Then, just before Christmas in 2019, it seemed like the batteries weren't getting charged by the solar panels. Chris came out and determined that one of the panels had failed. He replaced it and the gate works great! It can be rare in Mendocino County to find a tradesman that shows up when he says he will, provides quality products and service, and stands behind their work. Then, on the very first day, the boom was barely moveable - I'm talking snail pace, the slowest I've ever seen. took us almost 2 hours to get about 3 blocks away - I have videos. It's crazy. And then after that, the boom stopped working multiple times - they sent a technician out to fix it the first day blaming user error (the tech called me and explained - told me they had to recalibrate it with their computer, nothing we could have done by phone on our own), but then we gave up on the second day. They still charged me full price without exceptions. Even charged me for fuel at the end. We lost time on this job and without equipment, had to spend even more money on other equipment from someone else. Never again. Just go to United or Sunbelt. Lesson learned trying to work with the small guys.

The quality of their craftsmanship really stood out -- everything was built solid, installed correctly, and finished with a lot of attention to detail. The gate came out exactly how I wanted it, and the fencing and custom metal work look fantastic. You can tell they take pride in their work because everything feels sturdy, lines up perfectly, and has a clean, professional finish. They were easy to communicate with, showed up when they said they would, and made sure the job was done right rather than rushing through it.
