On 5/27/22, I found a (Remington Universal Magazine Cap and Swivel - 870 1100 11-87 20 Ga) on their website; it shows (1) IN STOCK (WHICH MEANS THEY HAVE IT ONHAND). So I ordered it. Bait and Switch. Irresponsible business practices. Stay away. I ordered a Canik TTI Combat on 5/21/24 for $879.99 but it was back ordered, I was more than willing to wait. Yesterday, they emailed me that it's in stock but the new price is $1,039.39. This gun is available from plenty of other reputable brands, in stock today for $899.99. I emailed back requesting they honor the price, but they declined. Made me wait almost 2 months only to try to hook and crrok me for an additional $160. Online, I ordered a handgun from Impact Guns (pictures attached) for my wife's birthday. The gun was shipped to our local FFL. After we got the gun home we were disappointed because it was dirty and clearly fired more times than would be expected for the factory test. Furthermore, we'd expect that the factory would be very concerned about delivering their guns as clean as possible... I sent two emails to Impact Guns and got no response, so I finally called. The person who handled my call was very "dry/flat". I asked if they had received my emails which had pictures of the gun as we received it attached (see below). I was told that the gun was sent to me as it was received by Impact Guns from the manufacturer, but there was zero satisfaction from my perspective because there was no evidence that he checked anything while I was on the call and his answer seemed rehearsed and annoyed. He indicated that "colored" guns often had this problem. And he went on to suggest that I contact Smith and Wesson regarding the dirt/wear that according to the Impact Guns' representative was only caused by the factory test firing. I expressed that I understood, and expressed that I was not happy... The next day I decided to take the gun to a local gun store to obtain accessories for my wife and to solicit the opinion of their gunsmith as to whether or not the gun was used. My local gunsmith agreed that the gun had been fired more than he would expect for a factory test firing (but he assured me that 10,000 rounds hadn't been fired through it). But he pointed out wear on the mechanism under the slide. I told him that Impact Guns told me to call Smith and Wesson regarding the condition. My gunsmith just laughed, stating "they're not going to do anything"... My best guess is that this gun was actually a return or was tested on their range and therefore should have been listed on Impact Guns' website as open-box and the price should have reflected this fact. I typically like Impact Guns. But this location in particular is horrible. Been coming to this location for close to a year. Not going anymore. Literally will drive to salt lake to deal with professional salesmen. This location on several occasions, quotes inaccurate quotes of law. They're not lawyers. And the information they're giving is very poor interpretation of law. When I go into a gun store, I'm looking to purchase guns, not hear crappy interpretations of law. If they weren't jocking BATF wang, and maybe if their employees quit acting like lawyers I'll go back. Folks do your research, contact real lawyers or the BATF if you want to know something, don't rely on the high school graduate, or community college drop out who thinks they know the law. Been here a few times for accessories, overall it's an okay establishment. I'm sure the customer service would be "quicker and more engaging" if I was purchasing a weapon system from them but generally takes a while before someone comes up to the register. No real issues just takes longer than usual to checkout. Stock is decent and they have a nice selection of firearms. read more

While in store I was looking for a scope base for my rifle. The employee told me that if they have it on their website I would be able to order the item and if delivered to the store I could pick it up for free. I found my base online and chose "Free pickup in store" as opposed to paid delivery to my house. After placing the order I waited for 3 days where the status sat at awaiting fulfillment until I emailed them to ask them why it is not being fulfilled. I received an email the next morning saying "they need to verify information I provided on the account" upon calling them they told me they would not send it to the store unless I paid another $10. It has nothing to do with my provided information but rather the store wanting more money. They told me their option to send it to the store for free ended 8 months ago. Nothing on the website nor the employee's direction informed me of additional costs if they have to send it from their own warehouse to their store. If the company policy has changed the website should reflect that policy, it should also be completely transparent as to additional charges they will apply. If a shipping charge is required, I do not believe I should have been able to check out online. I also should not have had to wait until I contacted them to see why my order was not being processed. Even dealing with the manager on the phone was not pleasant, he should understand that people would be caught off guard and even feel taken advantage of in a situation like this. Instead of sympathizing with my situation, he was crude and even snapped at me. This is poor customer service and bad business and I feel Impact Gun will lose my business from here on out which is a shame because I bought my wife's handgun with them and I was looking at buying another handgun and rifle in the next two months. Poor business ethics, non transparent charges and lack of customer service. Do not do business with Impact Guns, they will let you down. read more

Had a great experience. We normally go to our gun store in Layton, but we needed amo, and to have my sisters gun checked out by a in smith. So we was told to stop by here. We did, and it was such an amazing experience. We really felt the love and customer service from everyone here. The gun smith was very friendly and nice and even looked at my sisters gun and fixed the sights for free, that meant a lot to us. It's not everyday someone fixes your gun for free. I really definitely be coming back to see him whenever I need a gun smith. The inside of the store was packed, very nice and smelled good and clean. All the store employees were very friendly and professional in a every way; they answered all our questions, and make sure we understand everything we was buying. Amidst the total chaos of COVID and firearm sales Impact Guns was able to make a long time dream come true for me. The website was direct, had very easy directions on how to purchase online, and great communication. I had an email confirmation right away regarding my purchase, and wasn't charged for my purchase until it shipped (very rare these days). Due to my unique purchase (it was a LR package from the manufacturer with accessories already installed) a very small item was either misplaced or forgotten by the manufacturer. 1 star is being generous. Placed an order on Lay-A-Way in the morning. $300 dollar deposit. They are days behind in processing orders. I didn't receive any confirmation of the order so I started looking up info on them. They have about 1.5 rating with the Better Business Bureau. Not wanting to risk sending $1000 to an unreportable business, I cancelled the order by email and voice chat. They're also days behind in reading those. (calling in, you're on hold indefinitely). 2 days later when I deposited $300 into my account, they had taken it out that morning. Waited 36 minutes to talk to customer service, not refunds on Lay-a-way deposits. Had to talk to a manager to cancel my order and they're only going to refund me $196. Okay, let me start by saying some good things. If they have a gun, in stock, and you simply want to purchase it, and be on your way, the staff is pretty great; helpful, friendly, professional and courteous. Moreover, all of the staff has always been very nice, they're great guys, and I've been a customer for several years. However, if you want to do anything else, that is where the problems arise. Want help with accessories, they tend to blow you off with "we probably don't have anything", or "you are probably better off looking online". Need to order something? It's obviously not their favorite thing to do. Do a transfer? They must really despise this, because they resist being helpful at every single stage, and seem exceedingly "put out" by the entire process. Also, in particular - They have this mantra of "don't call us, we'll call you". Have a question? "Well, has anyone called you yet?" If not, "they will call you when it's here". In fact, many of their responses are centered around this theme of "we cannot be bothered to help you, so please go back to waiting for someone to call you", and they're kinda snide about this part. I say that having heard it from more than one employee, and instead, multiple. Case in point, after one employee blew off my question about the other dealer getting their FFL, I find out 6 days later, that they were STILL waiting for it! So, the "don't call us, we'll call you" approach, combined with the failure to actually do their part, resulted in an unneeded delay. I had to go in, ask for the manager, and have him send it, to get the process started. In fact, I'd encourage one of their managers, to call in, anonymously, and ask them to "check on something", so they can see how they enjoy the standard "has anyone called you yet?" response, as delivered, and then perhaps they could consider recommending something more helpful. Oh, and also, they aren't great about the "we'll call you" part either. So, they hate it when you call and ask about something, but, they aren't real good about notifying you "their way" either. So, I don't know if it's because of the way the business operates, and all of these "other" tasks are a PITA for them, and that's why they don't want to do them, or if it's something else altogether. It's hard to understand, because as I started with, if you just want to walk in, pick a gun that is in-stock, and buy just that gun, they would get 5 stars. I would not use Impact for a firearm purchase. Their website does not accurately reflect what is in stock. Their 1-800 has been down (all week?) and the people working the Ogden location are incredibly unhelpful. I've been trying to work with them for a month to get a specific firearm and they've been utterly useless. I'll never purchase a firearm form Impact and I want to save you from wasting your time too. Update: I got off the phone with Impact and went online and bought the gun from Buds Guns. Their website works and they had an accurate stock of 5 guns available. This place refused to ship a firearm to my FFL of choice. They cited the FFL had a store policy for items left in their possession for an unacceptable amount of time, which I'm aware of and find to be completely reasonable. For a business to think it can dictate policy for another business in a completely different state is absolutely ridiculous. I will never buy from here again and I'll be hitting up social media to spread the word as well as letting all my friends and family know to no longer shop online with this place. read more

Knowledgeable and experienced, they answered all my questions and even questions I hadn't thought of. Horrible, horrible experience dealing with Colton Beardsley. I purchased a gun only to receive a product nothing like the ad. The clip did not even fit the gun. I contacted the company and was responded to by a very rude and demeaning person Beardsley. I was told we got your money and nothing u can do about it. Contact the manufacturer about a warranty issue. Warranty has nothing to due with a faulty product. Please do not do business with these scammers. I am not the 1st but hopefully the last. read more

I have spent thousands of dollars at Impact Guns with some experiences great and others terrible. My last two on-line orders have ruined it for me, I ordered some ammo in March of 2020 and have only received half of it to date. I also bought a rifle, scope and rings and picked it up at the store, when I asked if I could get the scope mounted, I was told the gunsmith retired and recommended going to Sportsmans or Cabela's to get this done, I should have purchased the rifle and scope at another location that will actually mount and bore sight a scope if purchased at that location. I asked if they will be getting a new gunsmith anytime soon, I was told that they would no longer mount scopes, what gun store doesn't have a gunsmith and they advertise that this service is included if you buy the parts at the store. Do yourself a favor and go to Cabela's or Sportsmans Warehouse and get great customer service and people that will take care of you. read more

You would expect to go in and see some one that would be willing to help you with making a sale or even ask you if youve been helped. Whether to make a sale or use the range. Nothing, it was like this twice. The first time was about a month ago and yesterday got the same lack of service. I had one employee that walked right by me and l looked at him and smiled and he saw me and just kept walking without a word or even a smile back. I wonder if they are that good that they dont need my business or my friends business. This was just before lunch both times. They are good at answering phone calls. Shipping is fast, item as described. Everything went perfectly when so many things could have gone wrong (based on horrible experience with another vendor). Impact guns also accepts credit card as their main method of payment, not the gimmicky text-a-check some other vendor uses. Overall a very positive experience. read more

Agree with the negative reviews here. Stop advertising items as "In Stock" just so you can fill up your future backorders. At the same time, the website says items are in stock, while weeks of backorders have sold-out the stated advertised stock levels. Bait and switch, hoping customers wait 4-5 weeks while they replenish stock. Meanwhile they make customers wait for weeks, with no updates, or having to speak ignorant, rude customer support staff when trying to figure out what is happening. Busy my azz. Small company my azz... why do you have such a high employee turn over rate? I see your website says business hours are from 910am-2pm. Maybe this is why this place sucks so bad when it comes to processing orders? Maybe try working 8hrs a day or more, to get caught up and stop being rude to customers that simply want to know where their order is, and if it can't be fulfilled in 2 business weeks... tell the customer... instead of giving us the run around, while you try to save online orders that you have NO idea when they can be fulfilled. You're not overworked as your staff responses seem to imply. You just want to process orders as you have time, while ignoring 3 weeks of backorders. This company is a black hole. In short, I received an Email stating I would not be refunded the 57 dollars, I called and was eventually routed to a Supervisor(Tara?) as the individual who I spoke with first was unable to deviate from the scripted policy. Tara and I negotiated to refund me 30 dollars. To her credit, she agreed that the description of the firearm was misleading. I felt this was a reasonable solution. The discussion was a bit contentious but civil. All good. However, Tara allowed her emotions to get the best of her and she felt the need for the 2nd time in the conversation to insinuate that I was dishonest in my reasons for returning the gun and had intentionally left out information in a previous discussion we had undertaken. Tara was wrong regarding both accusations. Unacceptable. An apology was in order. I am very disappointed with Impact and Clay with their CCW class. 1. Class is supposed to be 5pm to 9pm MST. was told to arrive 30 mins early for paperwork and fingerprints. Did not leave till 10:30 PM. 2. Clay all but ignored the women in the class and only seemed to interact with the men. 3. Would not allow anyone Smoker or Vaper to go outside to smoke or vape on the breaks. I and my wife will NOT recommend this class to anyone! read more

Worst gun shop. The staff are not very helpful. Half the time they are annoyed that you need help And the other half of the time they won't help you at all. I've had a few good purchases here and one or two bad purchases. Others have stated it well, if they have it in stock on the shelf everything will work out great. They are one of the few Glock blue label dealers in Utah. They don't usually have much of a blue label selection, but once in awhile something works out. They also still sale used guns which I love. The employees are mostly pretty good and prices can range from ludicrous to a steal. When I have purchased online though... very inconsistent. If it's something I really want, I'll shop elsewhere vs buying it online. read more

I ordered 1,000 rounds of 9mm and set it up to ship to my FFL in California. The FFL was listed in their database and was selected as the preferred FFL on my account. A day later my order was cancelled for "restricted items". When I asked why it was specifically cancelled since I was legally shipping the ammo to an FFL, their response was "We don't ship ammo to CA". This isn't stated anywhere on their site.
