She made it seem like a quasi-trippy gift store that has an eclectic collection of odds and ends. Doing what I normally do, I headed down there with a few friends to check it out. Sure enough, Penny Lane is exactly like it was described. A large collection of odds and ends with something for everyone. The store itself is massive. It has a bit of a 'antique mall' layout to it. One room or section will be one theme and then walking into another room will have a different theme or layout. We saw a ton of cool things. Stuff from Star Wars to Willie Nelson to Harley Davidson. There is something there for anyone and everyone. I recommended this place to my dad and he loved it. He found himself some cool things to get, despite not being a materialistic person himself. My favorite room was the Black Light room, as seen in the main photo above. It was trippy. I've been around black lights before and have seen the effects it has on things, but the extent of these black rooms was intense and immense. Everything illuminated. Everything glowed. I didn't end up buying anything there but I did see a few things I was interested in. My next trip back, I will definitely be picking up a few things to spruce up my home. Woah.

Item was priced wrong, the actual cost was DOUBLE what was on the sign. When I checked out I looked at my receipt, and hadn't even left the register and caught it and when I inquired about it, the poor employee looked and realized it is in fact priced wrong. I asked to return the item, and she had to call the manager who I could hear on the phone asking who I am and where I'm from as if that's somehow relevant to a mispriced item and then could hear her tell the employee to tell me "tough luck and to not refund the item" after hearing I'm local. I've bought bottles of vape juice and had the top explode off while attempting to fill, resulting in me being covered in half a bottle of nicotine solution, which by the way can be absorbed through the skin hence why people wear gloves when making it. I walk back in literally covered in liquid nicotine and again told no dice, can't return nicotine products. I'd understand if I brought it back because I disliked it, but it's literally defective to the point of being a health hazard. While this certainly is a fault of the manufacturer, the policy on zero returns even for defective product is kind of abysmal. The stores are consistently out of stock, it's like inventory management is not remotely a thing. I would not buy any vape devices here, they will not keep stocking the proper coils for your unit and force you into buying a new unit which they will again discontinue selling required coils. I'm not talking years later, I'm talking in a few months they will no longer supply coils. They will however sell you a brand new tank...and then stop selling the coils again. Honestly, just order stuff online from a reputable source and save yourself the headache.

I went home with the Xros vape, a bunch of extra pods, and a couple of bottles of menthol liquids. They were right, and I went again today. An older gentleman helped me, and turned me on to the larger 3ml pods. I'll be going back for a couple more boxes of those, as everything went perfectly. I've got 3 XROS devices, sitting on charger stands (Made for Apple TV remotes - but they work great for this), and a batch of filled pods. Now I have the convenience of the Vuse Alto system without the expense of their disposable pods ($30+ for four) Thanks, guys!

I left voicemails looking for the owner until they literally told me to stop calling which is what I was told to do in the first place. I took the same business course as this guy with Mr. Stevenson and it's obvious Adam learned nothing. And THIS is what you get for buying locally Taylorville.
