I had not been to a dentist for a cleaning or other upkeep in 18 years. When I called in they made it a seamless process to get in and be seen as soon as possible. The wait time was not long and the cleaning and x rays where thorough. It turns out I needed two root canals and as this was difficult to book just a couple days before Christmas I held my breath. However, they immediately made a call and got me into a specialist withing 3 days. Highly pleased with there effort and attention to detail. Ok, came here the previous year as I needed an Emergency extraction and another tooth that needed a filling, needed a lot of work but that was for the future. The infection in my tooth is more important right now. The "dentist", has to do a cleaning first as I requested that to really make sure what was wrong. Long story short, I waited a week or so to come back to have the tooth removed(even had to take additional medications (preexisting condition) and discontinue another in order to have the extraction), due to the fact that it could lead to issues for me down the line. I do as stated, came in on my scheduled appt, first thing off the bat was being told that an extra item the "dentist" wanted was not covered after being told it was. Bone graft. I explained my concerns(especially after being told it was covered) and opted not to get the bone graft as I needed to speak with my Cardiologist before I consent but if anything pull the tooth out! This conversation was with the front office receptionist mind you, she repeatedly had to go to the back amd forth and talk to the "dentist" to get info I was requesting. During my time with the cleaning, the dentist left twice to go assist another patient with another technician. So at one point I had the cleaning tools hanging out of my mouth with no one around.... yeah. When you're desperate right? Digressing, the receptionist returns and tell me that I am being referred out to a specialist as the "dentist" does not want to perform my extraction anymore due to concerns. If there had been concerns before that could prevent the procedure why was I not notified until day of procedure when I've already had to take medicines and stop others? After talking to even my insurance they explained to me(at least the associate I dealt with) that I made the right choice if I did not feel comfortable with their services. Needless to say I have not gone back! Found an Amazing Dentist right down the street and around the corner(check my reviews and you'll see it). Absolutely redeemed all the past dental issues I've had and redeemed a lot of dentist out there. He's a bit on thr higher end of pricing but it's been all worh it! Especially for my partial I needed. Once he saw the tooth/infection in question, he immediately told me "I don't care if you get the bridge, that tooth is coming out today!" I've had multiple visits to rectify the other issues. So... I unfortunately DO NOT recommend this location. I know people who have had a good experience here(I've asked them to rethink and scrutinize services recieved), but in all honesty. In this day and age, if you can't meet your clients face to face especially when you have left said client to handle other clients before, can't give compelling evidence for necessity of procedure/service, and then to leave them hanging when they're truly in need? Bad service, lack of compassion, lack of knowledge from the staff and just an overall bad vibe from this place. Hope your dental issues get rectified sooner then later. read more

Wow! Love, love, love this dentist! I finally have to write a review for Dr. David after 10 years of seeing her. She has always been very thorough, upfront and honest. She is very gentle (and I really don't like going to the dentist). I have come to really trust her. She has had to refer me to three other professionals and I have loved them all. Her office staff is wonderful. There is no turn-over like you see in other offices. They really make you feel welcome and comfortable. I'm writing this now because I was initially unhappy to hear that her dental office was changing locations..... until I went to her new office. First of all, it was very convenient and easy to get to, secondly, there is plenty of parking!!! But most importantly, the new office is so nice. It's beautiful, bright and very pleasant! I have to start off by saying the staff is so friendly and easy to talk to. I had my exam and x-rays done which they made so easy. Dr. David explained my options and made it very clear and simple to understand. Kind of felt like I was talking to a friend even though we just met. As for my cleaning, it was the easiest I've ever experienced. She kept checking in on me to make sure I was fine and talked to me about how to better take care of my teeth. My family and I and several friends and their families have been patients of Dr. David since she started practicing as a dentist at a dental clinic in Chula Vista over 10 years ago. Then she started her own practice at this current location. We have been very lucky to have her as our dentist. Dr. David and her staff provide excellent professional service. She communicates with her patients in a honest manner and she is very knowledgeable. She keeps up with current abd advance dental treatments and procedures. She has a very good rapport with her patients. I hope she does not retire soon as i will be lost as far as my dental hygiene is concerned. Amazing find as I drove by this new dental office located at 2449 E. Plaza Blvd. Went for my first appointment and felt very comfortable with the front office Staff Sandra, X-ray tech Magdalena and hygenist Winnie. All professional, very polite, and friendly. Dr. Imelda was extremely honest and detailed in her explanations of my dental needs. Felt at ease all along that I was in good hands without having to worry about them doing any unnecessary procedures. Reasonably priced and definitely worth returning for follow-ups. For customer service, the staff and the dentist herself are very accommodating and will always make you feel appreciated. For actual dental work, Dr. David is very detailed and very meticulous about the procedure that she does. You can see that she really knows what she's doing. She does not overcharge. Dr. David and her staff are the absolute best!!! Coming from someone who absolutely hates the dentist, I must say that my views have completely changed after my experience here. Even though the office was busy because people were trying to fit in their appointments before the office closed for the new year, they told me to come in right away and they would help me. At the time, I was experiencing some excruciating pain in one of my teeth and I ended up needing a root canal. Due to their busy schedule, it would be impossible to complete the procedure that day but they called around and referred me to someone who could perform the root canal asap. On top of that, Dr. David and her staff came in the next day, a day in which they were actually closed, just to help me out financially. They came in on their day off, which was the 30th, to place a temporary cap on my root canal and place an order for the permanent one. Because they did this on December 30th of 2016, this cost was included in my max benefit for the year 2016. How generous and thoughtful is that?!?! This allowed me to keep the max benefit for the entire year of 2017 which will eventually save me a lot of money in the future. It meant a lot to me that anyone would come in on their day off to save their customers some money. They are not about the money. They are about helping people and I couldn't be any more thankful. If I could, I would give them 20 stars. read more
