The parking lot looks tiny, but don't be fooled, there's plenty of room. Once inside, you'll meet a bunch of friendly folks. Will Call was a breeze & the barkeep gets three cheers-- good drinks, a joke or two and a tapas plate of cheeses, fruit and chiros. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Great set on a raised stage + excellent sound system for us old geezers. Audience were a mix of young and old. If you pass the box office and go right and head outside you will see a lovely courtyard where you can buy drinks and snacks. But please note, water is the only drink you're allowed to take inside the theatre.! Inside the theater, the seats were ok, but you can't expect extra comfort since I'm sure they can only do so much to improve due to its historic status. I even thought the bathroom signs were cute lol! I highly recommend checking out the theater if you are in town!

My daughters really liked the shiny and flashy costumes and clothing changes. Most of the how is both Gracie and Lacy, but they do a few solos as well. I was not expecting that and how they tie all the pieces together with the theme was genius. Another surprise was the tap dancing that was part of the show. It flowed very well and they sounded great! The show was from 7-9pm with an opening act that lasted about 15 minutes. They also highlighted a local young act for one song in the middle of their program.

I was amazed at the cast of FOUR and their ability to play over 130 characters and do it so artfully. The play itself was a riot, on many occasion we were laughing out loud. It was a very fast moving play so you had to pay attention but that wasn't difficult. The theater itself is very quaint. During intermission we got lucky and got to watch a young boy, who was there to watch the show, serenade everyone on the piano. We didn't arrive early enough to get drinks before the show but they allow drinks in the theater so we ordered a couple of glasses of wine and enjoyed them during the second half of the show. I had such a good time that I tried convincing my husband to go back later that week and watch the show with me again! I look forward to returning for more shows!

It is an intimate spot offering true theatre experience with what most would feel a more eclectic choice of plays. I can't tell you how excited I am that we found them. They abut some of the MUSC buildings, which allows the theatre to rent spots so you can park. While the parking is free, they do have a $5.00 donation jar to help offset the cost. We happily donated because it is soooo convenient. The theatre has a small bar offering beer, wine, and gourmet popcorn choices. Thankfully no one chomped popcorn on this night. I do feel it is not necessary at a stage production. If you enjoy live theatre please add this to you list of spots to keep an eye on!

Beautiful classical theatre in the heart of downtown!…read more I dragged my husband out to the musical Elf this past Sunday. Surprisingly he obliged with minimal grumbling (even for not being into shows, missing the Steeler game, AND it being a work night...double whoa)! The theatre is smaller than the ones I'm used to back home, but it made the experience seem that much more personal. There's a beautiful outside area that's open to the public, making it a perfect venue for the warmer winter nights! The only reason I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 is because the seats are a little tough to withstand for 2+ hours (however, typical of most classical art venues I've been to). Overall we had a great experience and I would highly recommend attending a show here!
