I spent over a month working with CarMax to have a vehicle transferred from Nevada. There were some…read moreminor back-and-forth issues during the process, but the real problem was the window tint. The vehicle had window tint that is legal in Nevada but illegal in Colorado. The rear windows are limo tint and the front windows were around 28%. I told the agent I was working with at least eight separate times that I could not purchase the vehicle with that tint. Not only is it illegal in Colorado, it also makes the car very difficult to drive at night. Each time, I made it clear that the tint would need to be removed before I could buy the car. To pick up the vehicle, I drove about 1.5 hours south while my mother drove about an hour north to meet me there. When I arrived, they attempted to sell me the vehicle with the illegal tint still on it, despite all the previous conversations where I had specifically asked that it be removed. What is most frustrating is that no one ever told me they would refuse to remove the tint. If they had simply told me that ahead of time, I would have saved three hours of driving and a completely wasted trip. Instead, I showed up only to find out the car was not something I could legally buy or safely drive. Chris at that location (I don't know his last name, and there are two of them) repeatedly assured me things would be handled, but in the end nothing was resolved. The entire experience was extremely disappointing. After this experience, I hope to never do business with CarMax again, especially this location. If you are considering buying a car from here, I would strongly encourage you to think carefully and consider other options. My experience with their customer service was extremely poor, and it felt like my concerns as a customer simply didn't matter.

When I was discussing my…read morepurchase, a 2019 Ram, I mentioned to my salesman, Colton, that exhaust leaks were common on 5.7's and I wanted that addressed. They warmed the truck up to hide the initial tick, I found out about it the following morning. When I brought it up, they said they would take care of me. They absolutely will not. So now, I'm out the down payment on the truck and a $1500-$2000 repair out the gate. This is something they should have addressed before showing the truck. Mike was the lead sales manager on the deal and he was extremely rude when I brought it up after the purchase. I would not recommend McCloskey to anyone, ever, they shouldn't have been open as long as they have been with the way they treat their customers. They represent the worst in the springs. I would give them negative stars if possible, they don't even deserve one. Don't purchase anything from them and get the word out. Don't fall for the BS their salesman will spew to get the deal. They do not care about the quality of their vehicles and will push off expensive repairs on you. Buyer beware.

We also had money to put down besides the equity from the trade in. We sat at the salesman's desk for about 5 minutes before we went to test drive the vehicle. After test driving the vehicle we wanted to get we went back in to see what kind of deal could be worked out. We stood at the entrance for about 30-45 minutes before we were asked for the keys for our trade. Then waited around for about another half hour before looking for the salesman - who was helping out a couple other customers while we were waiting. We never were asked to go back to the salesman's desk to work numbers and instead were discussing some initial numbers to include the paltry offering for our trade in the service waiting area. Not that we were expecting an exorbitant amount of money for our trade but it was a pathetic offering for a 2020 year, always garage kept and in great condition, and with less than 36,000 miles on it. We've bought at that dealership at least twice when it was Larry Miller Liberty Toyota and each time we were treated like they actually wanted our business and they sat down with us and we took the time to work a deal. That was definitely not the case with Corwin. We felt like they couldn't care less if we were there or not. The salesman was nice enough but just didn't act like they had time to try to work something out since we weren't going to put down a ton of money for a down payment. In hindsight we should've taken the hint and just left and went somewhere else while we were standing there just waiting, but we wanted to try to make a deal on our end. After all was said and done, we got the vehicle - and the deal - that worked for us at a Denver area dealership who was actually willing to properly sit down with us and work the numbers. We won't be going back to Corwin dealerships when the time comes to buy a vehicle again.

After a week of car shopping, we returned to Winslow to buy a 2026 x5 they advertised on their website for $63,483 in multiple places. Under their BOLDED SELL PRICE of $63,843 in extra details it shows even cheaper at $63,184). In those same details there's a link for "Read More". It opens a popup "LEARN MORE". It clearly shows the lower $63,184 price with monthly payment, financing details, etc. No disclaimers or fine print anywhere saying Winslow doesn't have to honor prices even if its a mistake. We finally found the car we want, at the price we want, and payment we want. Worrying there might be a mistake, I texted our salesman (he is great and none of this is his fault) and specifically said my wife is very interested in this x5 (attached screen shots from Winslow website showing Dealer Discount of -$13,116 and the Bold Sell Price $63,483). Then said "Love that $63K price tag with $13K off." I wanted no confusion on the price (it was great deal) and highlighted $13K off to make sure it wasn't a typo. Salesman replied we were in luck because it was there (he sent pic), a courtesy loaner and had 3,641 miles (matched website exactly). When we got there, I asked him why it was discounted so much. He said because it is a loaner. I said you have 2 other loaners but they were about $6K . He said he didn't know why but the price shown on the website is the price. We test drove it just to be sure and my wife loved it. She said this is the one and I was so glad our search was over. Salesman went inside to talk to management then took us to talk to the General Sales Manager Aaron Berger. Our conversation started out nice enough. Aaron quickly explained the $63K price was a glitch in their system and Winslow couldn't sell it for that price. He blamed Winslow's 3rd party website servicer and showed me his texts back and forth with them about how they don't know why it showed that price but it shouldn't. Then came the "SWITCH" with the "REAL PRICE" shock of...wait for it...$68,670...$5,486 more than the advertised price. Multiple times Aaron told me Winslow just couldn't sell it for the $63K price, apologized for the glitch, and blamed Winslow's 3rd party web maintainer. Aaron didn't even offer to come down a little more as a way to apologize for their "MISTAKE". Expecting Winslow to possibly not honor their advertised price, I already Googled before arriving if a Car Dealership had to honor their advertised price even if it was a mistake. It said (I know Google can be wrong) they did unless there is fine print or disclaimers allowing them not to honor the price. I searched their website exhaustively and there was none. I told Aaron I wasn't trying to be a jerk but I didn't think they can legally not honor the price. Aaron immediately said he "COULD NOT" not and "WOULD NOT" sell it for the advertised price. Then I told him I would be consulting with an Attorney and he said dismissively "OK". Then we left his office and he hurried out of the dealership leaving me with our Salesman. I purposely told the Salesman, in a voice Aaron and everyone else could hear, it was not right for Winslow to not honor the price. I came here specifically for that car and for that price. The Salesman apologized and agreed it was Winslow's mistake. We then left totally dejected. I hope Winslow will change their mind an honor their advertised price but I don't expect they will. I definitely am consulting an Attorney. In the end, Winslow has lost the business of a 2-Vet family, will ultimately lose more than the $5,486K difference thru published bad reviews and negative word of mouth (I have a loud mouth) campaigning, and will know they could have made it right but choose not to.

This was after the first issue after 2 months of having the vehicle, where my washer fluid hose poured out all of the washer fluid I put in! I reached out about that saying how after only 2 months it isn't right I would have to be out for any issue like that. I was coldly told they can't do anything for me! Now the brakes the very next month! I took it to a shop (not theirs because I have no trust in them now!) & it needed new front rotors & brakes & a brake fluid flush because it was so mucked up!!!! The caliper was causing the brakes to wear uneven where my back was at a 6 but front was at a 2!!!! Rotors were severely grooved so needed new rotors, pads, & brake flush which was $549 after my $50 off coupon. 3 months of having the vehicle & putting that kind of money on an issue that should have been caught & handled during their "complete inspection" is unacceptable. This is the first & last time I will go to them for a car! Needless to say I won't be bringing the car in for servicing w/them because they don't care & are dishonest. I still haven't dealt with the washer fluid hose. Bob Penkhus on Test Dr. bent over backwards to do what they could whenever I had an issue. When I first bought a car from them about a month later there was an issue that they took care of, no cost to me, because I just bought it & they wanted to keep my business. Whenever I needed a repair they worked with me to find any discounts they could give to help! THAT is how you keep customers. I only bought from Mike Maroone because Bob Penkhus didn't have any used cars in stock that met my requirements at that time.

Our Subaru is our reliable family car, with an elderly grandma and 2 kids it gets us from A to B, so not having it is really hurting us. My husband took our Subaru in because all the emergency lights came on, they told us it was the camshaft and it would be 1400 to fix, luckily for us it's covered under warranty. So after a week, we go back to get our car, mind you we don't live close. We live 40 min away, so this isn't like a hop, skip, and a jump away. My husband drives the car from the Subaru service to his work, and once he pulls into his job, ALL THE LIGHTS CAME ON AGAIN! Oh, it's also New Years Eve, so my husband plays phone/text tag with the person he's working with trying to tell him that he's bringing the car in. So we have to scramble to find a way to drop the car off but we did. As of yesterday, he was told that our car won't be looked at until Monday. Our car has literally been there for 2 weeks. And we have been without it for 2 weeks almost. I realize there's no sense of urgency because it's covered under warranty but honestly I wish someone else besides us cared about our car getting fixed. We had an Acura before and I've NEVER had issues like this when dealing with getting our car fixed. Really disappointed in the lack of urgency when it comes to getting our car fixed and given back to us, like no one cares. UPDATE TO MY REVIEW AS OF 1/5/25. Now my husband is being asked for all the records and receipts of his oil changes. My husband takes care of this car, he takes it to Les Schwab and changes the oil himself. Instead of keeping our car hostage and not fixing it why couldn't you all just fix it right the first time?!?!?!?! Because it's under warranty, now you wanna try and blame us, and find a way to make us pay something?!? Are you kidding me???! What kind of service is this nonsense???

My husband brought his mother to be a co-signer for him, due to us going through hardships since my premature baby was born and I had to quit my job to care for him. Joe Burgess, the finance and sales manager told my husband to write up a letter on our hardship, and he will submit it to a lady he knows with one of the lenders on Monday (3/11/19) when she was in the office. He said with it being Saturday, we will just have to wait until Monday to see what can be done. He assured us that they are not like the big dealerships and will not sell the car from under us. He said that particular vehicle has been there for a little bit and isn't going anywhere. Today, Monday, 3/11/19.... my husband gets an email from Joe 8 minutes after they opened explaining "Thank you for submitting the letter, however sorry, the car was sold Saturday afternoon." This same guy, Joe, is the one that assured us that it was basically on hold for us over the weekend so we can see what happens on Monday... and now somehow it got sold from under us. I will never ever reccomend Dream 4x4 to anyone and I will write multiple reviews everywhere I can so other people are warned on how they do business. This was an extremely dirty move on their part. Now we are still looking for a vehicle with a huge ding on the credit score, along with our current hardship already.
