't had an appt there in years. I asked the front desk kid to show me proof, and she refused. So I will be switching providers and I suggest you avoid this place. You'll never meet a doctor anyways, you'll only meet nurses and NP's and not the same one. read more

I have felt the last 3 years, I found it impossible to find a Dr. that could explain, understand, and know where I am coming from and helping me get back on track to a healthy lifestyle without giving me a close to impossible goal to reach until I was referred to Dr. Irvine. Apparently Dr. Irvine has helped many patients reach their goals by actually listening. I appreciate how Dr. Irvine spent more time with me than her nurses and made me feel completely comfortable the entire time. It as been a couple weeks and already I have seen results due to her assistance, she is giving me hope that I have not had in a long time. Late sending prescription to pharmacy. I went to see nurse practitioner yesterday morning with painful UTI. I went early so I could get relief with medication prescribed the same day. The request was never sent to my pharmacy. So I had to wait another day to start the medication. I've been a patient over 20 years and am very disappointed in the delay..... They are also not prompt approving prescription renewals. read more

My husband was referred to a cardiologist and when we called IKP to find the name of the cardiologist they had no records of the referral. Our last straw -- My husbands prescription had zero refills so we called to make an appt to get another refill. No one EVER answered. I called 14 times in 16 days, and left 4 messages of our need of an appt. No one EVER called us back. We've moved to a new physician. We are very happy there already. read more

Dr Patel is a very thorough FP MD. He listens and directs care appropriately. There is a Quest lab attached to the practice that makes getting lab work done very convenient. They also have an internet portal that makes communication easy and you have your results at your finger tips. It is a well run office with great nurse practitioners and timely appointments. read more

After reading a couple reviews, I was hesitant about coming to this clinic, but I'm glad I did! I had no problems with not getting in touch w some one and was able to get an appointment the day of and didn't have to wait long once getting there. It's very frustrating I have called many times to be put on hold for long periods of time. Then when I do speak to someone I am assured I just need to go here or call here to get labs or testing and it never happens. I don't understand the disconnect in running an office efficiently.... everyone's time is important not just medical personnel. read more

I went in to IKP new location off 242, which was very hard to find! As I went to the room, they asked me if I had allergies and when I said yes, I was told I had to take a Covid test before I could be seen or reschedule! I literally have allergies year round in Texas! I've had Covid already so have antibodies plus know how I felt with Covid and just seasonal allergies. I don't recommend this clinic unless you don't have allergies or don't mind having a swab shoved in your nose every time you go! read more

I scheduled an appointment with PC Mary for a drug refill. I woke up with a sinus headache; have 3 sugerie on sinuses I know when I am have a sinus attack. My eyes swell and I have a frontal lobe headache.The nurse asks if I have a cough, I said no just sinus swelling. Nurse came back and says you have to take a COVID test; why I ask I do not have COVID symptoms. Its clinic rules she claims. Clinic rules everyone has to take a COVID test for a sinus infection. NO I am not paying for that I have no symptoms of COVID, this is ridiculous. I have no symptoms, but you want me to pay for a test to tell you I do not have symptoms. What a scam; now I have no drug refill because this clinic wanted to run up a bill on someone with no insurance. Plus the fact I heard every word Mary and nurses said in hall, who else heard her talk about me? When I had a bladder infection 2 weeks ago they could not see me so I ended up in ER with bladder infection. Their answer system called me every day to confirm for today; talk about annoying. Sitting in waiting room this poor guy came in because no one would refill his prescriptions. OUTRAGEOUS mess of a clinic. read more

I do not recommend this practice to anyone. It is almost impossible to get in touch with anyone - no one ever answers the phones, no one ever returns the voice messages.... They do not care about your situation as person and patient at all. I tried to get my migraine medication refilled, and for that they made me make an appointment, so they collect insurance money. That is okay, but the problem is that my insurance requested prior authorization, and after I was requested to make another appointment just to resolve this issue (more insurance money without services provided), the issue is still unresolved. I explained during my appointments that I am leaving for Europe in a week, and I need my medication and my referrals so I can make an appointment for an injection I need very much. It is already 5 days since I am leaving voice messages and requesting a call back, and finally I got extremely lucky today, after multiple calls, a front desk employee finally picks up - just to tell me that neither my medication, nor my referrals have been taken care of. I was, again, left to wait for a phone call that most likely will never come. Seems to me that Dr. Patel and this practice are more money oriented than people/customer oriented. Sad! read more

All the doctors are absolutely wonderful. They listen, care and spend the time to talk to you about what is the best plan forward. They don't rush you out the door. When you're at IKP Family Practice you know your best interest is what they care about. I meet with probably all of their doctors since I've been a patient with them for as long as IKP has been open but Dr. Patel is my favorite. I tried making an appointment for two weeks leaving multiple messages and waiting for a response. I received a single message phone call back and it was in the middle of my work day and no message was left for me. They're also extremely unhelpful with setting up appointments when you do finally get someone to answer the phone. I understand availability as I work in healthcare as well but they're very unsympathetic and not flexible at all nor do they recommend anyone else since they always seem to be booked a month or so our. Very unfortunate as I'd quite like the doctor I'd seen there before. Definitely don't recommend their services. read more

I wish I had better things to say about this place. I recently came in for a COVID test, was placed in a room while a younger girl with brown hair and glasses, that very much smelled like marijuana, barley shoved the test in my nose which most likely resulted in a negative test since I went to some place different and tested positive. The customer service at IKP Family Medicine in Spring, TX is atrociously bad. First, they do not answer the phone. You will not be able to talk to a live person, you can only leave messages. If you miss their call back, tough cookies, they will not leave a message with a call back number. Their support staff is poorly educated. They do not ask for sufficient information about patients, so they routinely screw up referral requests. You may never get to see a doctor, only a nurse practitioner. The offices are pretty, but all that glitters ain't good. read more

Horrible place. After clearly stating I had NO COVID symptoms but having a asthma attack I was yelled at by the a nurse named Melinda. She claimed I was "horrible human being". They were extremely rude and tried to make up for it by calling me to apologize? They gave me a prescription without even seeing me even after they tested me and the results came back negative again. Doctors are great. Just called at 4:21 pm and got a message saying the office is closed and that their hours are 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. This is just a microcosm of the issues with the office staff. The phone line needs to be open until the real closing time. The wait is beyond reasonable and you have to schedule appointments far in advance. My wife had to call them back constantly because they won't follow-up or return calls within a reasonable timeframe. Dr. Westbrook has been my primary care physician for over 25 years. He really sits and listens to his patients.

This practice is terrible. It took 4 days to get an appointment, the staff at the front desk was less than helpful and barely looked at me. The wait wasn't bad, but the doctor was not very thorough. I asked for some blood work and was made to feel like it was impossible unless SHE requested it. I told her my history and eventually persuaded her to do the blood work. I have now been waiting 18 days for the results that were supposed to be in within 3-5 days. When I called last week I was told the results were there but the doctor had not looked at them and she woukd give me a call. I just called again, a week later, and the results still have not been read because "the doctor is busy catching up with patients". I am beyond frustrated and do not recommend ANYONE going here. Extremely frustrating. read more

I made an appointment for a meningitis shot only a couple of months ago, but because my child was 18 at the time of initial visit, they told him he needed HPV - which I declined several times when he was younger - but he now needs the booster and IKP Family Medical wants to charge him $110 for a shot I did not even want to give him or a $25 no show fee if he declines!! Super pissed and I have been going there for years!!! Update: after 45 minutes on the phone, they were able to pull my son out of the room with doctor before shot was given and refund full credit. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Patel and the IKP staff (at both the Spring and Woodlands locations). Dr. Patel is very thorough and he knows his stuff. He goes out of his way to make his patients feel comfortable and to answer any questions, etc. Great doctor and great office! read more

We absolutely love Dr. Irvine and all the NP's and staff. We are both in our 70's and I have severe COPD, and we have received excellent care by all staff. Currently, Colleen is our NP and we trust her completely as well as Dani, Who was our first NP until she had her first baby, but she has stepped in when Colleen had her baby. Normally I would prefer to do in person visit but the doctor keeps doing video, just to talk to me for 5 minutes or less. The staff are nice but dumb since they can't get me to talk to the doctor when I need them. Other than that just don't waste your time here if you want them to return your call in one day when they'll eventually call you back after a month. read more

I absolutely love Dr Irvin and his entire staff! I've been going to IKP for at least 15 years now and have seen their practice grow. Dr Irvin speaks to you like you are a human being, in layman's terms, and is very straight forward. I've referred many people to him and we all say the same thing, best doc ever! To the patient that had to write down things, then tell the nurse, then tell the doctor, that's what happens when you go to any doctor. I'd rather them triple check then give me the wrong diagnosis or medication. Yes, there is a slight wait time but the doctors can't control if a patient wants to speak to them about more than what they made the appointment for, and these doctors are very courteous as to listen if you have more than one issue. All in all, I highly recommend IKP and all the doctors there! read more

I have been going here for about 10 years and love the doctors. The only problem I have ever had is sometimes the wait in longer than usual however, I have experienced that at other doctors office. I recently was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and IKP moved very fast to order me an ultrasound once the ER report showed a nodule. Would recommend them to anyone I know! read more

I was very disappointed with my experience. I made an appointment for a physical and my first visit to IKP to establish a new primary care provider and I will definitely keep shopping elsewhere. The nurse practitioner was in a rush. I left with many health issues completely unaddressed and was sent away with an RX for anti-inflammatory that I may or may not need. Because I asked for additional consult on some health issues I have currently, they charged me an $80 fee for a brief hello from a doctor who never said more than hello (literally) for a cool 90 seconds. Excuse me, what was the $80 visit for? They ripped me off and my insurance company as well. I am taking my healthcare needs elsewhere and I recommend others to do the same. read more

Dr. Patel is my new doctor! He was very welcoming! He's very nice and answered all my questions. He didn't rush me and gave me advice on a lot of my concerns!! He had answers to everything and knows what he's talking about!! Awesome Doctor. Now the front staff is so dull!!! They don't even look at you in the face when they talk to you. Ashley in the front desk didn't even bother to greet me and all she was doing was looking through a folder sitting down. The young girl next to her had to get off their phone with a patient to attend to me! These ladies are the face of this medical office and should be more friendly and welcoming! The receptionist is the problem here. We asked for directions three times were put on hold never to be answered. When they finally did answer, they couldn't seem to give us decent directions. I had driven over 50 miles to get my mom to this appointment. By the time we deciphered their terrible directions and arrive 30 minutes late, they steadfastly refuse to see my mother, even though they were running behind schedule. We would have waited past the appointment anyway. I want to single out the nurse practitioner that made the executive decision not to see us after we drove 50 miles. This Nurse Ratchet's name is Colleen Finnegan. Avoid these people like the plague. We will never go there again. This is no way to treat people, unless you're in communist Cuba... read more
