You can tell that they cater to an American and foreign crowd. That was unfortunately a little sad as their tiramisu was soaked with coffee. Got an amazing cacio e Pepe and oxtail dish. Portions were amazing and taste was really good. Lovely ambiance overall. Not sure it's worth the wait in line considering how many amazing pasta places are around the corner

    Lobster Pasta

My lobster pasta was one of the best dishes I had in Rome. While the truffle pasta was a bit overhyped in my opinion, it was still fun watching it being prepared on the cheese wheel. The service was friendly, and it's a great spot for visitors looking to experience the area. We sat on the outdoor patio, where the ambiance was lively with locals passing by, making for a memorable dining experience.

Women are rolling fresh pasta to order, there is a line that wrapped around the corner but the wait was not long and well worth it. The restaurant is old world Italy and we sat in the patio outside. We started with meat balls and bread, the meatballs stand up to the best I've ever had, the burrata was good also. The pasta dishes are perfection and prepared al dente, we had the fettuccine short rib pasta, Cacio e pepe, Carbonara and Arrbbita

Multiple locations so you don't need a reservation but this location specifically does accept reservations so if you want to be on the safe side, I would go here. I love the ambiance. It's a comfy place to eat. The waiters are nice and fast. The carbonara is rich and thick. The pasta al dente perfectly. The pancetta pieces are salty and fatty. It's a heavy meal but it is delicious. The burrata is perfect to share and delicious.

Their pasta is freshly made, and one of the highlights is to watch the matronas roll and cut it by the window. I loved my Fettuccine all'Amatriciana, a traditional sauce from Rome, and I suggest you order it while in the city. And the Scaloppine al limone was also great!

One of the most popular Italian restaurants in Rome with multiple locations throughout the city all with lines. When we arrived on a late afternoon, we waited about 10 minutes before getting seated. To start off, we got the Limoncello Spritz (€10) and Aperol Spritz (€10), which were refreshing. For our pasta, we ordered the Fettuccine with Oxtail (€18) and Carbonara (€17). We also wanted to order two more Secondi dishes, but the waiter warned us that the pasta is filling. After we finished the pasta, we did still order the Rabbit (€19) because it wasn't something we usually see on the menu. For the carbonara, the flavor was delicious but not really my favorite pasta shape. It was also quite al dente with a chewy texture. I have to say that the oxtail was spectacular though with its juicy and tender meat sauce. While the rabbit was nice to try once, it was a bit dry with minimal meat. Overall, good spot but nothing worth waiting too long for. Also, I'd stick to the pasta here as it's all handmade. You even see them handrolling them inside. Note that they also charge €2 per person for service fee already.

Man, this was the best pasta I've ever had. The flavors were so rich, the noodles were so tender, the meat was so moist. They have definitely perfected their craft. The tiramisu was also the best I've ever had. Our server had such high energy, it was really appreciated. The ambiance wasn't anything crazy, but we were already shaded and protected from the street and sidewalks. We'll definitely be coming back next time we're in Rome.

Stopped in after seeing a lady in window making fresh pasta. The food is fresh with average flavors in a clean establishment. Fast service in turning tables and long wait in getting your food. The only problem is the prices are higher and the charge 20% on top of bill.

    Insalata Mista
    L K.

This popular spot seems to be a hit with both locals and tourists. We arrived around 2:30 PM for lunch and only waited a short time for outdoor seating. We ordered the insalata mista, which came without dressing, but the table olive oil and vinegar worked well. The bread they bring to the table is not complimentary (costs €4), but it was good. We tried the tagliolini cacio e pepe and gnocchi with beef ragu. I enjoyed how perfectly al dente the pasta was. The cacio e pepe was rich and quite salty and slightly bitter which was overwhelming to try to finish. Overall, it was a good experience with friendly staff, and it was cool to watch the pasta being made through the front window.

Pasta here is SOOO fire. Came on a Wednesday around noon and just waited 5 minutes but seated very quickly. Ordered the gnocchi which had an amazing soft texture and blended so well with the tomato sauce. The pesto noodles were also perfectly al dente and thick and pesto was soo delicious and creamy!! Also love the view of the pantheon next door. This place is one of my fave pasta places in Rome!

    Caprese salad

    1) Service was unacceptable. Very slow and ignored until we spoke up. Too concerned about turning the tables. 2) Food was mediocre to say the least. The Caprese salad was uneatable. The cheese was rubbery and could barely cut it with a knife (see attached pic). Probably premade and refrigerated (not good!). I let the server and manager know and was dismissed. After a lengthy conversation, it was removed from our bill.

Yes it's a bit of a wait in line on the narrow street but we were not disappointed. The pasta was very fresh and delicious! I would recommend to try it it... when in Rome..

    Limonata and Sparkling water

Italy is renowned worldwide for its delectable cuisine with so many dishes to choose from, and the capital is no exception. The cuisine we think of today as distinctly Roman is the result of millennia of converging influences, from the pastoral traditions of the surrounding countryside to Rome's Jewish community, the oldest in Europe. Roman food traditions are deeply rooted in the concept of "cucina povera" (poor cuisine), where simple, affordable ingredients are transformed into extraordinary dishes.Their food also favors aggressive flavors. Classic dishes are heavy on black pepper, funky pecorino, and bitter greens. Located near the Campo de' Fiori, the only monumental square in the Historic Center not to host a church or a basilica on Via dei Baullari, my partner, family member, and I were recommended by our golf cart driver, Achilles, and with his assistance got a table outdoors immediately upon arrival as first-timers in Rome. Osteria da Fortunata is a popular choice for many travelers seeking authentic Roman cuisine, where fresh homemade pasta is made on-site. As an appetizer to share, we went for the Supplì (rice balls). These delightful deep-fried balls of deliciousness are among Rome's most beloved food staples. They are nothing if not simple. Like arancini, their more famous Sicilian counterparts, they consist of balls of risotto rice, lovingly lathered in gooey mozzarella and ragù meat sauce, coated in breadcrumbs, and deep-fried to perfection. For our main meal, we opted for Spagetti with Pesto, Salad, Sciavatelli All'Amatriciana, and Tagliolini with Cheese and Pepper. We washed them down with Limonata and Acqua Frizzante. The quality of the ingredients was superb, as the taste and the sauces were extremely rich and sparked one's senses. The portions were really plentiful, and one definitely would not go out hungry. The service was a bit chaotic but in a good way, with the waiters moving fast, speaking loud, and joking with some tables. Prices were not the cheapest, but considering the quality and the location. Despite how busy it can get, we never felt rushed either. We can recommend.

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

You can pair your dishes with an aperol spritz or mini bottle of wine for less than five euros. The pasta was about nine to eleven euros and the portions were more than plenty. The chef and owner are super nice and very informative about their dishes. If you are a fan of spice you have to try their chef-recommended dish.
