The incident that brought this about happened on January 4, 2012, when I pointed out that the preschool's homepage listed some information that was incorrect. Rather than apologizing for the mistake, the director of the preschool treated me an incredibly disrespectful way. The way I was treated and the director's attitude were unacceptable, so my husband and I requested a meeting with the owners of the school. The meeting was shocking. The owners did not see the situation objectively. They sat there, not taking a single note about what we said. It became clear that the director had not told the truth about the situation to the owners. When we disputed what the director had said, the owners even yelled at us. Rather than seeking to hear my version of what happened, the owners had simply decided to believe what the preschool director said - even though it was obvious that I had no reason to make up a story to cause trouble at my child's school. The owners strongly encouraged us to leave the preschool. The arrogance of the owners surprised us. We concluded that they just did not want "annoying parents" at their daycare center. We decided that the preschool was no longer a safe place for our child. Our expectations of our children's preschool and teachers are not too high. In fact, we had been happy about each of the four preschools our children experienced before Bright Beginnings. We expect our children's teachers and school administrators to be "good people". They should be honest and know to respect others regardless of their background. Unfortunately, the teachers, administrators, and owners of this school do not even meet such minimal expectations. Overall, the teachers at this preschool are ok, not fantastic. One of the preschool teachers does not even have a college degree. We would say this school is overpriced and, with the director and owners that we experienced, we would never recommend this daycare center to anyone.

He ended up having very severe asthma and needed treatments multiple times a day. Unfortunately it was not possible for me to quit my job and stay with him. The owners, Hollie and Jason (who, in my opinion, always seem to go above and beyond to make the children and families feel comfortable), had every teacher in the ENTIRE school learn about his type of atypical asthma and how to properly administer his medication throughout the day. They never acted like my daily call to check in on him was a problem or an inconvenience. My boys are now 8 and attend camp at primrose for the last year (they're ready for a big kid camp next year). They have a great time. The teachers are fun and treat them well (my children love their main teacher Ms. Tori). I never worry about my boys when they are there. I know they are being very well cared for. How huge is that for a parent?! Ms. Kristine is now the Parent Relations Director and you couldn't ask for a better person to interact with the parents. She is funny, friendly, competent and knows your child and his/her own unique personality. People have told me that they did not take their children to Primrose because they thought it was too expensive. It does cost a little more than other daycares in the area but it is much more than a daycare. It IS worth every dime you spend. As I read through my gushing review just now I want to make it clear that I have no affliation to Primrose or the employees there other than my children attend the school. Another words, Im not getting compensated in any way to leave this 5 star review. ;) I'm just a parent that wanted to leave an honest recommendation because I know how hard it is to find a reputable place to take care of your children when you can't. Went off of a recommendation from a friend...I was put into a situation where I needed daycare in a short amount of time and this facility had an opening so I enrolled him against my better judgement..My son went there for 3 days ..he was not taken care of properly. The first day...I picked him up...the teacher that had him was sitting in a chair while there were babies and toddlers running all over the place half dressed..dirty...crying...my son is 15 months old...so I guess they combine infants and toddlers at the end of the day so my son's teacher could leave...I got him home and changed his diaper...when I took him that morning..he was 100% fine...i got him home and changed him...he had a diaper rash so bad his butt was bleeding...had dried poop on his bottom and in the diaper...I contacted the director and told her what i found, she said she was sorry and would make sure he was cleaned properly...i was lied to about what he ate and how his day went...i was first told he didnt eat well...and when I picked him up the "teacher" said he ate really good and had a great day...I said...thats not what I was told earlier when I called to check on him. I also packed a blanket and fitted sheet for his cot that was never used the 3 days he was there...so..my son slept with no blanket or sheet...second day...his father picked him up...so..im not sure what state he was in..dad said he seemed ok...last day...i walked in...same teacher...my son was screaming his head off along with another child and they were both sitting at the table...my son had a cup of milk sitting in front of him...WHICH WASNT EVEN HIS CUP...other children were in bouncers...swings and exersaucers CRYING...2 BABIES were crawling on the floor CRYING and she was sitting in the same chair..i said why is he sitting in the table...her reply was...he had a bad day and was throwing a fit.......so. i got him out and said to her...thats not what i was told when i called. I was told he had a great day...he was not "throwing a fit" she needs to be fired. Who says that? .there was a younger girl working in the room with her...she didnt know who i was and thought i had another child at the center...same room and acted like she was going to get that child ready to leave with me!!! I told her that child was not mine....that blew my mind...I got my son home....immediately changed him...he had a huge bite mark on his thigh...i was livid. No one told me crap about what happened. My protocol when i was a teacher..was...when a child got bit..i called the parent...let them know it happened and filled out an incident report for them to sign and have a copy of. Called rosie...nobody knew jack crap about what happened...no incident report...nothing...the center is dirty...my son was dirty when i picked him up. Do not send your small children here. I took him out of this place. I am so disgusted with the way things were handled.

The teachers are awesome having to put up with some of the horrible kids that I've seen while picking up my own children. I always see some sort of cleaning going on. They are extremely nice and always wish myself and my kids a good night. You want to go to daycare know that there is a high possibility that your child will be hurt.... It's daycare! My child was only going part time in the pre-toddler room, 3 days a week, yet he was ALWAYS sick! And when I say "always" I mean just that. No, not just your typical cold and runny noses. My job required me to leave the state so I ended up in Ohio at this horrible place. I'm getting ahead of myself...my son was always sick because of the lack of cleaning going on in the facility. They can make the facility look clean in the sense of nothing out of place but the germs are living strong. I know there were various dinosaur toys in his room that were NOT being properly cleaned. I am use to dipping all the toys in hot sanitized water twice a day, during their nap and at the end of the day. None of this went on here. Also my son ALWAYS cried when I left him there, says a lot. Also one day his daily sheet read no wet diaper until 3pm that afternoon, I dropped him off at 8am everyday and I am thankful they didn't think ahead to lie on his sheet but how they thought only 1 wet diaper was acceptable in the hot summer is beyond me!! No drinks of water throughout the hot summer day and even if it weren't summer my kid and yours deserves unlimited amounts of clean, fresh and cold water. My poor child, thirsty all that time! The food is pretty limited too. He was ALWAYS hungry when I picked him up and he's an excellent eater! Also! I did a pop up on them and he was locked in an area in so much distress the teachers even looked at me like "uh oh, we're caught". The dry diapers were my last straw as with the croup illness he got and passed to his brother who didn't even go to the facility. My oldest son had a terrible breathing issue because of this croup he got from my youngest attending this dirty school! Do NOT send your child. We pick up our 20 month old with lunch from 4 hours prior on his face everyday. I ask why he's so…read moredirty, and get the response "I just got here". So clean him, do you not see he has food caked on his face? I was told by one of the workers they have not been taking good care of our son. They left him in the sun too long, and his cheeks are sunburnt. He had a completely different outfit than what we dropped him off in, even his shoes were changed. He had ANOTHER blowout. Strange, his blowouts are rare when he's home. I was told by one worker (the one that just got there) that he was either lactose intolerant or his diapers are defective. I was told by the other worker that the teacher doesn't tighten the diaper up enough. We told them to stop putting him in jackets on nice days unless he's cold in the classroom. When cleaning out the poopy clothes they packed up, there was another child's windbreaker covered in poop. And he had sticky gunk all over his belly and chest. (All of this was all in one day, although we pick him up with a dirty face everyday). We dropped off a large pack of diapers and wipes, and these were gone very quickly. I was told by a worker that the teacher was using them on other kids. It's all very strange. I was told the daycare is going downhill and is now trashy by one of the workers. The people they hire keep the children alive, but they aren't given the attention and care needed to thrive. Two seconds in the car and I decided our son is never going back to this place. He'll be starting back up at Luv Bugs in Centerville, Indiana where we know he's safe. We have tried calling the daycare to talk to the owner about why he will not be returning, but she's never there anymore (quoted by a worker). I cannot express the level of distrust, anger and betrayal we are feeling about this place. Please note I was told this place was VERY nice 2 years ago, but has changed dramatically. There are not enough good staff to take care of your children.
