This is an incredible experience especially for large groups, and definitely worth it. The puzzle we chose was slightly challenging, but brilliantly designed. I went there in a group of five and three of us were engineers, and yet we barely managed to finish it with a couple of minutes left on the clock. Played House Arrest (my 102nd room) with my boyfriend (his 44th room) on a whim. Mark was a fantastic host. The space is beautiful in the lobby and the rooms feel very real and immersive. This room isn't as linear, but we like linear and non-linear rooms just the same, as long as things make sense. This room is also a minimal tech room compared to many high-tech rooms I've played in Los Angeles (primarily) and they provided a fresh take on a minimal tech room that was a highly solid experience. The way they deliver clues in House Arrest is unique. I usually don't like computerized clue giving, but this one I enjoyed thoroughly. It fits the immersion very well. We parked in the back of the building and there is a door to access their location through the back. You can also park in the front, but you would have to go downstairs to the basement of the building. Lastly, we are from Los Angeles and the only other companies I've seen that tie in a common storyline throughout all of their rooms have been Arcane (in Newhall/Santa Clarita, CA), Evil Genius Escape Rooms (Ktown, LA, CA) & The Basement (Slymar, CA and Las Vegas, NV). This place does the same and you get to star as the central character in the story and it keeps you coming back for more. If I ever visit again, I'll be sure to come back here. Hubby and I came in for the 2 person escape room as a valentine's date and loved the experience! We've done a variety of escape rooms in NYC, CA, and here in C'ville and Immersion's had one of the best! Mark, one of the co-founders, was in LA for awhile working in "the industry" which was reflected in the quality of the room's overall design. We had a lot of fun and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a creative and different kind of date or group activity. It's nice that one of the rooms is designed for two people to escape in 30 minutes. It's a good way for those who haven't experienced an escape room yet to have a low cost/low commitment room to try it out! Bottom Line up Front: This is an awesome date night or group activity and my wife and I had a blast doing all four escape rooms. My wife and I had never done an Escape Room until about 2-months ago. On a whim, we decided to do the two person room, "A Nightly Reminder." It was a blast! Challenging, fun, and forced some great teamwork. And, if you are really struggling, you can always ask for a hint to help get you along. Plus, all of the rooms follow along a storyline (although, you can complete the rooms in any order). After this experience, we were hooked and convinced our friends to join us in the other three rooms. Below are quick glimpses at each room: A Nightly Reminder - 2 person room, small space, very dark, and a lot of neat Puzzles/Keys that we had never seen before. Great for couples or a date night. House Arrest - 2 to 8 person room, feels like you are in a studio APT, a really good first room for groups who have never done an escape room before. Plus, IMHO, the best ending of all four rooms (if you make it). 35th and Archer - 2 to 6 person room, feels like you are in a subway station, and a little more complicated compared to the other rooms. The Lion's Den - 2 to 8 person room, feels like you are in a person's private library. And where there is a library, there are books! Overall, we loved our first experience with this Escape Room location, and are happy we got to complete all four rooms. If you want a fun night, get out to this location, and bring some friends. My wife and I have experienced nearly forty escape rooms, mostly near Orlando, Florida, and Virginia. We've now done all three rooms at Immersion, and can say that it has our favorite rooms out of anything in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, and Staunton. So far, they're the best we've seen out of Virginia and Maryland. A Nightly Reminder is particularly unique; check that out if you're only two people. The Lion's Den is the next best, but if you can, do them all, in order. The connected story is well-done and a big plus! read more

The developers have a great eye for storytelling and for skill curve on puzzles and problem solving. My husband and I did "house arrest" for his birthday! We had so much fun! We did an escape the room in Manhattan and this room was SO MUCH better! The design of the room was amazing! It really looked like a real apartment. The staff was super nice and really kept up he atmosphere of the storyline. My husband and I are definitely coming back and bringing friends! CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!! We've done 30+ escape rooms over the years, and this is one of our top spots to go! Some escape rooms are sloppily put together, unoriginal in puzzles, and straight up a bore...but immersion escape is fantastic! The decor in each room is amazing, it really allows you to get in the mindset of the story unfolding. Puzzles are challenging, which is such a plus in escape rooms (we love the challenge-hate easy, unoriginal puzzles). Most of the escape rooms here aren't linear, meaning that there are numerous puzzles to work on at a time. That is great if you come with a large group, as everyone does not have to stare at one person working on a single puzzle. This is a well thought out escape room with a fantastic staff. We've done all but the lions den, but our favorite so far is 75th and archer. Make sure to check this place out if your in town! read more

I have done a lot of escape rooms, and this was by far my favorite. Started off with the 2 person one, which was by far the best I've ever been to. We ended up staying and doing all 3! The other 2 were a little more similar to previous ones I have done, but also great. Truly enjoyed that the stories of the rooms were linked together. The host was awesome. A friend and I really enjoyed the two-person Nightly Reminder escape room. The theming and puzzles were really well done and we really enjoyed being able to work together as a team. I loved that the room was completely dark except for the flashlight we were given. We chose this escape room because of the two-person limit and I wish more escape rooms had these smaller rooms! The staff was really friendly and gave us a hint that wasn't so obvious that it lead us to the solution, but steered us in the right direction. The puzzles were challenging and made us use our brains but not so challenging that we wanted to give up. Would definitely try out the other rooms in the future. read more

Definitely recommend! They had excellent customer service -- replied immediately to my email, gave me a discount I didn't know I qualified for, and opened a room outside of normal business hours for a small party without requiring a minimum number of players. The whole vibe of the place is very classy, with all furniture, props, lighting, music, etc. getting you in the mood for solving the mystery. We did Lion's Den, and again the room design was excellent. They really went all out with the amount of detail and authenticity. read more
