Jensen was communicative and made sure our ceremony songs, entrance songs, and dance playlist was exactly how we liked it. We hired the Impact Sounds team through our Wedding Coordinator/MC, Bing (from Go Bing Go), for DJ, Photobooth, and Lights. The team truly helped bring all our visions and ideas into reality. We based our grand entrance off of the Golden State Warrior's team entrance and the team really executed that. Bing hyped the crowd up and sounded exactly like the team's announcer, the DJ played the entrance song right on cue, and they were able to flash the lights between blue and gold. In terms of songs throughout the ceremony and reception, we provided a song list for specific events (i.e. cake cutting, wedding party entrance) and then provided a more generic Spotify playlist where the DJ was able to get a better sense of our taste in music and work off of that. The DJ is very flexible and can cater to whatever the couple wants whether that be a set playlist, them creating the playlist for you, sound requests, a "do NOT play" list, etc. The photobooth was a a huge hit. They provided backgrounds, props, different templates, and were flexible about the hours throughout the program. We opted to design our own template and the final prints they provided was exactly what we asked for. The team was also amazing on the more technical side of things like lights, microphone, speakers, cords, etc. They came early to test all their systems and we did NOT encounter any technical difficulty at all throughout the 5+ hours event! A few years ago, we attended a friend's wedding where Impact Sounds delivered banger after banger for a non-stop dance floor and we knew then and there that we'd have to hire them for our wedding. The Impact Sounds crew is highly recommended. We hired them for our Wedding on October 21, 2018 and the communication leading up to the wedding and throughout the wedding day went smoothly. First off, Jensen is a professional who works with you. We were able to communicate through email or phone anytime we had questions. We hired Jensen for DJ and emcee services at our wedding. In our first meeting with him, he came across as extremely professional. We expressed our needs and hey conveyed that he would be able to meet them, including providing emcee services by his employees, whom he personally trained. When we had questions, he was responsive. All seemed well. We never met the emcee before the wedding, however. Huge mistake... First, well in advance of the wedding, we sent Jensen info on how to pronounce the names of the bridal party/family/etc. At the wedding, it was apparent the emcee had never bothered to even practice or attempt to try to say them. It was so bad that he butchered the groom's name not once, but four times. And for some reason, when virtually everybody corrected him time and time again, he continued to grossly mispronounce the name. Second, he spoke as if we was announcing a street fight in the ghetto. (Jensen doesn't, so the emcee's demeanor came as a surprise) Third, he went off-script and added unsolicited bridal games. Semi-lewd ones at that. One look at the crowd, which had many 90-year-old grandparents, and any remotely rational person would have realized that probably wasn't a good idea. It took several firm requests to shut that down. So, just say no to the emcee. The DJ, on the other hand, was the saving grace. He was professional, spun tracks the right way, and was responsive to our playlist. He's the reason for bringing up our rating. At the end of it all, it was such a happy day that the subpar emcee was just a blip, but lesson learned: be very careful--even when the highly professional owner assures you his employees are high caliber, make sure you verify yourself. For DJ services alone, we were content. So were the guests. read more

We worked with Jensen and hired Impact Sounds for their emcee, DJ and photobooth services for our wedding last May and could not have asked for anything better. Everyone was super professional, down to earth and thing could not have been any easier. Jensen made everything simple and straightforward and was super flexible and patient. As a crazy stressed out bride, I had sent a couple of last minute changes to him the day before the wedding and him and his crew accommodated the change seamlessly. Impact Sounds gets my 5-star review. We hired them for our wedding in October 2012 for both our ceremony and reception. If you are looking for one stop vendor they are the ones to go with. They are true professionals who have mastered their craft. All we had to do was send them our songs list, ceremony schedule, reception schedule and they did the rest. They come prepared and are dressed in classy attire which was important to us. We booked through Jensen and it was a seamless transaction. Ceremony: Our ceremony entrances for the officiant, the parents of bride and groom, the wedding party, the flowers girls and the bride entrance were all song dependent. We just sent Jensen our play list and ceremony program and he delivered on point. He had enough sound to overcome the outdoors and the wind. Reception: We had up-lights, monogram, projector and screen for our slideshow, wireless mics, and emcee services. For the dinner music they just filled in the gaps with their usual stuff. When the dancing started they had a mixture of 80s rock, top 40 hits, and well a little bit of ghettos (Little John) stuff. Since a majority of our guest was intoxicated and was from the Oakland area it was just perfect. At one point everyone at the wedding party was dancing even the kids and old folks. And that they did...they played music that was perfectly suited to the crowd. There was not a time that the majority of the guests weren't on the dance floor, including three songs in when literally 95 of the 100 guests (including my 84 year old grandma) were grooving on the dance floor. I used Impact Sound for my wedding back in June. I used them for my photobooth, slideshow, and DJ. They were awesome to work with. When I talked w/ them early I asked if they had a wireless sound hookup for their projector b/c I knew we would need one for our slideshow. At the time Jensen said they currently didn't have one but would probably get one before the wedding and would let me know. A couple of months later he called to say they had one so It would be no problem. GREAT! As the date got closer I asked Jensen if he would go to an onsite meeting. Our reception was at the SFDC Galleria in San Francisco. It was a big venue and we were having a lot of people so I wanted to make sure that Jensen was familiar with the set up and if he had any questions for the onsite technician he could ask him ahead of time. Jensen came and it wasn't a problem at all. On the day of the event the DJ was awesome. The set up and take down of the slide show was perfect. He did break up the intro to our song but it wasn't something that I specified to him. And the dance floor was ALWAYS PACKED. He wasn't able to play all of the songs that we requested and played some we didn't but I guess that didn't matter b/c it wasn't like our guests noticed. Everyone had an awesome time! After the wedding he even sent me pictures that they had taken from their own personal camera. They got some great shots! The only thing that I could complain about was the quality of the photobooth pictures. I guess it's sort of my fault b/c I didn't totally look into it. I got a little lazy in that research department. It only fit max 3 people and the picture quality wasn't that great. If I could do it over again I probably would've not been lazy and looked for another company. If I ever need a DJ in the future I would definitely use them again. read more

What great wedding DJs! I just got married this past July, and Impact Sounds really made the soundtrack for the day. Jenson met with us beforehand to coordinate the day and really get a feel of the musical style that we were looking for. We wanted specific songs for the wedding, and they went out of their way to get the music. They did the ceremony music beautifully, and they really got the party going during the reception. And great sound system! I've been to weddings where people come and go on the dance floor, but the DJ kept the dance floor packed all night long. On top of that, they took some pictures, and we were able to rent a projector for the slideshow.
