The people here are very friendly and helpful when picking out the right lashed for you. At the time of the appointment: I had bought a Groupon deal for 120 lashes. When I got to the place I told the receptionist that I wanted my lashed to extend up (glamour like) and that I wanted them thicker. My normal lashes are usually short and straight so I wanted this to standout but will a natural feel. She recommended me lashed from 10-12, C curl with 0.26 thickness. They turned out very well and thank god not all crooked. I love them a lot and the glue doesn't burn, but there were some things that I was concerned about. 1) The tech was very nice, but she accidentally dropped the tool on my forehead. Also, on my right eye she used a little more glue so it hurt a little when she was be brushing apart the lashes.. I could feel the pull. ________________________________________________________________________ 1.5 months later: 2) now to finish my review .....It has been 1.5 months and I still have half of my lashes in tact. However, I have noticed, that compared to another place I've tried last year, more of my real lashes fall off with the lashes. =(. Overall: These are good quality lashes with minimum glue burn. In terms of price, without the Groupon deal it is much more expensive than other places and the refills are a quite up there as well. I really hate writing bad reviews but I felt that it was absolutely necessary. This is by far the worst place I've ever gone to for my lashes, and that says a lot, considering I've gone to a ton of places in the city. The receptionist was really nice and they were somewhat accommodating (there was a bit of attitude from the eyelash chick) to my coming in 20 minutes early before my appointment. The place is cute over all except for the horrible techno music. I guess a majority of people prefer to listen to club music instead of something relaxing while getting their lashes done. Not me. What's the point if I can't even move? The process overall took about less than an hour. For 90 lashes? Yeah, not typical, but I figure I'd wait it out and see how they look after a few days. Few days pass, lo and behold, lash fall after lash fall; eye irritation; uneven placement (yes, some were ABOVE my lash line). Ugh! But wait for it.. My experience at the end of the whole process was what made me decide to give this place one star. She practically ripped off the tape under my eyes. Seriously? Lady, have you ever ripped off a bandage on healing skin? Then, to top it off, I suppose my bottom lashes got stuck to the glue since she practically pried and pulled them off. I bought a groupon for this place and finally decided to give last extensions a try. The reviews seemed good and everyone seemed to rave about the good treatment so I decided to try them out. I called made an appointment with ease and went in for my appointment. I got the 70 lashes since it was my first time I just wanted to see what the hype was all about. I walk in and I was greeted by the staff and then taken in a separate room for my lashes. The technician was very nice and gentle I fell asleep and woke up during the end of my session. When I was done I went to the mirror to see what all the fuss was about and I saw fuller lashes with a nice curl on the end. They looked really nice. I tipped my tech and left and the ladies were very nice and friendly. So why the two??? The lashes just didn't last. Immediately upon leaving every time I felt I moved my lids I lost a lash. Not being able to wash my face was another pain in the butt but I followed the instructions they gave me on a card... It didn't work the lashes just kept falling until they were almost gone... My first time getting lash extensions here was with Angelika over two months ago, and she did an amazing job! The lashes themselves stayed on for a very long time - they only recently started getting a bit ragged after 7-8 weeks... lashes done at most other places will start falling out after maybe 2-3 weeks. I went back for the second time today and asked for the same exact thing as before, knowing I'll be set and happy for at least another month or two. The facilities are beautiful, the rooms/beds are super comfortable (I'm sure I fell asleep at least a couple of times), the girls that work there are 10/10 friendly and professional. Prices are definitely fair for the quality of work - bring cash if you want a bit if a discount. However, in the morning on 10/31, I had at least 20 lashes came off. I was shocked and called them to ask. They were nice, offering to fix the lashes for free, so I came back on 10/31. Kate told me C-curl was too heavy for my eye lash, so she would use B-curl this time. After then, my eye lash looked great again. But the good looking didn't last more than a week. While I feel like this will probably end up being my place, I am going to check out a few other locations...mostly because I'd like to try a mink look which they don't appear to offer. Got my lashes done here she did a great job working hours to remove an old set I had and then applying a natural set. I would like to come back for more of the glam style look 2D wasn't full enough for what I wanted. 2D with cashmere is what I got which is fluffy and very natural roughly $200 a set. All in all this is a cute quiet studio and the woman who did my lashes was very kind and sweet. The process is kind of slow takes 2 hours on average more if you have my situation (disaster old set) or need a new set but you will leave with a clean set of lashes. I will be back! read more

The best decision I made was to get my eyebrows done. Maiia is AMAZING at what she does. Before starting, she carefully explained the process so I knew what to expect and designed what the brows would look like. The process was not as painful as I thought it would be, and was better during the second part with the numbing cream (I think I dozed off at one point). I came here back in May for volume lashes and loved them albeit being too dramatic for me (looked good but not my preference for my face) and decided I would try to come back for a new set of 90 pc synthetic mink. My lashes look great and I received a good deal, however I was a bit frustrated. I have vertigo which sucks for me and I get my lashes done regularly and asking for an extra pillow or a little elevation for my head hasn't been an issue. Today I was told to just move my head up because it would be uncomfortable for the tech (no worry that I would feel sick if I was too flat). My lashes look wonderful but I would've appreciated a little bit more of a solutions oriented response where we could have made a compromise so I wasn't feeling dizzy and the tech could apply my lashes well. I understand they need to see my lashes at a good angle but this hasn't been an issue anywhere else and I spend quite a bit of money getting my lashes done on a regular basis I did have my ID with me the first time I came in, and wasn't asked to take it out and was charged full price so when I emailed I was told I could use it the next time I came in. I've never had my lashes done before and they were a great introduction. if you're gentle in the shower (don't have the water beating on your face), wash gently, use an oil free remover, avoid steam rooms and follow the rest of their instructions, you'll get a good two-three weeks. I've liked all the girls i've seen and the application process is quite relaxing. i've been complimented on my lashes numerous times since. it is an expensive addiction, but i like that they have a frequent customer card and encourage paying cash (though they take credit too). first time customers get a great introductory price AND you can book online. read more

UPDATE: BUYER BEWARE! I had been going here for months with only good experiences, then they decided to change the glue they use and not mention it. For some unknown reason, it made my eyes puff up and get extremely itchy. I had an allergic reaction to their new glue. When I called them to tell them, they said I should have let them know I had an allergy. Uh...excuse me? I haven't had this happen in the many months (many hundreds of dollars later) I've been coming here. They did NOTHING to rectify the situation; I requested a refund since there is nothing I could have done to have prevented this from happening but they on the other hand could have made me aware of the change and let me know if I react to it then I'm on my own. They acted like they were doing me a huge favor by not charging me to remove the lashes. Unless you want to gamble your money each time you go, find a place that has better customer service. Apparently it's common for people to have allergic reactions, so wherever you go ask what their policy is on this. I switched to Bling Lash after going ti iLash for a while since it's more conveniently located for me, but after getting an allergic reaction they offered to pay any related medical bills and reapply the lashes at a later date with the allergy-sensitive glue. The receptionist and Kate/technician who actually gave me a new, wonderful look helped me to pick my length, curl and thickness. Painful. Eyes are swollen. Lashes do not look natural. She didn't ask me what shape I preferred and assumed everyone wants cat eye lashes. Technician probably had a cigarette break right before working on me so I smelled it off her fingers and mouth during the hour session. Pillow was extremely uncomfortable- had a neck cramp after the hour session. They also put masking tape right under your eyes and rip it off after- is that normal?!?! It was SO painful I started tearing and wondering WTF was going on..... I also noticed that the reason I am (still) in pain is because she glued a lot of the lashes in my inner waterline so I wake up every morning with pink and irritated eyes. Also, when I was putting my tip in the envelope, the technician stood next to me and watched me....needless to say I felt very uncomfortable and awkward and I WONT be back. But more importantly, I'm still in pain. And I think I will be for the next 3 weeks til these fall off. Oh and I look like a drag queen and work in a corporate office- sigh. :( Just an overall bad experience . When I first got them done, my friends were asking what kind of vitamins I'm taking to get to my lashes to grow so long. For me the lashes last about 3-4 weeks and my first lash does not fall off until like a week later (and that's with me even putting mascara on them on the weekends). Salon - The whole experience from walking into the salon to laying down to get the extensions on to listening to the peaceful music in the background is so pleasant and calming. I actually look forward to the sessions. There would be times where I would just fall asleep during the session because of how calming the ILASH environment is. so it's been a week since ive had my lashes done . me and my sister brought a groupon .. it was our first time . I was late not because of me lol , but that's another story . when we finally found parking ( which sucks but if you get there a little early on a sunday you should be fine ) .. I was really satisfied with the eyelashes that I got done here. I bought a groupon to try eyelash extensions, as I've never gotten them done before. I came here and even though I was a little bit late, the ladies here were very understanding and still accepted my appointment. I honestly had no clue has to how to choose which eyelash would be best for me, but they helped me pick the length, curl, and volume. I got the 70-eyelash set on both eyes just to start. After I picked my eyelashes, I went to the room where they do the actual lashes. They had a bunch of reclined seats--more like beds--where you lay down and relax while the specialist does your lashes. The lady who did my lashes was very gentle and I started dozing off during my treatment actually! But it was overall a very relaxing experience. I was nervous to see what the lashes would look like but was so happy with the final product! They looked so natural and better than what I was expecting. It's over two weeks and I'm overdue to get a refill, which I plan to do very soon. I'm so late partially because a lot of my lashes have stayed on--at least half of them! Today was my first time ever getting lash extensions, and getting them done at iLash. I chose iLash not only bc of the Groupon deal, but also bc of the reviews online; so, I decided to write one myself. I was skeptical at first at which location I was going to choose, but this place got a pretty good rating and comments. I called in advance to schedule an appointment for the next day. The lady that attended me was named Sasha. Sasha showed me the different kinds of curly lashes and lengths, and kindly helped me choose since I was having difficulty bc of it was my first time. She informed me that I would not be charged extra for whatever option I chose. As soon as I was ready, I was brought to another room to begin the process. I laid on a pretty comfy bed, and was even given a fleece blanket to keep me warm. The process took approximately 1 hour. It was nearly impossible not to fall asleep, especially with the soft music playing in the background. I felt like Sasha took her time, and was very precise. I feared I would get glue in my eye or feel pain/discomfort, but Sasha was absolutely gentle and perfect. After the seeing myself in the mirror, I immediately was satisfied with my new doll look. There was no glue residue or weak lashes.. just beautifully perfect long lashes! She deliberately explained to me how to maintain the lashes. Terrible customer service and incompetent staff. I adore Kate but it's too aggravating dealing with the disorganized and rude receptionist. I tried calling the manager several times to let her know the situation and never got a return call. Moving on because life's too short to spend money at an establishment that doesn't know how to treat customers. I've heard great things about Emily at J Sisters so I may give her a try. I will not be going back to iLash. My lashes looked ok when she finished them and they lasted a long time. Too long actually. After 2 weeks they were curling at odd angles, sticking up, or sticking out to the side. I tried brushing them and smoothing them down but nothing worked. They were uncomfortable and I was wishing they would fall off but now my natural lashes are severely damaged! I have had lashes at other places and this didn't happen. I still have a few attached that I had to cut to match my other lashes because it looks so odd just having one or two long lashes. Some of my lower lashes came out when she pulled the tape off. At the end she was removing glue or something and it was extremely painful. Also, the music is horrible. read more
