The reason why I didn't give it a five is because it doesn't have the most room but besides that everything I personally love. I would definetely recomend you to go there for Jummah prayer and prayer times. There Eid salah's are so nice. They rent out this place in rock creek park and it is so nice to pray outdoors with the beautiful weather and the nice environment. I love prayer all around Allah's creations and listening to birds while praying all around you is trees and green. I love so many uncountable things about First Hijrah! As I am very proud to be a daughter of someone who had worked in the board group for years. They have just now purchased a new mosque down in Adelphi, Maryland. I Went in because I had a condition that needed immediate action. Despite of registering and having…read moreto wait for an appointment while still in pain,i didn't think that it would get any worse. To my surprise, visiting the doctor and while she is asking you questions, she goes straight to google just to define four you what the problem would be! ( I could have saved my time and google it for my self at home). As if that is not enough, I was ordered to take a lot of tests that were unnecessary which costed around $ 400, on which the tests couldn't be done on the same day so I had to make an appointment to come in for tests on a different day! I went for the tests on a different day, and after a long wait, I was advised that some of the tests can not be done at that particular lab and so I had to make appointment at a different location on another different day! I did the tests anyway! Two weeks gone and I have to see the doctor for results reading!! Mind you, I wasn't given any medication to help me with the situation I had!! I get to the doctor and she says, she received partial results and some of the results were not in yet! Guess what, she ordered for other tests which costs even more and advises me to go back for a follow up after four weeks!!!! am still walking with my disease and no action taken.. Long story short, I think this is not the place for patients with minor issues, if its that serious better take yourself to the ER or another walk-in clinics. It will be little more costly but better that way than having to walk with your diseases the entire time because the situation could get worse anytime. Cheap is expensive!! Am not going back in again. going to get serious treatment somewhere else where they take people's health serious.

ISWA recently renovated their old facility on Briggs Chaney Road in Silver Spring. The mosque is now open and bright, with just enough room for a couple of hundred worshippers, which is right about the size of their community. When I lived in this community a few years ago, I was struck by the sense of openness and friendliness. Many Caribbean Muslims congregate here, but everyone is well-received. The imam, Faizul Khan, is not the most knowledgeable of men, but sees himself rather as the administrator in charge. The restroom facilities are clean, the prayer space is tidy, and the people who come here are engaging. The only drawback may be that parking is really inadequate; for Friday prayer, one will most likely need to park on their grass field. Hopefully it won't be raining.

I've seen people coming to mosque from all walks of life, Interestingly Refreshments are served almost always after any major event. I stop by here to pray whenever I'm in the immediate area, which isn't very often. Every time I've come, though, I've been received warmly and treated equally. While this is a clean and pretty mosque in which to pray, the community here is welcoming beyond what the surrounding NE DC is. They are a bright spot in an otherwise lackluster part of the city. The Sister Clara Muhammad school teaches children, and doesn't preach craziness to the young ones. Rather, the children in this community are raised to treat everyone with respect and good manners. I'm really happy with this. I would suggest that Masjid Muhammad's Board be even more involved than they are in interfaith programs and hold more open houses. This would take the community to the next level.
