Where do i begin…read more... I began my journey at PUSH a little over 3 years ago. I think for anyone who has been out of the fitness game for a while, coming back in can definitely be intimidating, scary, and sometimes discouraging. Im so happy THIS is where i began... it was nothing like i'd feared. The trainers are all so Knowledgeable, motivating, and welcoming! You really begin to feel like you are a part of something bigger, a fitness family that is constantly PUSHing eachother to do better, work harder, and grind a little more every day. I do personal training with Mike Contreras, who is amazing at what he does with every client, just like all the Push trainers are! Not only do they offer personal training, but athletic, crossfit, and physical therapy. To top it off and one stop shop that offers a shake/meal prep bar and chiropractor. 3 years later, -80lbs (still a bit to go), I've seen my body, STRENGTH, and own self confidence grow. Im not so hell bent on numbers on a scale, but what my body is capable of; endurance, strength. It wouldn't have been possible without the daily inspiration i get from my PUSH family. When I first started training with her in October I was so nervous about everything. Looking silly while using the equipment, having poor form, being in a room full of fit people while being unfit, you name it and I was probably nervous about it. I've been to the gym before but I never have stayed consistent because of just feeling like I wasn't supposed to be there. Shooffz and Nicol most importantly really changed that for me. She helped me understand all of the equipment, taught me all about proper form, fixed my diet, and overall just motivated me. Additionally, my cholesterol before I started training with her was way above the end of the normal range. Even after it being a few months without me working out or dieting it's now in a safe range and I know I have Nicol to thank for that. On top of all of that, yesterday I went to the gym for the first time since moving and another trainer complimented me on my form (I wonder who taught me that?). So I just wanted to share this for anyone wondering who they should train with at the gym or if it's worth it, the answer is train with Nicol and it's absolutely worth it.

I go into the gym apparently on the wrong side and the rude coach immediately points at me and yells go to the front like Im suppose to know where that is? Second, i have attempted to sign up three times with three different members telling me three different stories. The third time is with that rude coach and he says i can't participate in class unless I handle it (like hello?! I keep on getting tossed around trying to figure it out!). He had the audacity to tell me "we just can't have you taking free classes". That's so embarrassing for him to imply that I'm freeloading off of this gym. I even told him can I just pay for today's class? And he still denied me. Will definitely not invest in my health and money into this unprofessional gym.

I…read morewas really overwhelmed when I first showed up, like nearly to tears b/c I was afraid to be there. I felt like I didn't belong in such a place. By the end of my assessment I was happy, felt great about my accomplishments, and was ready to sign up. Unfortunately, my workout hit me about 5 minutes after I was done talking with my assessment trainer and I totally lost it standing in the hallway. I couldn't tell if I needed to puke or pass out, neither of which happened, but I knew standing in that hall would be the end of me. So I abruptly ran off with my contract to sign up back to my car and sat there with my head on the steering wheel for about 5-8 minutes until I came back to life. If you want a hard core workout in a short amount of time, this is your place. If you want to be challenged at a pace you can actually do, this is your place. If you want to be surrounded by motivating happy people, this is STILL your place. You work your entire body with the system they have set up, and you don't have to worry about using any fancy machinery. It's all you, it's all your body. And there were people of varying fitness levels at this gym, though I do feel like it's a place you go after you know you can handle a workout. I may actually sign up here after I feel a little more bad ass, but I know I could handle it now if I just tried. I just don't want to try right now, I'm happy with my little runs. Thursday is open gym. Show up 10 minutes before the hour to sign in and get paired up with a trainer and see if CrossFit is for you!

This is what I'd call the perfect lunchtime workout. It's short, it's to the point, and it's a…read moretotal vibe. You're in, you're out, and you get a great sweat in without derailing your day. Plus, there's a shower (huge win), multiple bathrooms, and a water station -- all things that make a mid-day class actually doable. What I Liked: * Outstanding customer service and outreach. Before I even stepped into my first class, I got a call, text, and email -- all friendly, professional, and super helpful. They even follow up afterward, which shows they care about building real relationships. * Top-notch coaching and community. Every coach I interacted with was phenomenal. They give you a full tour, introduce you to other members before class, and explain everything thoroughly. The environment feels really welcoming, with a nice mix of FIT regulars and people newer to their fitness journey. * The workout itself. It's that functional fitness franchise model we've all seen -- but with its own flair. It's high-energy, fun, and easy to tailor to your level. I took an upper-body (arms) workout and it hit all the right notes. * Warm-up, finisher, and stretching. We started with a proper warm-up, which I always appreciate, and ended with a core finisher on the floor that was surprisingly tough -- in a good way. I loved that they wrapped it up with some stretching afterward. It felt balanced and intentional from start to finish. * The setup and vibe. The lighting was phenomenal, the sound system and microphone were on point, and the music choice was great. I loved the projector screen announcements -- such a professional touch -- and the club-style lighting really elevated the energy in the room. * Tech + instruction. You get a mix of live, verbal coaching and virtual instruction on the screens, which I actually really liked. It keeps you moving without confusion. * Amenities & details. Clean facilities, well-organized stations, and great overall flow. And yes, they've got some pretty solid swag (even if a little overpriced). * Potential for growth. I could definitely see this franchise expanding across the Southwest. I'm already looking forward to their East Lake El Paso location opening. What Could Be Better: * No ClassPass access. That's a tough one for travelers or anyone trying to sample studios before committing. * Easy to slack if you're not self-motivated. Since it's a self-paced station setup, you really have to push yourself to get the most out of it. If you've got that internal drive, though, it's a great system. * Swag pricing. Like I said -- love the merch, just wish it was a little more reasonable. * Station layout and class size potential. The instructor mentioned the class can hold up to 42 people, which honestly seems wild. I only had about 15 in mine, and even then, the stations weren't anywhere near each other -- I was running from one end of the room to the other every time the timer went off. I actually like the timers, but the setup felt chaotic. I can't imagine 40+ people doing that at once without bumping into each other. I get that it adds steps, but having the stations in order would make a lot more sense. * No mats for floor work. The finisher and stretching were great, but doing them directly on the floor wasn't ideal -- especially after getting sweaty. A mat option would make that part a lot more comfortable and hygienic. Overall, this was a great experience. The staff, the energy, and the format all make it a fun and effective workout. I left feeling accomplished, not exhausted, and I'd definitely come back.

If you're looking for something new or you've always wanted to try crossfit but felt intimidated, go to this gym! They have workout on the hour every hour and the skill levels range from beginner to competitor. Everyone always encourages you to get through your work outs and no one judges. Think because you have kids and you can't go to the gym? Think again! Some mamas and papas bring their little ones as well, they sit in the mat and cheer on their parents! The kids sometimes play together or they have their coloring books, crayons or tablets to play on. Think there's not enough space or the equipment will be old and you have to share? NOPE! The equipment is new and the space is huge!!! Morning classes run about 10 people max and evening classes run up to 30 ish people? Now you're worried if the coaches will see you and your technique? The coaches aren't on their phones, they walk around, look at your posture and help you throughout the workout! They're awesome people to talk to and they always offer tips and tricks to get you to where you want to be! Give it a try, first workout is free and you have nothing to lose!!!!
