We arrived in Rome pretty early in the day, around 9am, and had been having trouble to find a decent place to grab a meal and espresso. Thankfully we went down and came across Impero Romano. The staff was very friendly and they have an excellent selection of pastries and sandwiches. The only thing that threw us off was that it was double the price to take a seat and have food at a table as it was to consume it at the counter. I guess it takes the place of a seating charge, but it seemed steep. However the food was quality and fresh, the espresso was great, and being able to have a prosecco at that time of the day made it even better. If you're planning on eating in, be prepared to spend more. But for take away this place is killer. The food is good, the espresso is good and its a convenient location. read more
