Upon my return from a funeral in Germany in the month of December 2013, I was told by Immigration Canada that my Permanent Residency (PR Card) Card had expired and that I could not leave Canada again without a current PR card. Since I had to fly back to Germany to settle the estate as quickly as possible I needed help trying to obtain the card before my flight in the first week of February. I called around and found sources but none could do it in the time the PR card was required. Then I remembered that a friend of mine had had a similar problem with an expired PR card. I contacted him and he referred me to the IMMIGROUP on Danforth Ave. in Toronto. My friend told me that his daughter had used their service and that she was impressed with their professional attitude and the speed in obtaining a new PR card. I called IMMIGROUP and explained my situation. They responded by arranging a meeting the very next day and informed me of "all" the paperwork that was required to arrange for a new PR card. The paperwork required was worrisome as I felt that I might have trouble getting everything ready for our upcoming meeting. The young Lady that I was speaking with suggested that I bring all the papers I had available and they would sort through it. I met with IMMIGROUP the next day and provided the information they had requested. My file was placed on "priority" as my new PR card was required before I could leave for Germany in early February. I was assured that everything in their power would be done to have my new PR card available in time. I still worried about the situation I was in as it often takes up to 6 month to get the renewal done. Here I was pushing for a new card in less than 4 weeks. Yesterday I received a call from IMMIGROUP confirming that my new PR card had been received in their office and they would make arrangements to send it out to me. I still can't believe how quickly and efficient IMMIGROUP had worked my file and a big "THANK YOU" goes out to them for a job well done. This has taken tons of worries of my shoulders. For future immigration or citizenship affairs I will always rely on the service provided by IMMIGROUP. Thanks again IMMIGROUP for helping when nobody else could. Bonnie Tyler who works for IMMIGroup is beyond wonderful! In dealing with the government there can be delays, no communication, and no where to go to get answers. The 1 800 line that the is given has people answering the calls that do not have access to your information so they cannot answer any of your questions, and that is after a LONG wait on the line. The first two times I submitted, did not heard back. The third time, I did and it was incomplete. They requested additional information, okay fine. Got that information, then they sent it back, and get this, requesting the same information??? Now when you have been doing this back and forth for years, it just becomes pain staking. I am a British Citizen living in Canada with PR. I have used Immigroup to renew my PR and apply for Citizenship. Immigroup is a company that helps one through all the mounting paperwork and forms, while correcting you along the way. However, their best feature is answering the telephone where live people (staff) are there to assist you when one calls for assistance. My wife and I both applied for Nexus on the same date but at our offices. I used Immigroup and paid over $225 for the "expedited" processing only to go home and find out my wife paid only $50. Come to find out Immigroup is borderline illegal which offers a service. Over $175 more than it should be and my wife got "conditionally approved" before me. DO NOT USE.
