As an avid thrifter, I'm always on the lookout for new spots, so I was really excited to check this…read moreplace out after a recommendation from a co-worker. Unfortunately, my experience was pretty disappointing. The prices were extremely high for a thrift store, especially compared to other locations I frequent. On top of that, many of the items I came across were in poor condition, which made the pricing even harder to justify. Customer service didn't help the experience either. I asked an employee for help with an item that didn't have a price, and he seemed bothered by the request. He went to check but took quite a while and never came back. As I was heading out, he finally returned and called me over only to tell me the price, which again, was far too high. Overall, I left without purchasing anything and don't see myself returning. I will say the store is fairly organized and located in a busy shopping center with plenty of parking, which is convenient. But unless you're okay with paying high prices, this probably isn't the place for you.

I used to love coming shopping here, but now the prices are crazy. The most Expensive thrift shop…read morearound. And every time I go back, I go and look for stuff for my kids and it's always all the same stuff there that has been sitting there for months. I love donating money to hospice, but it's become overpriced for me to shop there. So I will continue to go to all the other thrift stores in Encinitas, but not this one anymore. Total bummer.

I'm not someone who usually leaves bad reviews. I try to be understanding and remember that not…read moreeveryone is having their best day. However, this experience really crossed a line. I understand that the parking is for in-store customers only. But the moment I stepped out of my car, a woman came running out of the store and started yelling at me, saying the parking was for those businesses only. I hadn't even walked away from my vehicle yet, and she had no idea where I was going. For context, I'm a Type 1 diabetic, and my blood sugar suddenly dropped very low. In that moment, I urgently needed food or I risked being unsafe to drive. My boyfriend was with me, but he isn't insured on my car and doesn't know how to drive a manual--and she still insisted that I make him take my car. On top of that, it's not safe for me to be walking around alone when my blood sugar is that low. I calmly explained the situation and told her I just needed a quick snack and would be back in under five minutes. Despite that, she showed zero empathy and continued yelling. At that point, my priority was my health and safety. I also didn't feel comfortable leaving my car unattended given her aggressive behavior. I waited a few days to write this, but as a Type 1 diabetic, this situation was genuinely scary and upsetting. This happened Saturday in the late afternoon. Situations like this deserve more understanding and basic human compassion. Please do better.

Such great finds!!! I love shopping here - make sure. You have time to spare…read more Highly recommend!

I wouldn't consider this place a thrift store definitely more like a consignment store... you will…read morefind brands such as Zara, Anthropologie, Reformation etc.... it can get a bit pricey but you can find some cool things there and they do some blue/green stamps on some tags for extra discounts. I bought a shirt there. I had some tops I was hoping to get rid of it so I thought I would tried selling there. I should have known better, I've tried selling clothes at Plato's Closet, Flashback, Buffalo Exchange etc...and they never take my stuff. I don't know why and I promise I always made sure they were clean and in good condition. They were brands they listed they accepted on the site: Anthropologie and American Eagle...they didn't take any. The girls were super nice and I appreciated it. But it just always seemed wild to me that they take on brands such as Wild & Fable and A New Day...and my stuff isn't that super outdated again I don't know their process for selecting clothes because they do have curated pieces. In summary, for shopping it could be fun and you can find some stuff but not on a thrift price. However as for selling, unfortunately at this point now I've just never had a good experience selling clothes at these kind of places. If you want to sell clothes you will have better luck on Poshmark where I've sold clothes more easily. So this place can be fun for buying but for selling you might leave feeling frustrated and confused which is why I rated this place at 3 stars.
