They literally saved my life. Had stress test in Arizona one year prior to coming to Vital Heart in Texas. Arizona never conveyed the seriousness of my test results. In the following year, I had symptoms of heart problems that led me to Vital Heart. I took a printout of my AZ test results with me, for them to review as part of my initial visit with them. Dr Marcy Lim was the Doctor that saw me. She was shocked when she reviewed the results, and immediately scheduled an evaluation for heart stints, with Dr David. I had over 90% blockage in at least one of the veins on my heart. Dr. David immediately preformed a procedure to place stints in the effected areas. Horrible place they take your money and do not tell you that they can assist with care until after you paid an then it's 2 months out. The doctor Tressman does not even clearly explain that he only does the procedure 2 time a month and makes you wait 30-50 days to help with the procedure after they know that you are in pain. The cardiologists are excellent. They are friendly and explain issues clearly. The billing department, however, is terrible. If you call, you can only leave a message. When I left a message asking about my balance, the reply was a voice message on my phone: "you have no balance with us", which is not true. I have a negative balance, which means that they owe me a refund. Very dishonest peole. read more

This is in relation to the PET Scan experience only. We love our doctor at Vital Heart and Vein. My wife was scheduled for a scan with valium as she has severe anxiety and claustrophobia. In previous visits, the primary technician allowed me to stay with her to talk her through things. I was initially told I would be called to come in after my wife was prepared for the test. However, today's experience with Han was in fact horrible. Not only would she not allow me to stay, but she also had to call in another nurse to do my wife's IV after poking my wife 6 times to find a vein. That nurse (Christie N) got it the first time. When the test started, my wife, of course, started panicking, and Han refused to allow me to come in, would not give her a drink of water to help and kept belittling my wife because she moved. She went on further to tell her because my wife had moved she would now have to take additionl pictures. At one point exclaimed, "Oh my God" due to her frustration with my wife. Then asked my wife if she wanted to continue, and my wife told her of course this is the test my doctor ordered. Han continued to belittle her in this situation and asked a second time if my wife was done. By this time, my wife was finished and was an emotional mess by the time I finally got in the room. We left with my wife in tears. We went to our doctor's office upstairs and spoke with his nurse, who has since arranged another type of test. For that we are grateful. This nurse/technician, Han should be avoided until she has proper training on how to deal with patients who have some mental health challenges. read more

Horrible I waited for an hour and a half to get ahold of someone I finally got someone 1hr and 20 minutes in and she says I'm in the wrong department and sends me on hold again. So ridiculous. If you need help and want to get ahold of someone please go to another facility. read more

the physicians are terrific, it's the staff that does not follow through. They will not complete forms and/or will send INCOMPLETE (that require prior authorization such as specialty devices). The insurance carrier sends alternative options such as electronic or telephonic options repeatedly that are ignored. Weekly calls to this practice to address this matter only result in the same answer of form completed last month. Never get a call back, cannot speak with the physician or make an appointment to see in person. Will not provide email of physician to communicate with either. The turn around of clinical staff is high, which means there is an issue. if you can bypass the staff and go straight to the physician, let us know your strategy! read more

I was seen recently by Dr Wong at Vital Heart and Vein, who ordered 2 tests, an echo cardiogram and a sonogram on my legs. I paid $950.00 up front for the tests because I am on a high deductible health plan. I understand this. When I went back to get my results, the Dr charged an additional $75.00 to give me the results. I find this unethical and dishonest. The person at the front desk blamed this on insurance, however it was the doctor that charged me to render no other service than to hand me the results of tests for which I had paid in full. read more

I am very upset at this facility. Dr. Rajiv Agarwal left and opened his own practice. Vital Heart & Vein has done nothing but hinder my medical care. They refuse to send my medical records to Dr. Agarwal, they say that they never received a request (although I have FIVE proof of facsimile transmission sheets saying otherwise). They say they have 30 days to produce the records, even though I am standing at the window, willing to PAY for my own records so I can have necessary surgery. I was to have a heart test to make sure I did ot have build-up. I had to pay and said it would be $400. So I did it. In the end after all the visits, EKGs, and just stuff it was $1,200 and the Dr. did not really share much but what was expected. I had to drag information out of her. My appointments with the nursing staff and doctors went very well. The billing issues have been a year and a half nightmare. I paid all my co-pays and divided up what my insurance was predicted not to pay and was at a zero balance after my last follow-up. A couple months later I was billed for what they insurance did not pay yet. I called, they said disregard the bill, insurance will catch up. A few moths later I opened a threatening bill. I went in and set up payments. A month later I received a collections company bill! I called and they were very rude and unsympathetic. Now I just received another bill from the office for a "co-pay" from the first appointment that I know I paid. They said it was because the insurance just paid that visit now. I thought I was paying what the insurance didn't pay. Since they paid it now how is it I owe them more money? They hung up on me. I am so upset. I will be going to Dr. Siropaides' new office; not this rude, willfully ignorant office with their bullying tactics.
