Erin had scouted the location ahead of time, so she had a great sense of purpose and was really creative and flexible in her shots; she was especially interested in what we wanted and in getting the right "feel" for our family. They were also excellent with the small (and not always cooperative!) children in our group. In addition, Erin was super communicative ahead of time and had great suggestions for our pre-shoot questions (wardrobe, locations, etc.). Of course, best of all, the pictures were amazing! Had we been aware of this, we would have booked our session for a later date as Covid has caused us to be under-employed and finances are tight. We explained this but it fell upon deaf ears. One would have thought that as a local business that they would extend the offer by a week or two. It would also be good practice to inform your clientele what will be happening during their visit with you. Our experience was more of a come here, sit there, go there. We had no idea what was coming next. It should also not be assumed that a client knows exactly what shot is being used in a yearbook. Explaining which shots are being used would have been really helpful and made the encounter less contentious. And, when your sales rep pulls up a picture and starts gushing over how beautiful your child is, please actually pull up the picture of my child, the actual child in the room with you, and not someone else's child. We were simply a number to them. The photographer was wonderful and captured beautiful shots. While it was not a pleasant experience (except with the photographer), we are hopeful that the pictures will be good. I hope that they make changes to improve the customer experience.
