This place is more than a gym -- it's a two-story-plus-rooftop experience that somehow manages to feel upscale and welcoming. Think boutique hotel vibes meet high-tech wellness playground. Let's start with the first floor: it's stunning. The aesthetic is modern, spacious, and designed with intention -- every detail feels thought out. The front desk team was so friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in (even when I had a little misunderstanding about my visit -- more on that later). There's a healthy café right by the entrance serving smoothies and food that fits every lifestyle, including vegan options. They even have a secret door that leads to a massage therapist's suite -- yes, an actual hidden door. There's also a retail section stocked with Lululemon and gym swag, so if you forget something, they've got you covered. Parents, take note -- there's also an on-site kids' daycare on the first floor, which I thought was such a thoughtful touch. It's clean, bright, and makes it so much easier for members with little ones to actually enjoy their workout time without stress. The first floor also houses the HIIT training room -- dark, moody lighting, TRX straps, and those curved, motorless treadmills that make you feel like a machine. MetCon classes happen here too, and if you're serious about lifting, you'll find top-notch equipment plus unique tools for competitors or physique athletes. You'll also spot the personal training offices, a compression therapy area (available for an extra fee), and super clean locker rooms with everything -- infrared sauna, steam room, zero-gravity massage chairs, tons of vanity space, and more showers than I could count. The second floor keeps the wow factor going with tons of cardio equipment overlooking the first level and massive windows with mountain views. This is also where you'll find The Trip, and honestly, this alone makes the membership worth it. The Trip is a next-level immersive cycle class -- think virtual-reality-meets-spin-studio. You ride through projected worlds on enormous screens, and it's all synced to music and visuals. The bikes are smooth, and the tech setup is seriously impressive. You even check in via small digital screens before class. That said, my only real miss came during The Trip. As a first-time guest, I didn't get any help setting up my bike, and the instructor didn't acknowledge new riders. Thankfully, another member helped me out -- shoutout to friendly gym people everywhere -- but I wish someone had guided me through that first experience. It's a small thing that makes a big difference, especially in a high-end gym like this. After class, I met Jeff, the general manager, who gave me a full tour -- and he was phenomenal. Super professional, friendly, and passionate about the space. He explained how every class syncs to your Connective app, showing your heart rate and stats in real-time on giant projectors (unless you choose to opt out). It's all very tech-forward, which I love. Upstairs you'll also find Pilates Reformer classes (extra fee), yoga and barre studios, and even a meditation-only room -- dark, quiet, with twinkling ceiling lights and soft music. It's honestly a dream. Every floor has its own bathrooms (thank you!), and everything is spotless and thoughtfully designed. And then -- the rooftop. The vibe up here is unreal. There's a track for running or walking, kettlebells, monkey bars, and a full outdoor workout setup with mountain views. At night, it transforms into this elevated hangout space with misters, ambient lighting, and even a bar serving drinks. They host events up here too, and you don't have to be a member to book one. I came in on a free trial day, but you'd never know it from how I was treated -- the staff was wonderful, and I felt like a valued member. They also offer day passes, week passes, and flexible memberships. So, the hits? Pretty much everything. The design, the energy, the tech, the amenities -- this place nails the luxury fitness experience. The misses? Just a couple small service gaps during my first visit. I feel at home when I walk into Envie! The instructors are teachers at heart and will do nothing but support you and push you in the right ways. When I am struggling in class they will stand next to or sit by me to encourage me not to give up. This studio has helped me drop almost 70 pounds and most importantly find myself again. The virtual classes have been a life saver and have helped me manage the uncertainty during this pandemic. I love my studio and can not wait to see what the rest of 2020 brings!

Also slightly embarrassing is the fact that since it opened up in the plaza with Koze Teppan Grill and Café Italia, I've been getting a regular guilt trip from their sign every time I go to stuff my face with sushi or pizza. Nevertheless, I'm glad I finally got around to giving it a try. This gym is different from most I have seen in the past-- it's a female-only gym that is entirely class-based, with no equipment that you just go in and work out with whenever you feel like. Also, they center many of their classes around something called the MyZone. MyZone is basically a band that goes around your ribcage right near your bra strap. It tracks your heart rate, calories burned, "Effort Points," etc. Effort Points are basically a function of how high you get your heart rate and for how long. It's a whole thing, and there's an app, and I will admit, it's a bit confusing at first, but I will also say that, as of this morning, I've completed three classes with it and already have the hang of it. If you have any questions or hesitation, I would recommend you chat with the trainers on staff there-- they're super helpful in explaining what it's all about. I'll admit I was a little hesitant about joining this gym because the format is so different from anything I had tried before.... but honestly, after the three classes I've taken, I'm sold! I love the fact that your membership fee covers all the classes, with no extra fees. This means that you get a ton of one-on-one or almost-one-on-one time with the trainers for your base fee. At many other gyms I have seen, working with a trainer costs extra, and often costs a LOT more than it does here. The gym, from what I've seen, prides itself on an environment that is supportive, encouraging, challenging, and upbeat. All good things for a fitness studio, whether you are a newbie or a pro at working out! Other pros: - It's clean. Like I-don't-know-how-they-keep-it-this-clean CLEAN. - They run really nice specials on the cost of joining! To give you an idea, the MyZone tracker thingy usually runs about $100 (I'm 90% sure), but I got it for $50. Also, since I signed up after only two classes, instead of taking the full seven day trial that I could have, I only had to pay for the MyZone tracker, and not for the actual membership-- so I got October for only $50! Additionally, they locked me in at a discounted rate of $89 a month because I signed up during a promotion. So price-wise, it's a pretty nice deal. - I believe they even offer childcare by appointment if you have kids. So no more excuses that you can't join a gym because it isn't kid-friendly! - They have a ton of different classes: Zumba, Spinning, Boxing, HIIT, Barre, Yoga, Boot Camps and more! - They switch up their schedule so you don't get bored or have to take the same class over and over, because it's the only time slot that fits into your schedule. Also, they rework the class schedule every month to give even more variety. I'm looking forward to trying all the different classes that they have! Little Known Fact: Envie is an Australian Fitness gym! In speaking to some of the staff, I learned that it's actually quite popular over there, and is just getting started here in the States. So far there are only three U.S. locations, though they do have plans for more. How cool is it that they chose to open one of their three first studios right here in El Paso?! :D

I go into the gym apparently on the wrong side and the rude coach immediately points at me and yells go to the front like Im suppose to know where that is? Second, i have attempted to sign up three times with three different members telling me three different stories. The third time is with that rude coach and he says i can't participate in class unless I handle it (like hello?! I keep on getting tossed around trying to figure it out!). He had the audacity to tell me "we just can't have you taking free classes". That's so embarrassing for him to imply that I'm freeloading off of this gym. I even told him can I just pay for today's class? And he still denied me. Will definitely not invest in my health and money into this unprofessional gym.

I…read morewas really overwhelmed when I first showed up, like nearly to tears b/c I was afraid to be there. I felt like I didn't belong in such a place. By the end of my assessment I was happy, felt great about my accomplishments, and was ready to sign up. Unfortunately, my workout hit me about 5 minutes after I was done talking with my assessment trainer and I totally lost it standing in the hallway. I couldn't tell if I needed to puke or pass out, neither of which happened, but I knew standing in that hall would be the end of me. So I abruptly ran off with my contract to sign up back to my car and sat there with my head on the steering wheel for about 5-8 minutes until I came back to life. If you want a hard core workout in a short amount of time, this is your place. If you want to be challenged at a pace you can actually do, this is your place. If you want to be surrounded by motivating happy people, this is STILL your place. You work your entire body with the system they have set up, and you don't have to worry about using any fancy machinery. It's all you, it's all your body. And there were people of varying fitness levels at this gym, though I do feel like it's a place you go after you know you can handle a workout. I may actually sign up here after I feel a little more bad ass, but I know I could handle it now if I just tried. I just don't want to try right now, I'm happy with my little runs. Thursday is open gym. Show up 10 minutes before the hour to sign in and get paired up with a trainer and see if CrossFit is for you!
