After being placed in the room, I continued waiting well past my scheduled appointment time with absolutely no communication from the staff. No one came in to apologize for the delay or let me know they were running behind. Once I was about 15 minutes past my appointment time, I decided I was going to leave. Only then did someone come into the room. I explained that my frustration wasn't simply about waiting--it was the complete lack of communication. My time is just as valuable as theirs. Had someone simply told me they were running behind, I could have made an informed decision to wait or reschedule. Instead, I was left sitting there wondering what was going on. The response I received was simply, "We'll get you going now," and I was handed a phone so someone on a video call could complete my intake and medical history. As a first-time patient who was already nervous about my appointment, this felt incredibly impersonal. Instead of meeting with someone in person, I was expected to discuss my medical history with a stranger on a screen while another staff member stood in the room. At that point, I realized this simply wasn't the experience I was looking for. I politely explained that this level of care felt impersonal and that this wasn't the right clinic for me. I left feeling confused, frustrated, and honestly disappointed. Whatever happened to making patients feel welcomed, valued, and cared for--especially during a first visit? I'm a 65-year-old woman who was ready for a big transformation -- not to look like someone else, but to feel like myself again. I started by interviewing several surgeons because I was planning to have a lot done and I wanted it to look natural. Many had great reviews and seemed capable, but Dr. Kim stood out from the very beginning. She was thoughtful, thorough, and so knowledgeable. My first consult with her lasted about an hour, and the second one went for two full hours. She took tons of notes on everything I said. I remember walking out thinking, She's the one. So, what did I have done? Quite a bit! I had a face, neck, and brow lift; fat grafting (used as filler in my facial area); lower eyelid blepharoplasty; and perioral dermabrasion on my upper lip. I was under anesthesia for around 8.5 hours. From pre-op to post-op, the process was easy to follow and honestly kind of seamless. I've had zero complications -- none. Now I'm two months out, and I feel fabulous. I think I look refreshed and natural -- not overdone at all. My scars are already fading, and I'd say I look 10 to 15 years younger.
