Glass vases and other hanging wall decor tie into the same scheme. The inside was bright and clean. I was curious to try their cacio e pepe since I heard this dish originated from around these parts. Their version Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe al Profumo di Limone (spaghetti with cheese, pepper and lemon) €16 was decent, though unfortunately not the traditional recipe I expected to be made without cream/butter. It was a little creamy, not too saucy (as it should be), with fresh pepper and lemon which added a needed brightness. Not bad though a little rich to consume by itself for a meal. The bread that came with meal was a cold, though fresh. Staff was professional and cordial enough though a felt a bit all-business-no-pleasure. Overall dinner prices seemed pretty reasonable compared to other places, with a €3 coperto charge, though interestingly this was the only restaurant where the staff asked if I wanted to tip on top of the bill (I did). We had to wait an unusually long time just to receive the bill after asking for it, and our sparkling water wasn't served until we had nearly finished our meal. But the octopus was a little rubbery on some pieces. The char was nice. We also ordered cured meats and cheeses to snack on, and it was wonderful! I only wish we had more prosciutto. We weren't super hungry so we ordered one beef dish and the grouper dish and while the portions were small, the flavors and presentation were amazing! We couldn't stop raving! The bread served with the meal was piping hot and so delicious (although we didn't enjoy the olive oil served with it, oddly enough). We also received a small zucchini flower app, and at the end of the meal, we were served a small selection of delicious desserts. Super sweet presentation and great bite-size flavors! We've been eating our way through Italy-as everyone else-and this was definitely our best meal in 8 days! It's on the pricey side but so worth it. So glad we stumbled upon it. You can tell the guy who took our order is the owner and he showed a great deal of pride in his restaurant. I wanted to order an additional plate since my main course was only fish.. he said it would be too much and he didn't want to waste food. Most restaurants don't care as long as they sell you more. Every dish was soo flavorful. My daughter's dish was the two color pasta with Gorgonzola and honey and it was amazing. My fish was moist and flavorful. My husband's pesto was very good and so was my sons pasta. I tasted everyone's food lol. The salad was also amazing. We all loved what we ordered and that is very rare.
