I had bought a Groupon deal and had my eyelash extension (90) done on 10/30. My technician, Kate, was friendly and gentle, I fell into sleep during the session. However, in the morning on 10/31, I had at least 20 lashes came off. I was shocked and called them to ask. They were nice, offering to fix the lashes for free, so I came back on 10/31. Kate told me C-curl was too heavy for my eye lash, so she would use B-curl this time. After then, my eye lash looked great again. But the good looking didn't last more than a week. On 11/6, all the lashes almost came off. I remember I did my first eyelash extension in a nail salon in Astoria, Queens few months ago. That time my lashes started coming off after 2-3 weeks, such a difference...

I've been coming here on and off for the past year or so. I can honestly say I've been to quite a few lash extension place and this is by far the best in quality, decor and yes the quality of the work. I am not at all into the drag queen effect I like them hardly noticeable so my recommendations would be mascara 11-13 simple and people will not assume they are falsies. I always make sure to ask for Olga. She is by far the best I've had. A few weeks back Olga was not available and I was quite disappointed. On the average I loose about a lash a day but that perhaps normal when you consider daily baths and wiping your face. I always make sure to sleep on my side as to not put any pressure my extensions when I sleep. On the average I would say they last me about 3weeks. Then it's time for a touch up! :)

The first time I ever tried lash extensions was at iLash. I had always wanted to try lash extensions but so many places are SUPER pricey, and to try them out for the first time and blow a bunch of money on it was not going to happen. I found a groupon deal for iLash and the reviews for them were great so I decided why not give them a try! The place is really nice and clean and the room that she applies the lashes usually has nice soothing music so you can relax or even fall asleep if you like. Before you even begin you can choose from different curl shape, length and thickness! So you can get a customized look which is great because everyones eye shape is different so you can play around with different combinations to find the set that looks best on you. I got 70 lashes on each eye as well as bottom lashes because I didn't want the top to look too overwhelming while the bottom had puny unnoticeable lashes. Overall iLash is amazing and I will definitely be going back again!

About 1 month later without fill ins.

I had a great experience with ilash! This was my first time ever getting eyelash extensions and my consultation went great. I wanted longer lashes that made my eyes look flirty but natural at the same time. Extensions make such a huge difference! I was blown away how much bigger it made my eyes look. Anna was my technician and she was very very gentle and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I'm very happy with the way my lashes came out. Also great customer service! C curl | 0.15 thickness | 10-12 length | 70 pieces Update 9/20/17: It's been almost 1 month since I've had my lashes done and I'm still amazed at how well they're holding up. Yes, a lot have fallen off but still a good amount of them are intact and I don't look crazy yet! I haven't had them filled in once. You can obviously tell they're less full but they still appear natural looking. I've gotten them wet many times and they've also started to flatten. Brush your lashes ladies! And try your best not to rub your eyes! (This was really hard for me, prior to extensions I constantly rubbed my eyes many times during the day and night :X) Your extensions will thank you and so will your eyes! I've noticed my dark circles lightened up after I stopped touching my eyes. :)

90 lashes, C Curl, 10-12mm length, I believe .20 thickness. First timer from Groupon! This is 2 days after application.

I got my lashes done for the first time a week ago and iLash was a great experience. The staff will give you a ton of choices (go back a little ways on the instagram, and you can see the choices in curve, length and thickness). While I have nothing to compare it to for my own lashes, the work seems really solid. I had my first last fall out lash night (at least that I noticed) which seems to be LESS frequent than my normal lashes. While I feel like this will probably end up being my place, I am going to check out a few other locations...mostly because I'd like to try a mink look which they don't appear to offer. If I come back here, I'd like to experiment with the mascara thickness (which they had recommended to me to begin with, but I had turned down because of some reviews I saw here previously). Oksana was awesome and my eyelashes (90) were done in about 75 minutes.

    Before (damaged from another studio)

Got my lashes done here she did a great job working hours to remove an old set I had and then applying a natural set. I would like to come back for more of the glam style look 2D wasn't full enough for what I wanted. 2D with cashmere is what I got which is fluffy and very natural roughly $200 a set. All in all this is a cute quiet studio and the woman who did my lashes was very kind and sweet. The process is kind of slow takes 2 hours on average more if you have my situation (disaster old set) or need a new set but you will leave with a clean set of lashes. I will be back!

It was my first time getting lashes done, I wanted extensions for wedding day. I went 2 days before my wedding day , I express to them that I wanted them to look natural but full The person that did my lashes was great she took 2 hours making sure they were perfect when normally she said it take 1hr and 20min I was extremely happy with my lashes the day of my wedding I did not have to do much on my eyes because the lashes were to perfection They lasted as solid 3weeks as long as you take care of them like they tell you I would get them done again for a special occasion

She scheduled me for classes starting Monday. However, on my very first day, I was told I could not attend class and could not take the English exam for the price I paid. She stated the $1,880 was only for the Chinese exam, and the English version would cost $3,500. This was never mentioned during enrollment after | clearly stated my needs. How could I possibly take a Chinese exam when I can't read the language? It's either a severe administrative failure or a deliberate trick to get people in the door. I have never seen a school treat a potential student with such disregard. Fortunately, received a refund, but the entire ordeal was a huge waste of time and energy. Be very careful and get everything in writing.

This is the new location of the Carsten Institute (original location was in Union Square), which I…read morelike because Grand Central is more convenient to get to for me. It's also a lovely and large space. First time I came to this place, it worked out so well, it was like a dream. I loved the instructor - he was so knowledgeable and suggested I get high lights then add the copper red color I wanted. The student was really nice and did a great job. My only complaint was that it took a bit longer than I expected - over 5 hours but that's understandable because the student is a student after all, and still learning... What took the longest were the high lights. Overall, I was very happy with the color and the price was great too- $60 because I got the model rate of $15 per bowl. Last weekend, I returned for a second time and there were definitely a few hiccups along the way. The instructor was a different one from last time and I definitely don't think he was as good as the other one. He said that I could either get high lights (but the top would still be dark) or they would have to bleach my hair to get it to the lighter color I wanted. Now, I never wanted to bleach my hair but they convinced me to do it. The student spent a long time on adding the bleach/lightener to my hair and used 3 bowls total for it which I think was kind of wasteful. Also, the way they explained the pricing was really confusing so when I brought that up, the instructor said he could give me the model rate of $15 per bowl and I really appreciated that. Anyway, after the bleach, the student washed it out of my hair, blow dried it a little then started applying the copper color. That process was really quick so that was good. And I really liked the towel the student used to wipe the color off my face- It smelled of beautiful lavender. When it came time for the color to be washed out, the student told me that I would need toner to be added but I actually really liked the light reddish orange brown as is and I felt like the toner would make my hair color darker. She then called over the instructor to see if he could explain it to me better. He said it was fine if I don't want the toner applied. The caveat was that I couldn't complain to them about my hair color later. I agreed to that and am so glad I left it as as, because now it's this gorgeous bright copper color and has the effect of high lights in them. The student did a great job blow drying and curling my hair afterwards. Something to keep in mind: The instructor mentioned the whole process would take approximately 4 hours, but it was actually more like 5.5 hours so expect to be in the salon for awhile especially if it's for color. In the end, 5 bowls were used so I paid $75 + tax and tip (you tip the student directly.) Overall, I was very happy with the results and the student worked hard to make sure I got the color I wanted.

I then asked what I could do at this point and the woman replied " well what day can you come in and be on time for??" No sense of customer service at all and very condescending. Will never pursue this place again.
