Review Visit: July 1st, 2015 "Woah, trippy dude!" The destination Penny Lane Gifts was recommended to me by a friend. She made it seem like a quasi-trippy gift store that has an eclectic collection of odds and ends. Doing what I normally do, I headed down there with a few friends to check it out. Sure enough, Penny Lane is exactly like it was described. A large collection of odds and ends with something for everyone. The store itself is massive. It has a bit of a 'antique mall' layout to it. One room or section will be one theme and then walking into another room will have a different theme or layout. We saw a ton of cool things. Stuff from Star Wars to Willie Nelson to Harley Davidson. There is something there for anyone and everyone. I recommended this place to my dad and he loved it. He found himself some cool things to get, despite not being a materialistic person himself. My favorite room was the Black Light room, as seen in the main photo above. It was trippy. I've been around black lights before and have seen the effects it has on things, but the extent of these black rooms was intense and immense. Everything illuminated. Everything glowed. I didn't end up buying anything there but I did see a few things I was interested in. My next trip back, I will definitely be picking up a few things to spruce up my home. Woah. read more

The store itself is cool. Although I found it sort of weird they had socks locked up in a glass case. What I wasn't impressed with is the employees product knowledge. I went in to replace my Lookah Seahorse. The guy that worked there handed me a lookah box and said this is their newest model. As in the newest Seahorse PRO. I happily purchased what I thought would be a new & improved seahorse. That is not at all what happened. Instead he sold me a totally different apparatus called the Sting Ray. The seahorse is an electronic honey straw or nectar collector. The stingray is an electronic rig. THESE THINGS ARE NIGHT & DAY!! The sting ray uses & wastes tons of expensive concentrate. Like 3-5 times what you need is burned & wasted. The seahorse barely uses any of your concentrate and it hits great plus you get the benefit of the reclaim collection that u can use to vape, smoke or make edibles with. THESE 2 PRODUCTS COULD NOT BE MORE DIFFERENT!! If you wanna have a portable electronic rig that burns tons of your shatter, wax, sand, sugar, crumble, oil etc and wastes lots of product and gives you a half of a hit I suggest throwing your money away on a sting ray. If you're into making the most out of what you have... THE SEAHORSE IS THE BEST PRODUCT ON THE MARKET! THE EMPLOYEES NEED TO KNOW THEIR PRODUCTS. This place is a head shop. There's no denying this. They specialize in t-shirts and music memorabilia. They have hard rock, classic rock, modern rock, hippy music, pop and rap of all types represented here. There is a black-light room right off the main room with posters and other stuff. They also have decor type things and all sorts of random trinkets. Upstairs is for adults only. This is where they have the "novelties" like pipes, bongs and hookahs. They also have adult toys. The lot is kind small and it is sometimes hard to find things if you are looking for something specific so you might have to ask. Visit and browse. You never know what you'll find. read more

Penny Lane is the quintessential head shop. It has been and always will be a Springfield icon. It is THE place to get music/movie/entertaiment-related posters and t-shirts, body jewelry, incense, blacklights, blacklight posters, drip candles, tattoo and piercing supplies, and thousands of other items. The business is family-owned and operated, and the staff knows their stuff. They also have 10,000+ items available on their website now, so I can still shop there even though I'm not in Springfield as often these days. 5 STARS! read more

If I could give less than a one star I would. I was making a purchase for another person, so I bought two items and let him pick the one he wanted, I had two people wait on my that day, neither one informed me that you can NOT get your money back for either product so I was not aware of that, then only after you pay a receipt pops up saying you can only exchange it for somthing else or get a gift card, had an associate warned you before your purchase you would then have a choice to buy it or not. But did not receive any warning you can't get a refund, worst shopping experience EVER !!!!! EMPLOYEE'S should have to warn customers your just screwed once you've made a purchase. They were more than happy to take my money, but they won't refund your money back, had I wanted a damn gift card or other merchandise I would have got it !! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!! read more

This is a Springfield institution. After the storm redo this store seems like two stores. The left side is new and cool, while the right side is old school. With a fun upstairs for sure. Helpful staff and out of the ordinary gifts. It's one of my fav place to shop at the holidays. It's local, fun and just as good as Lincoln attraction. read more

Came in around a year ago to buy a full spectrum CBD cartridge and pen to use with it. The pen burned my cartridge, so I returned it. The owner got angry and rude with me over the pen he sold me burning the cartridge he also sold me. He threw it after I explained what happened and I assumed he threw it away. I was wrong. Came in today to buy the same brand of cartridge and it was the only one there. It was the same exact burned cartridge he resold at full price ($50). Tastes like burned plastic very first hit. I will not step foot in that store again. read more

So when I was in college, this is where we came to get our crazy colors of hair dye as well as our band t-shirts, posters and, upstairs, items from the "adult" section. As the other reviews say, though, this is a head shop. I didn't use if for those purposes but for others, it may be their place of choice. Lots of variety overall and what surprised me after having not been in for almost 10 years is that it is almost exactly the same as it was back in the day. Right down to the scent of the incense that hits when you open the door. Fun trip down memory lane for me! read more

This is the place to get your smoking accessories and apparel!. I needed to get accessories for my PAX 2 and Adam set me up.

I see so many new things every time I stop in. I always pick up some t-shirts & incence. Do yourself a favor & stop in for great stuff

The selection is amazing, the employees however are impartial to customers, they care not about you but about selling you things, most of the older men there whom im assuming own the place, made me feel very rushed with their stares and flat faces with no expressions read more
