Import towing towed my son's car from a parking lot he has always parked which just recently changed their parking parameters and the sign noting this was hidden behind a tree which he did not see. While its completely understandable things happen part of life, what's not understandable was the way he was treated by both the person towing the car (he did talk to tow driver and was actually leaving right when they were towing the car) and the yard when he went to pick it up. Both employees were unbelievably rude and unprofessional when dealing with him while he tried to remain calm. Maybe these guys are used to dealing with obnoxious college kids being a college town and all but that's not fair treat all people based on a bias. My son comes from a family who owns several auto shops and knows how to handle himself with grace and respect and it would have been nice if the guys at import towing showed the same curtesy. Also, the price of the tow and to impound his car seemed very high and to get it back 8 hours earlier for $140 more seems ridiculous. Maybe they think they are teaching these kids a lesson but really all they are doing is teaching them to not be respectful and understanding in a tuff situation. It's the day after Thanksgiving and many services were closed. We contacted Import Towing and they could help us. We needed a jump to get back on the road to home. Josh came to help us and got us going right away. Thankful they were open and responsive AND Josh really knew what he was doing. The price was reasonable too. Our vehicle was towed from saint John's church parking lot in Fort Collins. Our fault yes, we didn't pay to park and within 30 minutes it was towed. The issue I have is when we called to find out the location of the tow yard to recover our vehicle we dealt with 2 very rude people. the dispatcher was rude to my fiancé and when we were given the number to "David" who towed the vehicle he was extremely rude to my fiancé who I purposely had call instead of me because I was too riled up. she was having a hard time hearing him and asked him if he could text the address to her which he responded "oh my god I said I would text you.". she told him he didn't have to be rude and he said "I'm not". If anyone knows davids last name and could provide it I would love to send him a Christmas card.... read more

My wife was recently involved in an auto accident resulting in her car being totaled. She suffered multiple injuries however we expect a full recovery. I went to Import Towing to retrieve a couple of items from the car and also the license plates from the vehicle. I took a flat head screwdriver and a wrench but unfortunately I needed a phillips head screwdriver. I was able to remove the front plate, despite having the wrong type of screwdriver but could not loosen the rear plate. I asked if I could borrow a phillips head but was told NO, the owner would not lend me the tool (owner was operating a forklift in the yard and I was in plain sight). I then offered to leave a $20 deposit and was still told NO. This being the case, I drove a few miles to purchase the needed tool for $5.00 and returned to Import Towing. I removed the plate in less than a minute. Since the owner was now no longer in the yard I left the new phillips head screw driver with Rene (a wonderful lady who was very nice to work with) and told her I wanted to leave the screwdriver with her to give to the owner and tell him he could shove it up his ###. read more

A ZERO STAR rating would be appropriate! My daughter was in a car accident just before Christmas and they charged me $490 to tow her car less than 5 miles! They profit on others misfortune! I could have a semi truck towed for $200! Bad carma! Don't use their service! They will have no problem USING YOU!!!! read more

They came to tow our truck and fifth wheel. They sent two wreckers, because they didn't think it was safe to pull them together. They're probably right. They were very cheerful and helpful and professional. So we liked them a lot. read more

I was out of town and my young daughter's car slid off the road into a ditch in the snow in the dark. She was shaken by the experience and called me for help. The car was half way blocking the road and it was very dark. The road in question is on a hill and it was really icy. I called around after my normal company could not do it due to having a truck down. I ran into a number of shops that did not have four wheel and so could not make it up to the site of the accident. Import Towing was recommended by another company and they came through with flying colors. Got right there -- a half hour or so but we are up in the foothills -- and popped her right out. Late lastnight (Sunday 12/14/21) I locked myself out of the car while running into the store and had left the car running since it was negative temps and decided to leave my phone as well, the doors locked behind me and I wasn't able to get in. Luckily the guy at the store let me use the phone to call Import Towing which saved me literally! They came within 10-15 min of waiting. Shawn L was a life saver!! Car broke down in the middle of pingree park. Some guy was nice enough to give us a tow to Rustic. Called the towing company and Shawn was there to pick us up within an hour and a half. The first time I was towed by them, it was not with consent and during a traffic incident, which should have generated a negative relationship, but they were so empathetic and friendly that I kept them in mind should anything else come up and I needed a tow again. I ended up getting towed without consent by another company (H & K Towing AKA Karri's Towing) who were bullying me, harassing me, deliberately trying to screw me over, behaving abusively towards my brother and me and using unethical tactics to keep my car from me. I immediately called Import Towing to see if perhaps my car could be moved from H & K's lot to Import Towing's impound center and they were enthusiastic in wanting to help out and get my car. H & K tried to tell me that I wasn't allowed to use Import Towing and that I HAD to use Choice Towing, because they are buddies with them. It made me uncomfortable to think that they would pressure me into using Choice. I also lost trust in Choice because of the fact that they have a relationship with the mutants over at H & K. Suddenly after the cops got involved, it was made clear that Import Towing WAS in fact allowed to tow my car for me and take it to their impound lot where I could recover it. Every staff member at Import Towing that I have encountered have been eager to help and as an added bonus: the rate they charged to move my car was affordable both times. The driver was so punctual that he showed up a couple of minutes early and clearly had a good relationship with the police officers who were there as civil standbys. Their entire staff showed the same empathy, excellent customer service and high quality as they had the first time they towed me. I will never question which towing company to use again, for as long as I live in Fort Collins. I also will never recommend anyone other company to my friends and family, and believe me I have quite a few. Bottom line is that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these guys and gals to anyone - they run a classy business that is actually in it to help people, even when people make mistakes. Import was excellent. They answered quickly and the technician, Joe, was totally knowledgeable and polite and and helpful. He drove safely and efficiently. Granted I had to wait 2 whole hours for a tow, but I think it was just a busy day for them and they told me it would be about 1.5 hours so at least they didn't way over-promise. Joe had vehicle mechanical knowledge, was polite and didn't talk down to me, (SOMEtimes men in this biz do that to "single" women). He was gentle with my car and had a big, comfortable truck with a back seat (good for kids/car seats). I would call them again for sure. read more

Worst possible service. Called them and was specific that I couldn't meet the driver for 20-30 mins depending on traffic. Instead I would learn that the driver was immediately dispatched so he got to my vehicle before I could arrive, and then left. I drove around the lot looking for him. I called the company to be told that they had immediately dispatched him, he had arrived, I wasn't there and they got a pd call and that takes priority. That part I understand. What I find unprofessional is they didn't follow our agreement and then didn't bother to contact me to let me know the driver had been dispatched to another call. So I'm sitting in the lot with no idea the driver wasn't coming. All because the woman who answered the phone disregarded my information. read more
