Although "Express" is in the name, the clinic has been quite slow in providing diagnostic follow-up. My husband initially went in on Monday at 9:30 AM experiencing intense pain early in the morning. There were no lines when I arrived, the office was clean, and the staff were polite and professional. During the visit, they drew labs and gave me a referral to have an ultrasound done (which I was able to get done that day at 1pm). I was told that they would call me with the results once everything was reviewed. Wednesday, the clinic contacted us with the lab results, but they had no update regarding the imaging. I then called the imaging center myself and was informed that the ultrasound images had already been sent to the clinic Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday, I went to the imaging center in person to pick up a copy of the results and the CD containing the images. I called the same day (Th) and was told the NP should have the results reviewed by Friday. When I followed up today(Friday), I was told that it may not be reviewed until Monday. While I'm grateful my husband's pain has mostly subsided and is feeling almost back to normal, the delay in reviewing the imaging results feels unnecessary and frustrating. Especially considering the imaging center had already sent the results several days ago. Overall, my initial visit was positive in terms of the cleanliness of the office and the friendliness of the staff and cost of the visit. After calling they are more annoyed and don't seem to care that patients are left with no answers. The delay in communicating diagnostic results and providing follow-up information has been disappointing and has left me waiting longer than expected for answers. This is my second time going here for labs and imaging (first time with my son) and I didn't experience this type of delay so hopefully this isn't what usually happens. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Family Express this morning was concerning. We went in for a strep test and waited over two hours, but that wasn't my main issue. About an hour after opening, I used the restroom and found it in unacceptable condition (video attached), which immediately raised concerns about cleanliness. In the exam room, containers of Q-tips, gauze, and cotton balls were left uncovered, and the strep test was performed without gloves or handwashing. We interacted with three different staff members who neither washed their hands nor wore gloves while caring for our daughter. The technician who initially came in to take her blood pressure and temperature repeatedly used profanity and complained about missing supplies, including a stethoscope. Before leaving, I checked the restroom again and found it unchanged. The lack of cleanliness, infection-control practices, and professionalism was very disappointing. read more

very annoyed... went in because I can feel a cold coming on, coughing sneezing runny nose ... and being older I know it always leads to me gettung sick so I usually go up there and get a steroid shot and prednisone to head it off. I am on the road a lot so it sucks to be sick. after listening to some woke basically child tell me how bad steroids are for me and name off all the diseases I can contract from the sinus shot, I then has am arrogant nurse come in and condescendingly tell me she was goving me a shot but no prednisone because she doesn't want to, and I quote "over steroid" me and kept going "ok" "ok" everytime she told me what she was doing in a very rude fashion. i politely got up and walked out and when they asked, I said I just don't pay money to be talked down to. I'm done... I hope the owners sold them because they were awesome at one point and I hate to think they have started hiring these California woke people. read more

Called just now - 6 minutes before they closed - just to get a prescription refill sent in. As soon as the call started I was placed on hold and I waited for twelve minutes. I swear someone picked up the phone and placed it down after about ten minutes. I understand they were about to close but it was just a simple task, they were still open, and I was told to hold on.. lol I'm actually still on hold as I type this. Here's another Express Family. No appointments, walk-in patients (first come, first serve) only like visiting an urgent care. They don't work with insurance, so be prepared to pay your bill on your way out the door. Mine was $30 and I was in and out in under 20 minutes. So convenient! The staff is friendly and efficient and my Nurse Practitioner, Faith Leber was really great too. The staff appeared to be all female. Girl power! Lol Because this is a group of Nurse Practitioners, if you need an actual doctor to sign off on your paperwork, you might wanna try elsewhere. Suited me just fine. Went here at the recommendation of an acquaintance to have a thyroid panel done. I had been taking Levothyroxine and needed my levels checked to adjust my medication if needed. Paid $45 for the panel. They called to let me know my levels were elevated so I gave them my pharmacy info for the Dr to call in my meds. They told me I had to pay another $50 to come in for a "visit" and would then call in my meds. Seriously!? Absolutely ridiculous, and sad that they practice their business this way. Would NOT recommend. read more

This place makes insurance look like a joke. the prices for the services, vaccines, or basically just anything are sooo cheap. cheaper than what insurance would normally charge You AFTER a deductible. my fiancé has been here regularly before he got insurance and this place has been amazing every time. it has always been less than 100 bucks for just about any problem he has without insurance . from colds, infections, back problems, literally anything... now he has insurance through his job and thankfully we haven't had to use it until today we actually needed it . BUT clinics in the area that take insurance couldn't take him in today (SMFH, america right??) so he went back here and was completely okay with paying out of pocket. so today he went in at about 4:30pm because he had an allergic reaction to a wasp sting and they took care of him right away even though they close at 5pm. they checked his vitals, gave him steroids to help with his allergic reaction, and a few others things and medications and STILL the total was less than $110 WITHOUT INSURANCE!! are You kidding me??? if we had gone to a clinic that takes insurance im sure he would've had to pay a $200+ deductible PLUS the medications they had to give him for his allergic reaction, but not here. this place is truly life saver. oh and the staff is ALWAYS nothing short of phenomenal. I have been using the Express Family Clinic for the last few years and have always been very pleased with them. But in the last week, they've been so helpful that I wanted to make a formal recommendation for anyone looking for a cheap, no insurance, good clinic. Last week I took advantage of their "Virtual Clinic" which allows you to video chat with a nurse practitioner for small things like minor illnesses or refilling prescriptions. The nurse practitioner was so nice and kind, best bedside manner around! I got a prescription refilled and was so grateful when I got off the chat with her last week that I cried. I started feeling sick the next day, but hoped I could shake it. It's now been quite a few days with fever and symptoms of a sinus infection. I stayed home from work today hoping I'd feel better, but the fever has returned. Rather than driving down to Spring or to one of their branches in Montgomery, I did the virtual clinic again. Same nurse. Remembered me and everything. Seriously so nice. Totally worth it to pay $50 and stay home than to drive there, wait in the waiting room, wait in a room, and then pay $50 (though they've always taken care of me kindly and quickly there, too). I can not recommend Express Family Clinic highly enough. read more

My husband and I have both been seen by the Nurse Practitioners at the Rayford location. We were both treated with extreme courtesy by all of the staff. The clinic was busy but it was a flu season and a very busy season at that. We didn't think we had the flu but we wore the surgical masks available so we wouldn't get others infected. The waiting room was clean, the patient rooms were clean and the NP washed her hands before seeing us. We will come here for any of our medical needs. You cannot ask for better care. read more

My husband is in the trucking industry and at a point it was crazy as he left different companies due to no miles which would leave us uninsured and thats when I found the Express Family Clinic Rayford Rd. Over 7 yrs ago and right today even if Im insured out of habit and not worrying with the deductible I go here. They are so nice I can't say enough positive things. I've honestly returned bacause of the service that they provide and the affordability. They doctors are very knowledgeable. I've taken my children and husband here as well and everytime I've left happy. Even if I have a doctor on my husband's insurance I keep going here . Wait time is awesome as well... I've been during the pandemic and I love the way that they take precautions. So I'm not worried if I will return home ill ... They allowed me to wait in my vehicle and notified me when it was my time. They are making sure to keep contact to the very minimum and it stays clean. I have nothing bad to report on them... I really frown on going to doctors. I've been to a lot in my life mostly due to allergy and ear related issues. I had a nagging drainage issue with my left ear. Allergies being what they are, I have always had ear infections (if this was indeed an infection) pretty much clear up on their own. Whatever I had going on this time went on for several months. I figured it was beyond time to go see someone. I looked up clinics around me and read the reviews on several. Of course, one can never be wholly certain about reviews these days. Express Family Clinic was close, they had good reviews, and their website was fairly straightforward. I figured $50 was a safe gamble (if that was indeed going to be the price) compared to $150+ for an ENT or other doctor. The other reviews here are correct. The staff is super friendly. I was seen within 15 minutes of arriving and filling out the customary new patient form. The staff was attentive and caring. Of course, one of the reasons why I dislike going to doctors is that they always find something else wrong with me. No exception this time, but this wasn't my first rodeo. Heather even offered to have me independently confirm her finding myself. I laughed and said no. It was suggested that I have another test run. I asked what the price was. I was quoted an unbelievably reasonable sum and that was exactly what I was charged at checkout. I was also given a list of referrals. Do be aware that they DO NOT bill insurance for you. It is self pay, but their rates are beyond reasonable, at least in my experience. I was charged the customary $50 office visit and then $30 for the additional test and given prescriptions that . . . wait for it . . . I could ACTUALLY read. That in itself was amazing. read more

Called them on a Wednesday at 10:30am. Told Rose my illness. She put me on hold for 11 mins. Daisy came back on the line and asked if she could help. I said Rose was helping. She said Rose is with a customer. I reminded her I was a customer and she was helping me. She put me on hold. After 15 mins I gave up. Called back at 3:30 and was told they are busy and someone would call back before the end of business day. They did not. I called the next day, Thursday, and Randall told me to take something over the counter. Friday I called back and asked for something stronger. They told me I had 2 weeks from last visit and it was now past that time so had to come back in the office and pay for another visit!! I reminded her when I called Wednesday that was day 14 from my initial visit and it wasn't my fault they didn't get back to me for 3 days. She said she would talk to the nurse practitioner and they'd call before end of day. I was nervous about this as I'd heard this before AND this was a holiday wknd. They did not call back. As i feared I had to spend the holiday weekend still without the meds I needed. It's now Wednesday and still no call..... and a solid week after my original call! (Good thing I'm not dying.) I would NOT recommend them. They tried to double dip on office visit and make me pay again, when I should not have had too. Plus they do not seem to care about their clients. I am very very happy to have found Express clinic. I was treated and given a prescription for $50, YAY! I was able to get my meds for $5.60 at Walmart. I am new to the Houston area, unemployed, uninsured and didn't have a local physician. In the past I have gotten stuck with huge medical bills even with insurance and I normally only go see a doctor a couple of times a year for annual checkups and few times that I get sick. I was pleasantly surprised at Express Clinic the front desk staff was very friendly and explained the costs. I was seen and the nurse made me feel at ease as they took my vitals. My only regret is that i struggled for 3 weeks and didn't seek medical attention because I was concerned about the expense, now I know I don't have to worry about unexpected medical costs. A couple of days after my office visit the clinic called to check on me. I was pleasantly surprised that they followed up with me. I love this place. Not having health care, being sick can be incredibly expensive. I went in on a Tuesday for a common cold. I waited in the waiting room for about 10 minutes. They called me back, and I waited in the viewing room for about 30, but it didn't bother me because I wasn't being charged an arm and a leg for health care. The visit with the practitioner was quick but thorough. I know I can trust these people. It was only $50! She prescribed me antibiotics and steroids just to be sure. After the coupon card that they gave me, and my good rx app coupons my 3 prescriptions were only $15. To top everything off, they even gave me a courtesy call to make sure I was satisfied and to ask if there was anything else they could do. I'll definitely be going back! read more
