I've always had a small belly, no matter how skinny I was or how much I exercised. My brothers always made fun of me for it! This is my second review because the owner, had my first review removed. My first appointment at IE Sculpting was on January 14, 2023, I was 2 weeks and 2 days post liposuction with J Plasma skin tightening to my abdomen, love handles, and flanks. I completed a total of 4 treatments with the owner, Maggie. The treatments involved a few minutes of hands on massage with oil application to start, followed by about 30 minutes of ultrasonic cavitation, she then applied cups using a manual vacuum pressure device (cupping), at the end of the treatment she performed a few minutes of hands on massage, and offered 20-30 minutes inside a infrared sauna. Initial, I was skeptical about cavitation, especially since I was only 2 weeks post op. Maggie explained to me that she herself had cosmetic surgery and had a traumatizing experience post op and as a result decided to start her business to help others. She assured me that cavitation was appropriate for post op care and was equally to, if not "more powerful" than manual lymphatic drain massage. So I agreed to the treatment. The first 2 treatments were performed on my abdomen, the 3rd treatment was performed on my whole back, she didn't touch my abdomen at all during the 3rd session; which I was confused about because I had very little lipo done to my back (only my flanks). The 4th treatment was performed on my abdomen. After the 3rd treatment I started to notice that the areas of my abdomen were becoming more firm and I was beginning to have redundant skin on my lower abdomen with dilated pores, it looked like orange peel. I was also noticing that some of the areas that Maggie performed cupping were very painful, tender, and swollen. My intuition was telling me that something was not right, so I started to do my own research about ultrasonic cavitation. Nothing I found supported cavitation for post lipo care. Actually most credible sources advised against it for a minimum of 12 weeks post lipo. Maggie had to take a short leave for medical reasons, so I booked my 5th session with another staff member. I express my concerns about cavitation with the other staff member, who is actually a licensed massage therapist with education, training, & certified in manual lymphatic drain massage. She confirmed all of my suspicions and validated my concerns. During the 5 session the other staff member did not use the cavitation machine, per my request and performed manual lymphatic drain massage. Immediately after I saw an improvement. I completed my 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, & 10th with the other staff member (NOT using the cavitation machine) all within a week and let me tell you! Everything started to soften up! The other staff member has since left IE Sculpting and as a result I requested a refund for my remaining 2 session (I purchased a 12 session package), which Maggie agreed to. At my 1 month follow up appointment with my double board certified plastic surgeon, he told me cavitation is NOT post op care and to stop doing it. With all this said, Maggie is not a licensed massage therapist, she is not formally educated or trained in manual lymphatic drain massage. Be aware! There is no federal certification, national board or other national licensure requirements to be a body contouring professional and/or operate and deliver non-invasive body contouring service. Anyone can buy an ultrasonic cavitation device and be trained by the manufacturer BUT there is no actual certification or license needed to own and use a cavitation device. Be aware! Cavitation is not post op care. Cavitation is not the same as manual lymphatic drain massage. If you want the best post op care go to a licensed massage therapist who is educated and certified in manual lymphatic drain massage. read more

I started seeing Maggie Preston back in April after my surgery. I was referred by my doctor's office for post op massages. I had breast augmentation and fat transfer to my hips and butt. I met her and she was very friendly and concern about where I needed work on to get my body back to normal. I started to go to Maggie in 2022. I was so happy that she was helping me love my body again. She was always so professional, energetic, and always willing to help with my body issues. I had told her about my breast surgery and how I didn't like looking at my breast since I had terrible scars. This was caused by me being allergic to the sterile tape that was used after my surgery. I had gone through two surgeries to try to fix the scarring from the first surgery. I even had a laser done to the scar. IT still looked so bad. My body did not like what was being done to it at all. So, when Maggie and I were talking about it. She had mentioned inkless tattooing. I was willing to give this procedure a shot. I was like why not, let's do it! The pain was NOTHING!! I almost fell asleep. AND yet again I was not at all surprised by the results that Maggie was giving me. At first the redness was pretty red the first day. I had lipo 360 with BBL done in August of 2021. I waited years to have this procedure done with an extremely reputable surgeon in Beverly Hills. I was very happy with my results for a long time. Over time I began to notice things I was disliking not because of anything my surgeon had done but just because of my own body.
