    This is for the UPS Store near Ft Meade at 2657 Annapolis Rd…read more Performed an estimate online and cost was $14. Went in the store and the shipping cost was $33 dollars. Asked why the cost difference? Michelle stated they round sizes up and that UPS stores are individually owned and charge different rates. So my 48 inch box that measured 48 and 1/8 was estimated up to 49 inches costing double what it should. *****Advice: go online, put in the exact measurement, avoid getting ripped off by individually owned stores. Even went on the individual owned store web page estimator and it was $27 - $6 dollars less then what I paid. Something is wrong here!

Long story short...I shipped a few items from the airport that couldn't be checked or taken as a carry on. I shipped it to my home address right before our flight. I received a confirmation email as usual and the rest was up to UPS. A few weeks later, my mother-in-law asked about the package. I completely forgot about it having such a busy work schedule after returning from vacation. I pulled up my confirmation email (the only email) and the tracking message said it was on its way back to BWI. Out of frustration I called customer service. Customer service said it was being returned because "I refused the package." I was confused because I was never notified it was delivered or received a sticker on my door saying an attempt was made to deliver. I made this call back and forth at least 4 times for 20 plus minutes each time. I would tell customer service "why would I refuse a package I sent to myself?" UPS customer service was no help at all and verbalized it would in the hands of the actual store location. I called BWI and frustration was shared. One of the supervisors (Ashley) was absolutely AMAZING!! She was empathetic, she verbalized she would talk to her manager, she communicated she would try everything she could to rectify the situation. The biggest thing for me is customer service! It always has been coming from a retail background. Ashley executed her duties and made sure it ended in close loop communication with the customer! Absolutely incredible! She made the "customer experience." The situation was finally rectified and my package arrived a few days later. Ashely had such an impact on me as a customer that I will continue to trust my future shipping needs as before with UPS! Thank you Ashley!
