I've been to Imbali Spa before, but this was my first visit at their new location--and I absolutely loved it! The new space is larger but still feels very intimate, with individual rooms that make it quiet and relaxing. They did an amazing job with the design and decor--it's beautiful, calming, and instantly puts you at ease. I was greeted right away by the owner, who was very sweet and welcoming. He walked me back to the sitting area where I waited for my massage with Mary. When Mary came to get me, she was warm and professional and took time to confirm the type of massage and any specific pressure points to focus on. The massage itself was amazing. The table was warm and comfortable, which felt especially perfect on a cold, rainy Saturday. Overall, everything was wonderful from start to finish. My friend booked up a facial as part of our girls weekend! Stepping in, you definitely felt like you were being transported to relaxing experience. We were greeted and provided a private sitting room, where we were offered coffee, tea and water. The facial itself was an amazing experience. I am pretty sure I fell asleep! My face felt amazing after and even though we were out and about shopping, I did not feel the need to put on makeup, I was naturally glowing! First time visiting this place. We have lived in Ellijay for 6 years and have seen the shop downtown when we go to have lunch or grab a coffee but never really paid attention to what it was. I was on line searching for a place near me to get a deep tissue massage. Was originally considering a place up in Blue Ridge that I had heard of but after looking at all the reviews on line of my option this place seemed to have the best reviews so I decided to give it a try. It had nothing but great reviews and after my visit I see why. Had an outstanding Deep Tissue Massage by Mary. She did an excellent job on my massage, especially in the areas of the back and neck that were really bothering me. While on a recent vacation in Georgia, I came across an Instagram ad for Spinal Flow. I'm pretty versed in alternative healing techniques but had not heard of this one so I HAD to try! The closest practitioner was in Ellijay, GA, so I made an appointment with her. This appointment was well worth the 2+ hours travel... I had a massage. There was a little hiccup, but Glenda immediately resolved the matter. After my massage, I worked with Glenda for my Spinal Flow session. During my assessment, I shared with her that I was a survivor of narcissistic abuse; if you have ever experienced this type of abuse, you'll understand how deeply the body is affected. The trauma runs VERY deep. Glenda had an understanding of this type of abuse, and was extremely compassionate while working with me, not solely in Spinal Flow application, but in her approach to my wounding. She was exceptionally kind and gentle. The session brought a dramatic relief to my nervous system; I have been in fight or flight for so long that my body melted into the table. In the days following the session, I felt lighter. Happier even. I wish I was closer (I live in Florida) so that I could engage in regular sessions. I'll have to find a practitioner near me, but anytime I visit Georgia again, I'll be stopping by Imabli!! read more

My girls and I came to Elijay this past weekend for my bachelorette weekend and Imbali was an amazing stop for us! We booked in advance for myself and 3 friends were welcomed with mimosas and some delicious snacks (muffins, cheese and crackers, fruit). So why not book that after a few glasses of wine while you are enjoying a relaxing weekend. First of all, even their lobby is relaxing and made me want to want to buy some of their soothing devices and lotions. The staff were amazing and extremely friendly. And the rooms were very soothing. This was one of the best massages I have ever had. The perfect amount of pressure. And communication was open throughout for the whole massage. Everyone here was just so friendly. I pulled up about 20min for my appointment but couldn't find the building, when I called I spoke to a very helpful and kind lady that made sure I knew where to go. Arrived and was told a female would do my appointment which I strongly preferred but then it ended up being a male (I forget his name.) The nice lady that answers the phones assured me that he was great after I explained my several experiences with male therapists and my back herniations. I went along and am so happy I did! Of course he was friendly but he also put me at ease and even better I wasn't hurting at all. He was attentive and communicated. Cortney's deep-tissue massage was FANTASTIC & my gf said Tyler's therapeutic massage was AMAZING! Believe they have now have an acupuncturist on-site in addition to the esthetician. My Husband and I were gifted a massage for the two of us for our anniversary. My husband's massage therapist was Courtney and mine was Tyler. We were both happy with the quality and professionalism of both therapist. The only thing that I was sadly disappointed with was the smell of nicotine (cigarette smoke). Once I rolled over from my stomach to my back I was hit by the smell of nicotine. My husband had the same complaint. The smell took away the relaxing effect of the massage and I was unable to relax again. So my suggestion to Courtney and Tyler would to be either give up smoking or come up with a better way of covering the smell of nicotine. They would have received a 5 star from us, but the nicotine smell knocked them down to a 4 star. read more

I'm a single mom and work six days a week exhausted and came here on my only day off in dire need a me time and muscle relief. LYRIC has magic hands or something! She was so sweet and caring and attentive to the areas I specified in paperwork. I goof DEEP TISSUE and her pressure was PERFECT! Strong hands and I could literally feel the knots coming out in my shoulders and she did her thing! When she got to my lower back she massaged around my sciatic nerves and for the first time in a long time my cold toes on my left foot that often times are very numb I'm standing at work felt like they were having a warm hug! Lol, honestly I feel better circulation and sensitivity in my toes since I've seen her just from massaging around the nerves that run down the leg.
